I have been staying at Sundale Senior Living for two years now. It's a good facility. They have a good staff, not-so-good food, and a good activity area. The cleanliness is good. They have activities. Their eating facility is very inviting. Their gathering places are good. They have bingo and art classes.

The hallways at Sundale Senior Living seemed a little small. It was lunchtime and there was a lot of traffic from wheelchairs and walkers and stuff to the dining area. So it was kind of hard to get in and out, but the place was very pretty. It was in a very nice setting. The staff was really helpful, and understanding, and seemed like they cared about their residents. Because of the small hallways, it seemed like a hotel versus a residential feel, but everybody seemed to be quite happy there. It's in Huntsville so it is pretty close together. The studio apartment also seemed small and we're accustomed to living in a home with a lot more room. So, it's just shocking for an older person who's been living in a spacious home to be in a room where there's just basically a bed and maybe a recliner. They had lots of activities. They had birds and fish. It was nice. They had a calendar posted so everybody could see what was happening every day. There were certain things for them every day, like two things generally. I liked the facility.

Sundale Senior Living was beautifully laid out. They seemed to be very organized and very helpful. I didn't have to wait long. Nothing like that. The person who did the tour was thorough. She didn't rush but didn't dilly dally either. So, it was just right. She didn't waste my time by going too slow, but I didn't feel hurried or rushed or like I missed something. She was very nice and showed me everything I needed to see. The apartments had plenty of room for one elderly person and were pretty well laid out. Every space was utilized, but still didn't feel too crowded or anything like that. The dining area looked clean and it was pretty with flowers on the tables. It looked cheerful. Everything was pretty. The grounds were pretty. There wasn't any trash in the flowerbeds or any dried bushes.

We have chosen Sundale Senior Living for my mom. It has just worked in our parameters of what we needed for her. She is in level 1 assisted living. Some staff are more caring than others. But the facility is nice. It's newly remodeled and it doesn't smell. It's just nice. They have a hair salon, and somebody comes around and does nails, I think. My mom hasn't used that yet. They have a courtyard but no gym. They have a little outdoor covered area. My mom just moved in two weeks ago.

Larry Beltran was most helpful. I'm hoping my sister can be there but for now is in nursing home. My prayer is a better life for her and here I believe she would be happy.

I visited Lexington Center to check it out. It was phenomenal. It's an older building, but their staff, their food, activities, and everything they do, they do it excellently. However, it's a little too far. But the staff is excellent and absolutely amazing. They come into the room, and they help my friend's dad. He has a lot of health issues, and they will help him. They really go beyond just the normal job description. They help him get to the dining hall, and they encourage him. Her mom and dad were living at home. They were just overwhelmed, and so they had them moved to assisted living. Her dad has had cancer for about 12 years. He's doing good, and it's really given him a new lease on life being there. It really has because there's so many activities, and there's so much going on. They come down and they help him to breakfast, they come get him for lunch and for dinner, and they make it enjoyable. So that's been a huge part of that. They got him to move a lot more, to get involved a lot more, and he plays games. It's just beyond an incredible thing. I like their commitment to excellence, the activities, their commitment to getting people to participate in activities. And they don't go to the extreme. If you don't want to do it, they're not trying to make people do it. But they're encouraging it. So they're trying to make it the best experience possible.

The facility was a beautiful facility. The rooms were spacious and the views were nice. It was a newer building so the equipment and beds were still fairly new or hadn't been used at all. The only thing I wish was that the staff was more knowledgable but were they lacked in knowledge they made up for in customer service.

Upon first entering the Lexington Place facility, I was very impressed with the decor and cleanliness of the parlor area. There were several residents there visiting with each other and appeared very happy to see our group come in. Just off the parlor, to the right, is an elegant dining room that is also beautifully decorated and clean. On the left of the parlor is a game/visiting/community room that contains card tables and a variety of activities. The activity schedule board was completely filled with events ranging from Bible studies to day trips to shopping. I was able to visit a couple of residents in their rooms and was very impressed with the housekeeping staff. All of the residents that we encountered were very happy and seemed to enjoy their community. They all expressed how much they enjoyed the staff and the environment that Lexington Place provided and many stated that the staff had actually become their family. The actual care, concern and love from the staff towards the residents were what impressed me more than the decorations or the amenities provided or even the cleanliness. All of the staff that works at Lexington Place not only takes pride in their jobs, they take of the residents as if they were actually their own mother or father.
