My brother is currently at Graham Oaks. We're only planning for a few months because we want him to be able to walk again normally; he's in rehab there. I have talked to him since he's moved into the facility and he hasn't told me anything negative. He just told me he's working on the rehab so we can get him out when we can. He has his own room and he hasn't had any complaints about it. He hasn't say anything bad about the food too. We looked into the menu and it's pretty good. So far, I've talked the director, she has been very helpful. I'm in Hawaii and my brother is in Texas. I call her directly and she helps out. The staff, when I call them, they seem pretty knowledgeable, nice, and people oriented. My brother really has no negative things to say and he usually is pretty outspoken when it comes to things like that, but he hasn't really said very much. The concerns that we've had so far were very minimal and they helped out and got it out of the way to make sure my brother was OK and to make sure that I can communicate with him, because sometimes he doesn't answer the phone correctly, so they send people down there to make sure he's OK. The building, the part that I got to see going into admin area, it seemed fairly clean. It looks very professional.

My mother was in this facility for about four months recently, and the staff was absolutely horrid. They would tell her they'd empty/change her colostomy bag, but wouldn't return for hours. This would cause it to overflow into other wounds which caused and infection and sent her to the hospital. She said the food was all right, but by my own experience (and hers) the staff was rude. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
