I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Wesley House Assisted Living-Hillsboro is a really nice place, and the staff is wonderful. We chose it for dad because the facility was really nice for the price and the care that he gets with it. The price for adding on more care is also very reasonable. Their food is very good. It's really clean and cheery. It has a good layout. They do a lot of really fun things and they keep a great communication with the family members.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

We moved my mother into Wesley House Assisted Living in Hillsboro where we grew up as a kid. I like it and she seems to like it as well. So far, we've been happy with their service and everything that they're doing for her. She likes the meals. At first, she was kind of acting like she preferred the other meals that she was getting at the other place but she's kind of settled in. It's just different cooking but she likes it. I think she's getting all she needs to eat, for sure. They have almost every activity I know. They do a lot of ice cream socials and a lot of little get-togethers. They do bingo and other activities or games. It seems like she's getting plenty of social activity. I like her room and she likes it as well.

I visited this facility

The Legends At Hillsboro was not nice at all. It was right off of Interstate Highway 35. They didn't have anyone there to show me a room. They had to take a nurse to show me the room, and he didn't have all the information I needed. The court in between the backdoors of the living facility had dead grass overgrown on the sidewalk, and dead rose bushes. It was awful, and not kept up. The place was not very clean. The furniture was not cozy. It was not a cozy homey atmosphere like the other place was.

I visited this facility

We went to check out The Legends At Hillsboro assisted living facility as an option for my brother's friend. The yards and outer regions included many nice areas to enjoy, with well manicured lawns and lovely trees. The interior design looked easy to navigate, clean and nicely decorated. The rooms included good colors, nice furniture, fresh air and light and good views. The residents have access to a variety of healthy, home-style cooked meals. The restaurant setting and food made it seem like an upscale cafe. The dining rooms all had comfortable furniture in a nice decor. Snacks were offered throughout the day and when residents request them. The fitness equipment was easy to access and residents are encouraged to exercise daily. They can also safely navigate the lovely garden courtyards and pathways. The center also includes yoga and aerobics exercise classes. The calendar of events included many stimulating activities to enjoy all that the region has to offer. Residents are treated to trips around the area for nature walks, culture, parties, fairs and festivals on a year round basis. Each private room had a pleasant view of surrounding areas. Each was nicely designed and decorated tastefully with lots of light and air. Bathrooms were safely designed and a nice size. The residents all looked well cared for seemed to really enjoy living in this environment. We would recommend that anyone searching for a place located in the vicinity for their loved one check it out.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

We have other acquaintances or friends who have used the facility in past. We've looked into it for quite a while and it's just the place for her because it's close enough for all of us, her five daughters, to keep an eye on her. Proximity was a good thing but the main reason we chose the place is its cleanliness. The general service that they offer to the people there is really good and she's been there for months now. They keep her busy by doing things with her everyday. They keep all of the people there involved or something. Whether it's spelling bees, dominoes, games, exercises, church service or whatever. The activities keep my mom occupied and her mind mentally active. We also help her with cleaning of the room and the little laundromat is just located across the hall. It's good that everything is accessible. The food is very good. I would definitely recommend this facility. We don't have any problems with any of the workers and we've just been really pleased with them so far.
