I have moved into Elison Independent Living at Willowbrook. It's been great. The staff is wonderful. The food is really good. On Sunday, they have a brunch which is omelets and all that, which is wonderful. The staff, from the CEO all the way down, has been very personable and very helpful. Everybody is very kind. The maid service is once a week, and they're very kind and sweet. My room is a normal one-bedroom apartment, and that's really about it. It's got excellent AC in it. They have bingo, poker, water volleyball, and entertainment on Friday. It's pretty busy.

Two days after I got here at Elison Park Independent Living, I got a notification that they sold it to a different company and they didn't tell me that when I was negotiating to move here. So, I wasn't happy about that. All the services you got with your rent, you're not going to get them anymore when the new company's coming in. They're taking away all the meals, the company paying for all the electricity, and the transportation to doctor's appointments and to the stores. So, they took a lot of things away and a lot of the fringe benefits. Because they're doing that, there's a lot of angry people. Some people are going to move. Nobody's happy right now. The staff is kind of hiding because they don't want to have to deal with the residents because of the transfer of the facility. So, things are dicey right now. The facilities are good, though.

I've already moved into Elison Independent Living at Willowbrook. The main thing that I like is the activities that they have planned. It's like living on a cruise ship because you can pick and choose, and you don't have to do anything if you don't want to. Today, they have this social thing till about 3:00, but on a typical Friday they have a van that takes you to the grocery store and lunches. They have morning exercises, mix and mingle karaoke, men's poker club, movies pretty much every other night, Scrabble, billiards, mind aerobics, pet therapy, and crafts. I have a one-bedroom apartment and it is very big. There's one balcony per floor, and they have different courtyards. One courtyard faces a fountain. Another courtyard faces the pool, and another courtyard faces the koi pond, soeverybody has something to look at. The staff is wonderful. One of the kitchen staff has been here 25 years and the lady that cleans my apartment has been here for 23 years, so they're very dedicated to their jobs. They have a meal plan that you can get on, but I chose not to get on the meal plan because I cook for myself. They have Sunday brunches. I only went once to dinner and it was wonderful. They've got new entrees every night; they'll have a beverage, an entree, and dessert. It's really independent living, but there's an emergency buzzer that's monitored 24/7, and they'll come running up here and stay with you until the paramedics get here, which is very, very nice to know.

I visited Elison Independent Living at Willowbrook. The tour was fine, and I thought the place was nice. We liked the greenspaces, and that the room he would have gotten would have been down the hall from the dining room. It was a one-bedroom apartment with a small kitchen. There is a refrigerator, a small stove, and a dishwasher; pretty much everything but a microwave. The staff was nice, pretty informative, and concerned about my uncle and his memory issues. We did have breakfast there, and it was good.

We went to Elison Independent Living at Willowbrook. They offer meal service three times a day; we really liked that. They had an exercise room. The apartments open to the outside, which meant that when we had to do laundry, we had to go out of the apartment, go down the hallway, and on hot or severely hot or severely cold, that can be a drag. The food was really good. It was a very diverse menu. And what they didn't serve one day they would serve another day. And the residents have a say in what they want in the way of food recipes they want them to try. We had a delightful time eating there. But it was just, the people were older than us, ten, 15 years older than us. They offer daily activities, quite a full calendar, that sort of thing. The rooms were sizable, we really liked that. The carpet probably needed to be changed out. It's just an old apartment complex, and they're slowly redoing all the units. And I don't think they quite got to the unit we looked at. We loved the staff, they were wonderful. Candy was the sales person. They offer transportation to doctors. I wish they had a washer and dryer in the apartment, so you don't have to go out.

The staff at Elison Independent Living at Willowbrook was very nice and professional. They had a very nice dining area. It was clean. There was no smell. They had good activities. Some people were working on the computer, people doing artwork, and some people getting ready for bingo. The rooms were very adequate.

The tour I had of Elison Independent Living at Willowbrook was fine. Samantha gave me a full tour of the facility and she was very informative. It's close to transportation, with a bus stop right down the corner. They also provide transportation to appointments. I saw some residents doing some activities. I saw the dining hall and the laundry area. The place seemed well-kept and secured. They have their own staff security at night.

