I'm a resident at The Remington at Valley Ranch. It's clean. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Their work attitude is very good. The reason I've given the food a four instead of a five is the variety. They do housekeeping every other week here, and they do a very good job. They offer card games, other games, music, and entertainment. Compared to other communities, I think the prices are very good.

This facility is small enough that the residents can form strong bonds and a sense of community developed. The staff are helpful and friendly. Activities are varied, including innovative arts and crafts projects, board games, cards, and field trips to nearby restaurants. The apartments are spacious and include lots of storage space.

The Remington at Valley Ranch is independent, but we have our meals prepared for us. It's clean. It's friendly. The food is good. All the residents are nice and all the people that work here are nice. We have a very varied menu and usually we get different kinds of food, Mexican food or Tex-Mex. If we don't like what we see on the menu, we can select something else. it's well prepared. The staff is very friendly and they usually come around and speak to you when they see you and they know you by name. Mike and Lori, the receptionist, and the lady who runs the program where we have our activities are all very sweet and nice. Maintenance and housekeeping are all very good and very thorough. The housekeeping is really sweet, friendly and nice. It's well kept, well run, and well managed. We have different programs, and they have a game room where people can play cards and do other kinds of games. I enjoy bingo, and I go to the art classes. Sometimes we have music programs. We have a trip on the bus to the stores, to Wal-Mart and to Kroger and to other stores if people want to go. We go out to eat once a week with the group that wants to go eat. The lady who runs It has a master's degree and she is very good at what she does. For all the people who are having birthdays, we have a party for that. We have happy hour sometimes. We have breakfast, and we have lunch or dinner, whichever we choose. My son and my daughter picked this one out for me, and it's proven to be very good for everybody. They feel comfortable with me here and they're real close by, so that makes it easy.

I'm at The Remington at Valley Ranch. The rooms are spacious. It's a great place. The staff is very friendly, very professional, and very prompt with addressing any issues. I always go to dinner and a lot of pasta, but for the most part, they're pretty good. Housekeeping is great. Maintenance is great. No problem. There are a lot of activities, bingo, cards, games, TV night, and movie night. There's a van that takes residents to different venues for socializing. It's very important for elderly people like myself to socialize, not to stay isolated. They have plenty of activities to keep us active. The price is reasonable and good value.

The Remington at Valley Ranch is clean and well kept. The personnel are very attentive. The food is good. It's just a nice place to live. It's not home, but it's the next best thing. The staff is very attentive. The food is very nutritious. For lunch, we always have a soup and a salad, which is very good and then an entree of beef or chicken or pork or fish and a vegetable and starch and a very good dessert. It is well balanced and the portions are large. It's a very nutritional meal. It's kept up very well and very clean. Their cleaning crew is working every day. There's not a bit of trash or anything like that around. They publish a calendar every month listing all the activities. They have games and movies. We have a swimming pool and an exercise room. There's something to do almost every day. All the time you have entertainment. It's a good deal. The pricing is very good. It's worth it.

I live at The Remington at Valley Ranch. I feel safe. I feel very secure. They work very hard. Our administration supplies us with helpful people around here. The people are friendly, and I feel at home here. I appreciate all the workers here very, very much. They're very caring. They do everything they can to help you. There are things I don't care about the food, but it's healthy and they do the best they can with the menus. Sometimes, I would like a little bit more variety, but I don't have to cook and I don't have to wash dishes, so that makes me appreciate being able to enjoy just to sit down at the dining room. They give good service. The servers are very nice. The maintenance and housekeeping are good. There are things that have happened, like a pipe breaking or something since I've been here because it's an old building, but they quickly repair and get it back in order. There are games to be played and activities. Some weeks are not as busy as other weeks, but for the most part, we have plenty to do. They have a good library here. So, there are good books that we can check out. I think I get good value for my money.

I'm a resident of The Remington at Valley Ranch. I've been here eight years. I've had no complaints whatsoever. It met all the needs that I've had. I moved in with my husband, and he lived here two-and-a-half years before he passed away. We came here so that when one of us did pass away, we would not be moving other than maybe go into a smaller apartment and that we could stay and continue our life here. I had no complaints with anyone in the eight years that I have been here. I've gotten along with everyone. When my husband passed, they could not have been any nicer to me. They told me if I wanted to have dinner for my family here that I could have it in the cafeteria at the day that we had the funeral service. They said, "We will not provide the dinner but we'll provide a place for you to have it," which was fine. They went all out to help me when he passed away. I'm very satisfied with everyone here. The food is excellent. If there's something that I don't particularly like that day, I can go to an alternative menu and get something else. Maintenance and housekeeping are excellent. I can get help with things that I can no longer accomplish. There are enough activities for me and I feel safe here and I feel like I'm taken care of here. It meets my needs. I think this is the best place for me to be.

