My grandmother has been in Grandview Nursing Home for five months now for rehab. They have a great rehab, really good and caring people, and a doctor who comes every Friday and checks on everyone. The director is very good. They have a big bird cage in the lobby, a lot of activity centers, and several churches come on a rotating basis for church service and singing. She loves that. They have three or four meals a day, different snacks, and a lot of activities going on during the day.

Grandview Nursing Home is very nice and very family oriented/feeling. The only problem is they only offer semiprivate rooms. They don't have any private, which is a problem if you have someone that doesn't want to share. They had a really good rehab facility. The staff who accommodated me was very helpful and knowledgeable, and I would rate her quite high. They have a number of activities, and they encourage the residents to interact with each other. The only problem is that they're not really set up for memory care because they don't lock their doors. They have no type of security for that. They're very pricey too. They were one of the most expensive ones, which I thought was kind of unusual because they only offered semiprivate and didn't have a lockdown facility; that was kind of strange that they would be so expensive. It's older, but it has a very homey feeling.

My mother was at Grandview Nursing Home. We like it as far as how they operate gpes. The food was excellent. There wasn't anything we didn't like there except the travel. My mom had been there for a while. Grandview Nursing Home is an older facility. Their rooms were OK. They were old inside, but they fixed things regularly when needed. They were kept clean. As far as the grounds, from the front, there was not a whole lot. As for activities, they had pretty much the same as the other facility. They had bingo, Wii games, crafts, movies, and outings every now and then.
