I liked everything about Brookdale Farmers Branch. They were very friendly. To me, they did a good job with my sister. The cleanliness was good. Everything seemed to be taken care of pretty well. Her apartment was nice. I liked it very much and she liked it, too. The food looked good. They had a nice area to sit outside. The dining area was spacious. They also had a nice area for the residents to sit down and watch something on TV together as a group, for those who wanted to watch. The times that I was over there, it always seemed to be very clean. The value for the money seemed to be pretty good to me. My sister wasn't there long, but for the time she was there, it was done well.

I toured Brookdale Farmers Branch. I had a very good director who walked me through, showed me everything, and answered all my questions. At that time, it looked like it would fit my mom's needs because you could rent monthly, which I thought was a good idea. It wasn't on the high end of cost, nor the low-end cost. It was kind of middle range, which met my needs. It wasn't a really large place. It was a smaller group of people and I liked the arrangement. The physical arrangement was built in a kind of a large square and the inside area was open. They had activities and they had a bus, so they could take people out. It was quite close to where she currently lives. So I thought it would be easily accessible by other friends and family who wanted to come and visit her. The staff was great.

Brookdale Farmers Branch was a little larger than the other facility. I didn't find anything that I did not like. The person with whom we dealt was very nice and informative. The facility was clean. The room seemed to be adequate for what anybody would need. They have transportation. The staff seemed very attentive. If anything happened, I would feel very comfortable if they were able to get my parents the care that they would need. The staff members were very friendly, personable, easy to talk with, seemed to enjoy what they did, and cared about the residents there.

Brookdale Farmers Branch was older but well kept up. The staff members were very nice. It was just not a good fit for my dad. They had an enclosed courtyard area. The middle part was like an enclosed grassy area, which was enticing because my dad has a dog. The activities coordinator person was very eager to find out what my dad was into, almost in an annoying sort of way. Their rooms seemed more like a nursing home than senior assisted living. Many of the rooms had hospital beds in them. They called it a kitchenette, but it was basically like a dorm-sized room with a refrigerator and a microwave.

Brookdale Farmers Branch would pay for everything. They pay for the utilities. they feed you three times a day, and they have a ton of activities. I got a chance to mingle with some of the residents and they're just very nice over there. The staff asked my opinion constantly throughout the tour about what I thought of the place and if I could think of anything that would make it a better place for seniors. Everybody was just very, very friendly, and I think those are the right people for me to be around. They let me come in to have meals with them. As a matter of fact, I think I've been to lunch almost every day this past week, and the food was delicious. The building itself was very clean.

My mother moved into Brookdale Farmers Branch. I think they're very caring, and everyone there is really nice to her. It's fine, very good, they keep it clean, and the food is healthy. The food is good, they use a special diet for older people, it's calorie dense, low sodium, low sugar, and I think it's pretty healthy. It's an older facility, it's functional, nice, but not the newest place.

I visited Brookdale Farmers Branch. I liked the community and the food was good. The only difference between them and the place we chose was that the other one was considerably less expensive. The layout is shaped in a circle, with a courtyard in the middle. It's very nice, and they have a very attractive dining room. The rooms are a nice size. I like them and thought their price was pretty good. Their staff was very nice.

My friend has been at Brookdale Farmers Branch for about two weeks and he's doing extremely well. We're very impressed with the folks at Brookdale. They do a really good job at combining retirement with just a little bit of extra assisted living that some of the patients need. It's nice that they have a nurse on staff all day, and the nursing staff is very good. I haven't seen a weak element there. The housekeeping is outstanding and the management is incredibly good. The young ladies that run the front desk are very professional and they do a good job at greeting all the guests who come in. The have the reception set up so people don't just wander in and out of there without somebody knowing about it. We've been very pleased with the food service program. They help and support each other. They give you a lot of food options, and it's more like eating in a restaurant every day. The general manager is outstanding and one of the best I've seen in that field. One big advantage is they're a little bit smaller than some of the other places. Its an older facility, but its been maintained well and the upkeep has been good. The rooms are a little bit smaller. My friend is in a studio and it could be a tad larger. They have church service, which is very nice, and most of my friend's socialization is at lunch and dinner. Compared to a lot of other places, it's reasonable for the quality of care.

I am a current resident of Brookdale Farmers Branch. I am not a senior but I am a stroke victim. I have been treated very well however I must commend the Executive Director Mr. Redmon for his compassion, kindness and care for and of everyone who lives here. He knows all our names and is very good to us. I recommend this place to everyone I know.