Everyone here at The Remington at Valley Ranch is very helpful. If you need help, you can get help and they're in contact with your family. The staff's work attitude is great. Everybody always seems to be happy here. They do a good job, considering that it's hard to cook for many different tastes and palates. Maintenance and housekeeping are excellent. Even though you're independent, sometimes it's not easy to make up your own bed or to change your sheets and if you have a problem if you're sick, they make sure you get your food to your room. They do a lot of little things like that that make it worth the five. I'm a Bridge player and we have a Bridge group that plays twice a week and that's fun. For the value for my money, I think I get more than I would anywhere else. The thing that really puts me at ease is that I write one check a month and that takes care of all my costs and that is a big deal to me. I don't have to worry about it.

I'm at The Remington at Valley Ranch. They're very attentive. The people who work here are very cooperative and friendly. They have what's called borrowed sisters here, and they're people who come in and help you do anything you need. My apartment is small, but lovely. The place is always immaculate. The food is outstanding, so I have no complaints whatsoever. The place has a lovely lobby. They're always there to help you. I wouldn't live here if it were any other way. They have games, classes, outings, and dances. They have everything you could imagine here. I feel like it's worth more than what I pay.

The Remington at Valley Ranch is a five because of the way they deal with us. They're very personal. They address our needs when we let them know what we need. We've been here five years, and I have never been disappointed. If I go to them with special needs, they will come back and take care of it as soon as they can. The food is very varied. It's not always the same thing. It's not always the same salad. It's not always the same entree. It's not always the same vegetables. It's something that's very important for older people like I am. I don't want to have to look at the same kind of meals every day. The upkeep is excellent. They have maids here that keep this place clean. They will come in, and if they see needs that are beyond what they do every time, they come back and they make it right. It's very, very clean. The halls are clean. The bathrooms are always very clean. We get a calendar once a month, probably with 30 activities that you can do. You will be busy if you are involved in all the activities from singing to doing crafts to playing cards. You name it, you can do it here and if you choose not to do it, that's your choice. We looked around and we decided the best value for our money is right here and I am not going anywhere. We have good parking facilities. I cannot find a place as good as this for the money that I spend. This is a good location for shopping. This is a good location for being close to my family because my family is from this part of Dallas.

There are other places I've been to that have a few more amenities, but The Remington at Valley Ranch is a very nice facility. The staff is very nice. The residents are very nice. The staff not only do they work very hard, they're very caring. They take care of us. Particularly when we have problems, they step in. For example, they move our walkers for us or some of us have difficulty opening milk cartons, they know that and they open the milk cartons immediately. They're very friendly. The food is overcooked and over seasoned. Sometimes some of the dishes are so salty, I can't eat them. The choices are a little uninspired. I like to have a small salad every day and they often do not serve small salads for the evening meal. We have menus posted for what the food will be during the day and almost every day says we're going to have a small salad and yet when we get there, it's not available. The facility is very nice and very clean. The cleaning staff works very hard. I'm very pleased with that. The paint looks pretty new, sharp, and clean. The halls were gray, and it would be nice if the different halls were painted different colors, like a yellow hall, a blue hall, pastel green, and so forth. They do crafts. They have a book club, which I was active in for a while. They have wonderful concerts. The Texas Winds comes once or twice a month, and they do a wonderful job. Then we have singers that come for happy hour on Wednesdays that are just great. I'm pretty happy with the activities. On Fridays, they take a busload of us to some restaurant for lunch, and I enjoy that. They have exercise class six days a week and I like that. The instructor is very good. We have a swimming pool, and they do water aerobics. I think I'm getting my value. I'm very happy with that. I don't begrudge the money I pay at all. One of the things I appreciate about this facility is I do have a kitchen. I enjoy that.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The place is kept clean. There's nothing dirty in this facility. The staff is very, very helpful. The meals are great. I have no complaint with it. sometimes I have special stuff that I want, and they give it for me. They have lots of activities here. People come in to sing. I get my money's worth.

I live at The Remington at Valley Ranch. I love it here. The food is pretty good most of the time. There's housekeeping and there are lots of people, and we play games. The staff and the residents are friendly. Maintenance and housekeeping are very good. They clean my room, they mow the grass, and they clean up the roadways. There's a patio you can sit in. It's just a very nice place to be. I played bingo this afternoon. I'm going to play Hand and Foot this evening. There's also swimming in the pool if you want. It is worth the money.

I like living here at The Remington at Valley Ranch. I like the people. They're very friendly and helpful. It's a nice place to live. Everybody is helpful, nice and friendly. The meals are very good, I only have breakfast and lunch or dinner, and they are very good. I am very pleased and satisfied with it. I had housekeeping today, and everything looks nice and clean like I expected it to be. I just came in from outside and I sat by the poolside and it was just wonderful and lovely weather. I go to chair aerobics. I go to exercise every morning. They have it six days a week, and they have the pool. We can go swimming in there anytime we want to. When the weather is nice, we can walk outside around the buildings. We have physical therapy if we needed. I go to that too sometimes two times a week. Value for money is very good.

I've only been here at The Remington at Valley Ranch short time, and everybody's been very friendly and helpful, and I like it here. The staff has been very, very good, professional, and friendly. The food, for the most part, is good. Maintenance housekeeping have been very good. All the workers are extremely good. I haven't participated in everything, but there are various ones that I have enjoyed. This morning, I did water aerobics in a nice heated pool. After that, I listened to a jazz quartet and that was extremely enjoyable. I am getting my money's worth.

