I was in Greenville Gardens for about 2 to 3 months. The staff was excellent, the food was excellent, and the activities were great. We'd go out and look at Christmas lights, they had picnics, you could go fishing, and you could name your own activities if you wanted to. It was clean and very well kept.

I don't recommend Park Haven Nursing Center at all. It was a behind-locked-doors for Alzheimer's thing. I didn't think my dad needed that, and he didn't like it. They had nothing but problems with him. He did go outside, and they did not let him over there. It was awful, so my sisters took him out and put him in another one. The staff, to me, was OK, except there's a few of them who weren't really friendly. When I would call to talk to him, they acted like it was a bother for them to get him to come to the phone. He was over the nursing home. He didn't have any activities there. They put him in a room with another man who did not speak any English, and all he wanted to do was watch Spanish on TV. My dad didn't want to do that. We asked if they could move him, and they said no. All his clothes disappeared. They never found anything, even his picture of his wife, my mother. They need someone to go in and check everything.