Brookdale Farmers Branch was wonderful. I liked everything about it. There were activities going on while I was there (like Bingo) and they had lots of amenities. They also had transportation to the grocery store and outings. The staff was wonderful. The room that I saw was a studio type, but it was quite large, bright, and airy. I loved it.

We chose Brookdale Farmers Branch (Formerly Emeritus at Farmers Branch) for my mother-in-law. It is in our neighorhood, and they are very friendly, very welcoming, and very professional. The rooms are sufficient for her needs. My husband ate there, and he said it was fine. They do Wii Fit, Wii Bowling, go out on day trips, and go to the Farmers Branch Senior Center and to local stores. They have interactive games like cards, Bridge, and Rummikub, so it's a very active place, plus they also have tournaments with their other Brookdale facilities. I just like the staff and convenience, so we could get to her quickly.

Emeritus at Farmers Branch was pretty nice, but it wasn't what we were looking for. It is a place that I would consider to put my mother if I needed to. The only thing I will be concerned about -- and they were concerned about it too -- was because all their residents speak English and my mother doesn't speak English, so they were worried about her feeling isolated because of the language barrier, but he was honest with me and told me all this. The place was really clean as far as I could see; it was a really nice place. The staff was really good, and I am happy with the way they treated our case; they gave us the time and explained to us all the things and help us to even get something that we didn't have at that moment. So they were really helpful, and we were really pleased with them.

I liked Brookdale, but my mother has very limited funds, and they did not have anything that would help her. It was something local that I looked at. It did not have the financial assistance that she needed, it was not available there, and it was not her hometown.

Brookdale Farmers Branch was a beautiful facility. It was very pleasant inside, and the decorations were nice. It was not crowded, and it was very clean. The rooms were very nice and lovely. The staff was very fantastic, and they have different activities. The food was very good, and they have different choices to pick from. The dining area was very nice, and it was very bright. The waiters were wonderful.

We moved Mom at Emeritus at Farmers Branch. We chose this facility because of the price, and they take Medicaid when she runs out of money. They will keep her and help her file all the paperwork and get ready for that. Everything has been just right so far. The staff were very friendly. The apartment that she has is great. They offered lots of things for her to do. So far, Mom is very pleased with the food, and she loves her stay there. I had a few issues with getting her medication on time, but I think that is going to be worked out, as she has just been there for a couple of weeks.

I just thought that Emeritus needs to be updated because it might be hard when your parents have a nice home to move them into a place that's not so nice. Regarding staff, they only have one person at the time we visited but she was very helpful. Emeritus at Farmers Branch actually used to be a hotel. So that was another thing. Their rooms were like hotel rooms where you have one room with a bathroom to the side. So if you can picture a hotel room in your mind wherein you have a kitchen, a den, and a bedroom all within that rectangle. It was just a difficulty configuration.

Philip Is Awesome. He Was Born To Care For The Aging. Phillip is such a kind loving person towards all of the residents. I can see how all of the residents adore him. I can also see that all of the employees seem to think highly of him. He has been so kind and loving to Margaret, and she adores him. He may be the Executive Director, but I have seen him vaccuming the hallway, and being hand ons with all of the residents; and helping his employees. Everyone who works at Emeritus Farmers Branch are kind and loving people. So James, Phyllis and Laura want to say Thank You. I am going to post this on a few sites because people need to know what a great place Emeritus Of FB is. Kudos to everyone.

My mom was a previous resident of this facility. I felt like it was a good experience. Sometimes her room would be dirty. I'd clean it. Afterward I'd think why did I have to clean her room when we pay all this money to have it maintained. It seemed that my mother was always laying down when my sister and I went to visit. We ultimately decided that it was easier to bring her home. She seemed to be ending up in the hospital more while she was under their care. Not to mention that the cost was sucking up her retirement.. fast!

When I first walked in it was real nice and clean. I was greeted right away by the staff. The had a wonderful outside area and the rooms were a nice size. There was a nice area for the family to go when the visit and it was pretty full at the time. I liked this place because it was worm and the staff were caring and will to help. The one thing I did not like about it was the lack of activity's the had. I think that they could have a little more to do then just cards, bingo and TV. They could have a dance night or even let them cook something easy but fun. They could also have a night were they can go out to Black Eyed Pea or Apple Bees just to get out and do something new. Over all It is a great place and I would help out again anytime.

Village Oaks is laid out in a square, with 4 halls, one for each side of the square. One of the halls is a secure dementia care unit. Each room is a companion room. Staff ratio here is better than in main section, and staff has some training in dementia care.