We chose Elison Independent Living at Willowbrook for my son. It's a wonderful place. It's equipped with everything. My son loved the food that was being served there. The staff answered all my questions and they're very nice, very polite, and very professional. We enjoyed talking to Jessica. She would call me back every time I called her, would answer all my questions, and was able to refer me to homecare for my son. She referred me to a couple of places that are going to help me. At this point, I'm very pleased with their service and with the area. It's going to be very close to me. They have a lot of activities. It's just that my son is blind, that's why I'm trying to find home care for him so that they can walk him around and show him the activities that are going to be there. They have a washing machine that you can wash and dry free without having to go to the washateria or bring the clothes home.

Elison Independent Living at Willowbrook was a nice place. It felt like it's comfortable to stay there. The room that I was shown us was nice and clean, and it's complete. It had a one-bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. We were satisfied with the appearance. The only thing that me and my sister talked about after we left is that the community fee is high. We're satisfied with the place though. The staff was fantastic. She showed us some food that they served when we were in the dining room. We had no problem with that. There were some activities, but it was already 3:00 or 4:00 when we got there. There were some few residents still outside, but we didn't see anybody in the dining area. The rest were just walking around. There were some people in the swimming pool. The staff was pleasant and nice to us, from the front desk to the person who guided us. It's not really a brand new facility. We only saw the model unit.

I've been to Elison Independent Living at Willowbrook for an in-person tour. It appears to be a very sociable environment with excellent visuals. It's really neat. When you walk around, there's no noise going on and there's no trash anywhere. It's very neatly cared for. The attendants are very friendly and very knowledgeable. The food is great too, it's outstanding. The dining area is large and it's comfortable. It's very neat there and the cooks are polite. They're also very quick in preparing your food. The apartment is somewhat what I expected. It's neat with just enough space and just what I wanted. It has a refrigerator and a stove. The community had a fitness room in the center of the community apartments.

My brother is in Elison Independent Living at Willowbrook. They have a restaurant type of cafeteria, and he has an apartment for himself and he's by himself. He has safety measures, but he doesn't need the daily care. For his situation, I felt that it was important not to put him in a situation where a lot of people were in really bad shape, lonely and otherwise. Everybody in that facility is independent supposedly. They have about 300 units. They're repairing it. It's an older unit. They're doing some things to fix it up, which is good. When there's something to be repaired, they jump on it real quick. The staff members were very responsive whenever I have called up or he has called up. He has a difficult time communicating, so he needs a little bit of patience. I think he's happy. I've asked him about the food and he said it's good. The portions are good and they allow them to take things into their room. They have breakfast and either lunch or dinner. I was impressed with the layout. It's kind of like an apartment as you move around. They have a large swimming pool in one area. It's a 300-unit apartment that's secure. They have several areas of lawn dedicated to one thing or another, so people can go to different areas and enjoy it. I think the layout is good. They told me that they would drive them out within a 15-mile radius at the person's request. A lot of the people there have their own cars and they're still driving. They take him out every week to go to a grocery store or a drugstore. There's a lot of activities in the building itself. They have study areas and recreation areas. There's a lot of renovation going on. He needs certain things to be taken care of, and I thought this was the ideal place. I see him with a big smile when I first got him and I went to see him the other day and he was coming down and he's dressed up. When I asked him, he said he's doing fine. The hospital is not far away and it's right next to what used to be an old mall.

We have been satisfied since our loved ones moved. They are happy. They were exposed to COVID by another resident and were notified by management. We appreciated the notification, but when we asked about meals being brought to their room, we were told there would be a charge. You would think they would want them to eat in their room so that they would not expose others. This is not right. They are on a tight budget and cannot afford the add’l cost.

It was a different kind of layout. The rooms open up into the courtyard. It's more like an apartment, and it's a much larger community. It was located in an area where there was a lot of apartments around. It's very big, and they had a lot of activities. I thought everything there required a lot of walking. Nothing was really, really close, so that was my concern. There was just a lot of walking, and it opens out into the courtyard depending on where your room was (either the courtyard or the street). Everything was covered, which was nice. We liked that one too. The staff was good and very helpful. It was definitely not in a residential area. Methodist hospital was a block away, but everything around it was apartments.

