I've watched this facility for over 5 yrs now and nothing has improved. The food they serve is far from even average. It's so sad to witness what they expect the residents to eat, especially on the weekends. I have a lady friend who lives full time at this facility and nothing has changed around this place for the better. It's so sad. My mom was here and I always was there to help make sure she was taken care of properly. I had to mark her water glass to make sure it was changed out each week. Sadly the majority of employees are there for a paycheck ( not all) but majority not for the care of the residents. I was fooled by the outlook, the home feeling but if you can't be there all the time to check on your family member I would NOT recommend this facility. My mother passed away Dec 5th 2019 and today Sept 30th 2021 I received a bill from Timberwoods with no explanation what the bill is for, just due upon receipt. My mother had Medicare and medicade. There should be no reason for this bill. And when I called to speak with billing about this bill no one was available to speak with me and I was advised that I'm not the only person inquiring about a bill for a loved one who has passed over a year or two ago. Something smells a little fishy to me.

This nursing home was one of the best nursing homes I’ve been to very near the people are always smiling in the place and very helpful they treated my crazy mother in law wonderful!! Treated her with respect Even with her begin so crazy, with the people they were still very kind and patient with her and went out of their ways to help her in her needs. I just think This place is just a Very nice nursing home! I think I’ll be back in a couple of days for her to go back ! Thank y’all timberwood nursing home for all you do!

My mom was in Timberwood. We knew nothing about it since the hospital recommended it because of my mom’s condition, and it was a last ditch effort. I was satisfied with the staff, the cleanliness of the place, the meals they gave her, the medical attention they gave her, and the rehabilitation they gave her. I was more than happy. What I liked best about it was that it was just a matter of minutes from my house. It was the only one we encountered, and if we had to go back to one, it would probably be this one.

My husband was in Timberwood for about two to three weeks. The staff was great as far as that goes. The rooms were fine. He did really well there. He had some physical therapy, and that was great. He went to the gym and had physical therapy to help him. I didn't have any problems really. I don't think he enjoyed the food, but it was good for him; it was a well-balanced diet. The only complaint I had was there was a urine odor when you walk in the door, and it was moldy and musty smelling inside. It was an old facility. They did have a lot of maintenance people, and they did keep it clean as far as that goes. It was just the smell, and they kind of got used to it.

Do not even think about this nursing home. The spill they give over the telephone and show over the internet is NOT TRUE. For example, my father is 91 and entered the facility on a walker, and then left as a total invalid. They fed him well and kept his Depends changes, but no therapy or rehab; The therapy and rehab is a big deal in trying to get clients. It took weeks and almost an act of Congress to get him a haircut. I requested a podiatrist, but promises and promises. He never had a podiatrist. So, if you have a loved one, I highly recommend another nursing facility.