I'm a resident here at The Remington at Valley Ranch. I just like everything about it. I like my room. I like the cafeteria. I like the people that run the place. The employees are all very friendly. I have a lot of friends here. They do a good job. Their meals are good, but I have a health issue with my stomach. I can't eat anything spicy, but they have a backup menu where you can order something other than just their regular cafeteria food, so it's sufficient. I have a housekeeper who comes every two weeks. Maintenance answers my calls when I need help. I have a really nice two-bedroom apartment. I'm happy with it. They have bingo, card games, puzzles, entertainment, movie night, and they have shopping trips, which I'm not able to go on, but they have a lot of people sign up for them. They have a lot of activities. They have a bus that takes you to your doctor's appointments if you need help. It's worth the money. They have a lot of things that are included in your rent. You have some meals, electricity is paid, the water is paid, and no tips. They do not allow you to give tips to any of their workers. It's excellent.

The Remington at Valley Ranch didn't have any standalone units. It's all in a building. The staff during the tour was a young man and he was fine and gracious. They were redoing the pool at that time. One of the residents was in the lobby and she said she spent five weeks without the pool or something like that. I took a tour of an apartment they had to show me and talked about some of the activities. The rooms were all pretty small. They didn't have independent villas and they didn't move you if you needed more care.

I went to tour The Remington at Valley Ranch. It was not as large a facility as the other place, but two years ago they did a complete remodel. They only offered a continental breakfast and one meal a day, so that was kind of a bummer for me. I met one staff member, and he was very outgoing and very knowledgeable. It was a good-looking facility, but it didn't click with me. I looked at two units. The one-bedroom seemed a little small, but it had an extra room. Other than the living room and bedroom, it also had a den. But the layout didn't work for me.

My friend's mother has moved into The Remington at Valley Ranch. It is very, very nice. It has just been renovated. It is comfy and cozy. The residents are very friendly, and the personnel are very, very friendly. I had a really good experience when I toured it. They do not really provide service because it's independent living. They come and clean the apartment, and they serve food in the dining area. I just said hi to the lady that takes care of serving the food, and she was very nice. I met the physiotherapist, the manager, two of the receptionists, and the handyman. Everyone was so nice. She likes the food. They have activities. We are not talking about one a day. We are talking about five, six, seven activities a day. They take them out for a walk every morning, if they want to. They have bingo. They had a lot of Christmas activities. They have a pianist that comes and plays for them. They have a church there. They have a little box, and you can just sign up when you want to do that. They will drive you to the doctor. You can even get a ride if you have family close by, but they said that usually the family comes and picks them up. They have arranged tours three times a week to the grocery store, where there is a staff member with them. They haven't renovated everything, but it will come.

The Remington at Valley Ranch is very nice and I like the services that they offer. I like that they have washers and dryers in the individual units, and it's not a community washer and dryer. It's also spacious, and it won't be as hard a transition for my mother. I was only able to meet the administrator, the dining area was very nice and it's set up like a formal dining which is really nice. They have a pool, people would come in to do Bible studies, they have card games and they have other activities like arts and crafts. They have quite a few activities for the residents.

I've been staying at The Remington at Valley Ranch for seven years. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't be here. We have country music, movies, games, and puzzles, and go out to eat early dinner or lunch. We have bingo, bridge, and farkle, and people come in and talk to us about various things either health-wise or on books or plays. If you want to, you could be busy all the time. My apartment has a small kitchen with a refrigerator, a stove, a sink, and a small closet to keep food and snacks. I have a large bedroom, combination of living room-dining area and an extra room where I have my books and my computer. There are two closets in the bedroom and one in the living room. I have a large bathroom with the shower with handles. In the bathroom, there is a washer and a dryer. The staff is absolutely fantastic and bend over backwards to try and make life pleasant for you. If you want anything to do or think everybody would like to do, you talk to the staff about it and they will try to arrange it. We're on the outskirts of Dallas, so there's a lot of stuff going on. They will take us any place we want to go. Also, the food is excellent.

I was impressed with the staff and the way the apartments were setup at the Remington. The food was really good. My in laws had a two bedroom apartment with a bathroom in each bedroom, it had a full service kitchen, a living room, and they had the option of going down to the dining room. They had two different kinds of church services, a card table, a pool table, and a swimming pool. They also did outings.

The Remigton is a lovely independent living, it's a great community and they have wonderful grounds. It's very clean and very well kept. I was really impressed with it. The people have been very helpful on the initial move in. I think the food is very good; they serve two meals a day, breakfast and lunch or dinner. They had great activities, they take you out to cultural activities, not only WalMart or the grocery stores on Fridays. They have church service on Sundays. Its in a great location in terms of doctors, shops and everything right in your fingertips.

I was driving and I spotted The Remington at Valley Ranch. I went inside for a visit. The staff who assisted me was really friendly. The place was pretty nice. I had no idea if they had activities but I saw there was what looked like a tennis court. I was not able to check the rooms. I saw the residents and they were a little older than me. They seemed friendly and talked to each other. My visit was really short. If someone asked me about this place, I would recommend it.
