I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My grandaddy spent 15 days in this facility. Less than 24 hours after being transferred out of this facility he was put in ICU for severe malnutrition, dehydration, pneumonia and a life threatening urinary tract infection. On January 11th my grandaddy was transferred from Granbury hospital to Granbury Rehab in Nursing after breaking his hip 5 days prior. Before arriving he was eating, drinking and walking during physical therapy. Within days of arriving at the Granbury Rehab we noticed a major decline in his health. He was unable to open his eyes, sit up or even eat or drink due to being heavily medicated with OxyContin and Valium. The level of neglect at this hospital is appalling. Due to staffing the residents are left for days without proper care. Their basic needs are not being met. The only time my grandaddy would have access to water is when we provided it to him. He tested positive for Covid 5 days after arriving and was placed in a covid hall. The conditions of this hall were unimaginable. Trash and laundry left all over the halls, the smell of cigarettes even when wearing an N95 mask and only 1-2 employees to care for 20-30 patients. There was a large bucket of what looked like urine just sitting in a hallway. It was disgusting. They are not checking vitals regularly and these are elderly patients with covid!!! When my grandaddy arrived at the new facility his O2 was 76%!! And they never had him on oxygen. If you are considering this facility please reach out to me!! I have no idea how they are still operating. This place is so poorly ran. My heart breaks for the patients there. My grandaddy is currently in ICU fighting for his life because of the neglect from this facility.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother is at Granbury Villa Nursing Center. She went there for rehab to try to get some physical therapy to get stronger, but I don't know how much they're working with her. I know she is getting three meals a day and they're getting her, her pills. The staff members seem very professional and very helpful. They answer my questions and they talk like they're working with her. Her room is just a shared room. She said that they played bingo a couple of times, and there's a little library. We have only been visiting at the window. I talked to the staff, and they seemed nice. She fell twice, and they called me and told me she was OK. The price was high, but I think they're doing really well.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I called yesterday to see what was going on with my dad .. he has been calling me every day crying wanting us to come get him .. all I was trying to do was find out what was going on there .. ( which I am his daughter ) but the staff didn’t care about that . The staff members treated me very disrespectful and mean and rude to me in every way they could be .. I am very heartbroken.. so sorry my sister would put them in a place like this one !!

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother was a resident there for a little over a year. The nurses and aides were always very kind and caring. If mother didn't like her food they would bring her a fruit plate or whatever she wanted. I couldn't have asked for better care for mother.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This is not a horrible facility but not a good one either . Staff is friendly but there is one aide for 20 something ppl . That is clearly not enough. There are issues that dont get resolved . They dont provide adequate supplies like butt paste and wipes they use some crappy theraworks that didnt help my dad at all I had to supply my own . The administrator wont listen to anything or anybody .What he says is the way it's going to be . the administrator Kevin Wilmeth said they have a contract with theraworks . So they want the residents to suffer over a contract .??? He lacks caring for the residents He's all about the money . , I think he is in the wrong job field . Extremely HORRIBLE management . DON AND ADON are just as bad . The food is HORRIBLE because most of it is fried and packed full of calories and very little nutrition. Fried food is not good for anyone little lone residents that get very little excercise . Iwould NOT recommend.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My dad was a resident of Granbury Villa. They didn't have enough staff, their food sucked, and their responsiveness sucked. Everything about that place is not OK. His room was OK, but he was at the end of a hall by himself. And since he's a memory care patient, he did not get any care. They're supposed to handle memory care patients, but they're not equipped to do that because they don't have enough staff members. They have beds for 80 people, in one wing they have people for memory care, and they have two aides for 20 people, so it's not good.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I've got my relative placed in a nursing home called Granbury Villa. It is close to my house. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are OK and clean. I have seen the food, and it all looks good. The dining room is very nice. They have exercise, bingo, card games, ring tosses, bible study, movies, parlor games, stretching, and trivia.

Visited this facility

It is a very wonderful facility. Everyone there is very nice. There are no strange odours because the staff is very attentive. There is an activity director who makes it her business to make sure that people are entertained.
