My mother was in hospice at Flower mound Assisted Living and passed away a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to thank you for the outstanding care and kindness show to our family. I highly recommend the facility. The place was clean and staffed by very friendly and helpful people. I was so pleased my mother was fortunate to be in a place of such superlative quality. Even the director spend time with us during this difficult time. The staff made sure we were comfortable and cared for in addition to my mother. As an RN and a Paramedic I went into countless facilities and am qualified to to tell you this is an excellent facility. One of the best.

We toured the Flower Mound Assisted Living Community. They didn't have memory care there. The place that showed us the patio is open to an outside parking lot, and any stranger could come to that parking lot and have access to my mother's room. I don't like that. I thought it was dark. It's older, but the staff and everybody is very nice and pleasant. The facility was clean, but it's older and dark. They need to be lighter.

I looked at Flower Mound Assisted Living Community and the woman that helped me was very nice. The place was fine, but the room was really tiny. They had a nice little patio out back. The building is older and not as visually appealing, but the staff was really good. So there were good things about it, but they're not a bright, shiny new facility. In terms of the grounds it didn't have much. It was basically a parking lot and that's a drawback. If my mother were to be on the patio she'd look out into the street, whereas in her current community she looks out into a courtyard with flowers and things. The location is also not that great.

My Father-in-law, Jack, passed recently but was a resident at FMAL and the place is very clean and if we could give the staff 10 stars we would. Priscilla, Nicco, Mark, Janie, Nita, Sandy, Saada and Miriam and the whole staff treated him excellent and believe me he was a handful. We can not thank them enough for the care, compassion and going above and beyond. The communication was unreal and they treated us like family.

Flower Mound Assisted Living offers many onsite amenities, and a busy activity schedule. It's a unique facility that has input from many community groups such as regular visits from local churches, Girl Scouts, and local high school students. My mother was a resident at Flower Mound Assisted Living for over two years. The staff always treated her with respect and love. Everyone there was responsive not only to her needs but us as a family. Being a small facility, we felt the care my mother received was personal and loving. When my mother passed we felt the staff grieved along with us. I highly recommend Flower Mound Assisted Living. Herb - son of Sarah

Flower Mound Assisted Living was the first place we looked at. It was updated, but I didn’t really like the layout. You walk in the door, and there was the dining room. We thought the rooms were dark -- small and dark. We didn’t like it because it just seemed dark. There was one little window, and it was an older building, so the window was not big. All the rooms just had one window, unless you had a terrace or a little outside balcony, then you got a window and a door; otherwise, you just get a window. And the rooms were really small. They have the activity room, and there were people in the activity room when we were there. They have a bird aviary; they call it an aviary, but it’s a big bird cage with little parakeets in it. And I was interested in it because my mom likes birds and nature; that’s why we like the windows. We did see staff walking around, and they have a raised garden for the residents. It just wasn’t for us.

We chose Flower Mound for my mother-in-law because it's very close to home and because of the quality of care that they give. The staff is very good. They have a very low turnover, and they have been there for a very long time. They're very conscientious. They call us with any little concerns or issues that they have, and we're very happy. She has a private room, which is good sized, and they keep it clean. She has an access to an outdoor patio. We have eaten there, and it was very good. They do a lot of memory care, a lot of music programs, and movie night, and what we particularly like, she used to be an English teacher at a high school, and they are right next door to a high school. They have a lot of volunteer programs where the young people come in and work with them and do projects with them. She just loves it when they're there.

We choose Flower Mound for my mother because they have a better staff to patient ratio and because the patients there are very alert. They also bring them out of their room to do the activities. They love bingo and happy hour. The food is OK. They do have better salads than most places. The salads are fresh, and they always offer a chef salad. It is a very good active community where the people that work there know the patients so well, and they all get along very well. The staff works together, and it's a more mature staff. The aides are older, and they have been there for a long time.

I am in Flower Mound Assisted. It is good. Let me put it this way: if you have to be in one of these places, this is a nice place to be. First when I moved in, I was not very happy about it -- you know, giving up my own home and freedom and stuff like that -- but this is good. I have a much larger apartment because I have a long-term care. I have two large rooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchenette. The activities can be a little better. They play bingo twice a week. They have movies Friday and Monday nights. On Thursday afternoon, they either go to grocery stores or dollar tree. They provide meals, and I have to say that the first 7 months I was here, it was not very good, but we have a new chef, and he has changed it a lot. So, the food is good now. I visited others, but I am impressed with this one because it is not so large, which I guess is one of the reasons why we don't have more activities. It is kind of a one-on-one care facility.

My mom has been a resident for almost three years. She's gone from being very independent to needing a significant amount of help. The staff has been great with responding to her increased need for care. She feels this is her home and family. We are grateful for their compassion.

This facility is not equipped with enough staff to support their residents. I observed a client who needed mealtime assistance wait for 30 minutes before someone could feed him. And their activity calendar is inaccurate. If volunteers dont show to lead certain activities, it doesnt happen. Keep your loved one out of here!

My mom is a resident at FMAL, and she says she is very happy there. She like the food. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The facility is clean, and each month it is decorated with a different theme. There are many activities, and mothers enjoys many of them. She is 88 years old and uses a walker. She has a huge walk in closet and large bath where she can roll in her walker or wheelchair. The staff cleans her room, changes her sheets, washes her clothes, towels and sheets, there's a nurse on staff during the day and on call during the night. Mom has an alert necklace she wears for emergencies. I'm very pleased that we found this new home for mother. She moved from east Texas after 60+ years in her home.

The people at Flower Mound Assisted Living were very, very nice to me. They gave me a complete tour, they showed me several suites that I can look at. But the prices are just so high. I don't have that kind of money. I do have a long-term care insurance which would have covered everything, but I have to qualify for it. I'm not there yet.

The outside of the facility is well maintained, and very presentable by the standards of the city of Flower Mound. When you walk in (during Christmas) the center is very clean and decorated to reflect christmas cheer. This dining are is directly to the left of the lobby when you walk in. It has nice family style tables vs. cafeteria style, to promote croup activity. The staff is very friendly and attentitive to the seniors. They are also very nice accomodating and appreciative of us comming to spend time with them. I do think the facility is a bit old hovever, they have a rather run down looking large "extra/formal" dining room area where we set up for caroling, and directly behind is the kitchen open to view from anyone who walks bye. I did not get to see the inside of any of the rooms, we were there for only an hour and the privacy of the residents was important to us. I would overall rate this as a very good homey feeling which promotes activity, and really cares about its residents. I would reccomend them.