My mother moved in. The people are very friendly, both the residents and the staff, and they notice you which is a good sign. The food is very good, the living conditions are excellent, they keep the apartments clean, the grounds are clean, and it's a very professional facility. I'm very happy with it.

We're moving Dad in. Everything has been great. The amenities are very nice. It's within a five-mile radius to shopping and restaurants. It met all of our needs. They're helpful with working to get it into his budget. We've taken control of the apartment and we're starting to furnish it. The staff has been very helpful, friendly and responsive throughout the whole process. Part of his rent includes meals. We ate at their cafeteria, and it was good.

I'm a resident and I'm very happy here. I'm at the independent living level. Everybody is really nice and they have a lot of activities. They have exercise, movies, and all different things. The staff members are very nice, the dining area is nice, and the food is good. We go and have lunch at the tables and you get waited on. I think the rooms are very nice, clean, and big. The surroundings are very nice, you get to watch trees, see the rain, and it has all covered walkways. The place is nice.

My mom is happy here. Her room is very clean. The food is very good; I have eaten there before. They have exercise classes, jewelry-making, painting, and all kinds of card games. There are multiple activities per day. The staff members are helpful. They have lounges and common areas. They are all nice and nicely kept.

The staff was very helpful and gave us a nice tour. It really felt like dealing with someone who really cares. We had a good experience over there. The rooms were nice and the residents were just sitting around enjoying themselves in a recreation room.

My mother is here They have independent apartments but also services like a dining hall, personal services available for medicines, and other services as you need them. They serve breakfast and lunch and have a bistro that's open 12 hours a day. They also do meal service to your room. My mom has breakfast delivered to her every morning because she won't go out to the dining hall.

My mom likes the spaciousness of the apartment at this community, where she is currently living for the next four months. She likes the flexibility of the meal options, the variety of classes, and activities they have to offer for the residents. She also likes the transportation that they offer.

It is a very nice place. Their housekeeping service is excellent. Once a week, they come in the place, vacuum, and wipe everything in the bathroom, in the kitchen, and the floors, too. The rooms are spacious. The kitchen, the bedroom, bathroom, and the closet are nice. There is enough space for one person to be happy in there. The people were friendly, wonderful, and organized. Every day, they have something going on. They have a beautiful restaurant. My girlfriend lives right here. Sometimes we go to the restaurant, and it’s very nice. We’re very pleased to recommend this place to anybody that’s looking for senior living.

My parents have settled into the community now. We like the location, and they like the amenities. I think the room I got was like 300 sq. ft. The staff was very pleasant. The food is good. They have a restaurant and a bistro. They have exercise classes. They have activities every day. They have a shuttle that goes to the church. They have a weekly grocery, which they really like, shopping trips every day, and doctor's appointments once a week. There are different clubs that they can join. There is aqua aerobics. I think they feel safe there; it's very secure. They had an incident about a week ago, and someone responded within a minute. It was great.

It was beautifully laid out and peaceful. The staff was very accommodating. I had lunch there and that was good food. They had a variety of apartment sizes from small, medium and large. The place was nice, the people were nice, and I have a feeling I'd probably end up there.

My mom is here and she loves everybody there. She started getting respite care and she ended up asking to move into the facility permanently. The people were fabulous and they have been wonderful. The residents as well as the staff have been very helpful with mom. I haven't tried the food, but mom doesn't miss a meal so the food must be good.

Me and my husband has been here for two and a half months now and so far so good. We chose this place because it appealed to us and we can go outside anytime we want. The place is excellent. The staff are very accommodating. It's been really great and we enjoyed it here. We have access to all of the facilities and it's a very, very nice and enjoyable place to live. They have all kinds of activities. They got a pool room, a TV room, a library, a gym, and a community center where we can go to church, watch movies, and play games. We do water aerobics and just about anything you can think of. I think they need to add on more food because we get only very small portions and you don't get second serving. They have good food, but they just need to serve more of it.
