I will be going home tomorrow after over a month in the Bradford at Brookside. I will miss all of the wonderful, dedicated Certified Nursing Angels that have assisted in my rehabilitation. The entire staff here ... nursing, housekeeping, CNAs, kitchen, activities ... have been crucial in my rehabilitation. When I couldn't do anything for myself, they did it all for me. Thank you so much for having this facility and its services available. I don't know what I would have done without you. God bless every staff member.

I came in December to volunteer for the resident Christmas party, to help pass gifts and cookies. While I was there you could see just how much the help was appreciated by both the staff and the residents. The staff was friendly and helpful in getting me set up to be a volunteer and the process was super simple.

My Mom went to Bradford for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy after suffering a heart attack. I was pleased with care she received. A huge shoutout to Hope Eaton our DON for answering my 101 calls, to the nurses for making her feel at home and to Lydia in dietary and all her staff for meeting all of Moms coffee needs. ❤️ Torin and the therapy department for getting Mom strong enough to go home and to Theracare Home Health for the continuation of care at home. It takes a TEAM and we were blessed to have The Bradford in our time of need.

I will start out saying this place is nice looking. The issue for the one star is recently as 3/7/22 I have a friend there. I went to visit and his bed was wet along with his clothes and wet diaper. The diaper was not even put on correctly. He is mostly blind and needs help a little more than others. The type pf help like don't cover the food with plastic because my friend was unable to see that it was covered. My friend has to be changed like a baby he has not and can not change himself in anyway. The nurses there tried to make him stand over the toilet and change himself. The attendants that were taking care of him at the time didn't even know any of the details concerning the steps in taking care of him or any medical information about him. Medical information like he is blind, cant take care of himself, needs assistance with almost everything. Imagine walking in your best friends room and he/she is sitting in his/her own urine and clothes soaked with urine, sitting in the same clothes as the day before, upset and scared, have not eaten because she wasn't helped which is needed. There needs to be a major overhaul and education on management and staff.

DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVED ONES THERE!!!! My Mother was there during Covid and I had her removed from there during the summer due to extreme neglect. Even though she is a diabetic, her toenails hadn’t been clipped in a year, and yes, I have pics to prove that fact. She also fell out of her bed twice and broke and dislocated her shoulder. The first time after Covid restriction was restriction was lifted that I went to visit her, it stunk in her room like pee and I pulled back the covers and she was hip deep in urine that had been there so long it had turned a dark yellow/orange! She also had on a diaper way too small her. They said she didn’t have teeth when she came there, which was a lie to cover up that they lost them, but I produced a pic of her at a window visit when Covid first locked everything down, and she was smiling and teeth were very obvious. They also “lost” her wedding ring and most of her clothing. She constantly had a UTI. What finally did it for me though was that they had daughter with Alzheimer’s and even placed her on an OPTIONAL medication for it and did not inform myself or my Father both the diagnosis or the medication. They allowed a relative come into the facility who was on the No Visit/Contact listing AND they gave them the private information of where my Mother had been moved to, and The Bradford THEMSELVES had to report that to the State because it was a HUGE security breech. She had a sore that wasn’t looked at by their “wound care specialist”, and once it FINALLY was looked at by a Dermatologist, it was diagnosed as skin cancer and has now gone to the bone. She’s too weak to undergo any treatments so she’ll end up dying of skin cancer due to neglect. I can back up all statements that I have made. Again, DON’T place your family there.

My mom is at The Bradford at Brookside. They are very good. They are short staffed, but the staff who are there are very dedicated and very nice. The food has good flavor. It's an older place, so you could see that there are several coats of paint on the inside, but on the outside, it looks really nice and new looking.

So far our experience of having mom at The Bradford at Brookside has been very good. I'm really pleased. The staff members go the extra step to make sure that the new client is made to feel warm and included, they come to check on her and ask her if she wants to be invited to activities. They don't just let her stay in her room, and I'm very happy with them. I would refer anyone there. My mom is in the skilled nursing part of the community, but it also has rehabilitation. Their surroundings are beautiful and there are trees. She loves the meals and doesn't complain about the food at all. They provide lots of activities, and they take the residents on outings. She was excited when they took them out to The Dollar Tree and she was able to buy Thanksgiving and Christmas cards. They also have bingo every day and she loves that.

I have relatives at the Bradford; The facility is absolutely beautiful, food is well prepared; Best in Livingston. The weekly and weekend nurses try very hard but upper Management should be revamped! There are some good, caring CNAs but the majority lack heart for the residents. Unfortunately, caring cannot be taught and no amount of money can produce it.
