My tour of Village on the Park - Friendswood was fine. It was very nice. It was a nice happy medium between the other two that I saw because it was more affordable than the first one. It looked safe and clean, and everything looked nice. I like that you can get to every room in every area inside the building. Even facing the street, they had a nice lawn and landscaping. And the people were nice and friendly. One of the residents stopped me, 'Oh, this is a wonderful place.' And they had a welcoming committee for new residents so I liked that. It was encouraging to see that the residents seemed to enjoy it there and they seemed to take care of each other. The staff seemed nice. It seemed affordable for what you're getting there.

The amenities at Village on the Park-Friendswood could be better. They didn't have microwave ovens and they had very small refrigerators. The amenities aren't quite what they could be. The staff who toured me was good. The facility was a beautiful setting. It was more residential. It wasn't so congested. It was gorgeous. They just didn't have everything they could have had.

Village on the Park - Friendswood was homey. We thought it was very nice. The atmosphere was very nice. It's really good. The apartments were nice too. The staff seemed very good. The thing with it is that, at the other place, you could get your deposit back if you decided not to move in, but at the Village on the Park, if you give a deposit down and you didn't move in, you're likely to lose your deposit. Still, everything looked nice. They have activities. They have games, entertainment and stuff like that.

Everybody at Village on the Park - Friendswood was very friendly and knowledgeable on everything. They had a good view, if you spend a lot of time looking outside. They had book clubs, bingo, and different other things they could do. They showed me a single bedroom, and it seemed roomy. They didn't have any furniture though. When you don't have furniture in a room, it's kind of hard to see how your stuff is going to fit in them. They had an exercise room. On that day, they were doing dances.

I went to look at the Village on the Park - Friendswood. The staff members were nice and really friendly. The people we met were nice. The rooms were OK. The room that I wanted was not available, but this would be a place of high consideration. The dining area was restaurant style. The grounds were nice with walking paths. They had some kind of covered parking. They had an ice cream parlor. They offered free transportation to doctor's visits and things like that within a five-mile radius. They had vehicles that could take you to different places (some for individuals, and some for groups). The laundry room was free. They do your personal laundry for you. They had maintenance service available 24/7. The rooms would be cleaned once a week.

The Village is too expensive for me, but I had a lovely visit with Nora Connor, and she was very helpful with me. I left the Village feeling good about myself and how I had been respected. Margaret Gloger

My brother loves Village on the Park - Friendswood. They're very nice. I can't say enough good about them. The whole tour was good. The staff is very friendly and caring from the top positions all the way through every position (even the dining hall and the maintenance). All the residents seem to be very happy, and they will tell you that they're very happy to be here. Many residents have been here for many years, and the staff has been here for a while as well. They have enjoyable activities. My loved one is very active. He goes where he needs to go and needs to do. The driver is very friendly. if he needs to go somewhere, the driver will take him. I can't think of anything negative to say.

I was visiting an uncle that lived at Village on the Park - Friendswood. We liked having meals together. Except in the midst of COVID, they welcomed visitors. I would enjoy going in and having dinner and breakfast sometimes on the weekends with him. They're all one story. He lived on the very end of a wing and we would visit on his patio. The apartments were indoors. They did not have a breakfast area in the apartment though. They take a van to different places and different stores. They offer dominoes, bingo, movies, and happy hours. They offered a lot. The staff was great. I feel like they took their time to get to know my uncle and my aunt. When my uncle turned 90, we bought a birthday cake and gave him a small party, and the lady that worked in the front that managed the place came and sat down and ate cake with us. She made an effort to get to know him. They just didn't keep the same cook and there were times we'd go and the food wouldn't be as good.

It was excellent. They showed me a one-bedroom and it was good; they were spacious and clean. They had a laundry room, they had some open areas outside, and there was a dining room where they eat. They also have a special dining room for when family visits. It's pretty quiet and peaceful there. They have outdoor areas and you can walk outside.

In the course of helping my parents as they have aged, we have had numerous experiences at different places and I can honestly say I think this community is as good as it gets! I believe it all comes down to the people who work there and how they treat their residents. Here everyone is treated with dignity and respect and they truly care and love on their residents. The food is great and there is a wide range of activities available and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Its also close and convenient to doctors, labs, hospitals, etc. No place if perfect but this place is close and I highly recommend it!

We were very pleased here. It had a lot of activities for the residents. The physical layout itself was very pleasant and well decorated. It had a nice dining room that was very accommodating to the residents. The place allowed the residents to live as independently as they could.

We visited here for my ex-husband. The place was really nice, good, and wonderful. Out of the places we visited, he said that's where he wants to go. The staff members were great, walked us through, and showed us different things.

It was very convenient, and it seemed like the best match for mom. It was self-contained and very secured, she can come and go whenever she wants, and they have a lot of live music.

The staff was very friendly here. I saw them interact with the residents, and they were very active. It was very clean, and it smelled good. It was a very beautiful place. They showed me two rooms. The shared room was very spacious, very nice, and very clean. The single room was also very spacious with a full bath. The colors were bright. They had bingo.

It is about 5 minutes from my house. The staff is very good. It is an independent living facility, but they do have a dining room and people that work there. They also have the front desk people and a social director, and they are all very good. They just remodeled the dining room, and it is very nice. They have waiters who bring the food to your table. As far as the apartment, it is a little small, and my mother lives in a 2,500-square foot home, so this 600-squre feet space seems small but it is adequate. They have activities like bingo, trips, entertainers, ice cream socials, and parties. I think they can improve on communication. Because it is an independent living place, it is not as secure as some places, but my mother is OK because she's not wandering around. They do have someone at the front desk 24 hours a day. So, that works out OK.

My grandmother moved in here in March. My mother chose it because she was starting to come down with Alzheimer's. They have a game room and a salon, where you can get your hair done. They have movies. They have three meals a day but you can also have food inside your own apartment. The dining room is nice. My grandmother has a one-bedroom-one-bathroom. It has a little kitchen area, a living room, and a bedroom with a full bathroom. The staff is very nice. Apparently, my mom's relationship with the caretakers who are around is really good because with any problems, they will call her and communicate well with her and let her know what's going on. Overall, Village on the Park is a really nice community. If my mother would have to live there, I would put her there. Also my grandmother has a couple of friends there. The ones she grew up with just so happen to be there too, so she is not alone.
