My mother was at Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte. Her room was in good condition. There's always a food problem though. She didn't like the food. They offer help, but you have to pay for it like to have her bathed. She was only there for four or five months. She was independent. She used to go to the dining area and then come back. She didn't need much help. I didn't have much anything to do with the staff, but they did little activities with the clients. They had their little exercise, but she didn't participate in that. The dining area was OK. I didn't like the way they served the food. You would get there and maybe half an hour later was when you get the actual food. If you sat in a certain area, you have to wait to get your food. The dining area was spacious. We got her the double room. She had a little living area plus a bedroom. It's nice because she had two rooms and a little kitchen area. It didn't have a stove. You put your little coffee pot and your microwave and it had a refrigerator and a sink where you could put your dishes and stuff. They had bingo, music, coloring, and a little exercise room. When she moved in, they repainted the whole room for her and everything. They removed the carpet and they put new flooring, so I would say they're keeping it up.

We went to Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte. Their overall setup was well organized and it looked very welcoming. Some of the services or amenities they have include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the beauty salon, the different activities they have during the day, the way they take them out to the movies, and the different activities that they're able to do. The person who gave us the tour was wonderful. Very welcoming. She made my mom feel welcome. She gave my mom hope. I liked the dining setup. It looked like she was or they're all on vacation.

We went to Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte. We looked at the one-bedroom apartment type, and then we looked at the casitas, which is what my mom kind of gravitated to because it would have been an easier transition from a family home to a casita where it seems like you're in your own little house. We toured the dining areas and the other services they had, like the beauty shop. The physical therapist was also there. Everybody was very professional, very accommodating, and polite.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte. The secretary that gave us the information was good at it. She made us feel like she would be able to get my friend in. After they studied my friend's finances, apparently she went over, so she didn't qualify to be there. The place was nice though. It was clean and attractive from the outside. They were setting up to have a petting zoo in the backyard, and we were interested in that. They were bringing in animals.

My tour of Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte was actually amazing. I spoke to Miss Castillo, and she pretty much explained how everything works. She gave me a tour of the place. She showed me a studio and a 1-bedroom apartment. She showed me the library, some games, and a pool table. The staff was great. Everybody was professional and amazingly nice. When I arrived, everybody was eating. They have this gigantic lobby, and you could tell everybody was interacting with each other. The main lobby was right at the center, and the cottages were located around it. It was easy to find a parking spot, and you could easily tell where the office was. I think the layout was perfect.

My dad's been in Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte for a year now. It's a two-level building. They have an elevator and the overall layout is pretty good. The staff is amazing. They have a lot of board games, they do movie nights, happy hours, arts and crafts, and they have a bus that'll take them to the mall or bingo or the casino if they want. Just that, the food is always served cold because they don't have enough staff to serve them. So, he's always complaining about the quality of food.

I chose Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte. The staff walked us through the location, and he was super, super nice, and very professional. He showed us the room that he had available right away. Just because of his personality and how the room was, that's why we picked it for my mother-in-law. The facility looked really clean. We moved my mother-in-law in. Because we live in Dallas, my wife flew down there to help her move in and everything, and she said everybody was just amazing. All the employees have great attitude, they're super friendly, and very helpful. They offer the food. I spoke to my mother-in-law yesterday, it was the first time she had lunch there, that was the first meal she had, and she said they had spaghetti and it was amazing, and it was very well served. They basically have everything available, like three square meals, and then they have activities. They have everything that she needs.

I like the look of Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte. I also like the condition of the place, and the activities they have for my dad, and the safety of it. The staff has been very friendly, very helpful, and caring. My father hasn't said anything negative, so that's a good sign. They have bingo, crafts, movie nights, and stuff like that so far. He said he likes the food and that it was good. He's got a studio and it's clean too. Then they have benches outside and areas where families could sit with them.

My father-in-law is moving into Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte today. The community is very beautiful. The dining hall is very nice and the food is very good. The seniors mingle with others and do activities. When I was there, I saw some ladies exercising. His apartment is just exactly what he needs. Even though it's independent living, they don't have stoves in it; there's no chance of burning themselves or anything like that. They feed them three times a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The place is very well kept. The service that we received from the manager was very good. The marketing and sales person who helped us first, Omar, was very detailed, and very helpful. Everything's gone exactly the way they told us. I believe it to be a great place. Prices are great too, and we recommend them.

We went to Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte. I like it, it's pretty good. It is close to the house as well. We spoke to Omar, he's the manager. To me, it seemed almost like living on a cruise ship, because if you've got your own room, somebody will go clean it. You go and pick whatever you want out of a menu, like being in a restaurant, and all sorts of fun activities. There are people that work there that make sure everyone's okay, and that everyone's good and having fun. It reminds me of when I went on vacation on a cruise. I thought it would be good for him. Even the manager that was giving us the tour said the same thing. It's like perpetually being on vacation. That's the impression that I got to the place. It's clean; I like the way there's a lot of light that comes inside the room, but also not confined to the room. They can walk outside on the first floor or on the second floor. They've got a nice balcony. If I lived there, it would give me more freedom if I didn't have to just be in my room; I could just walk outside because of the balcony. The staff was very nice, knowledgeable, compassionate, and understanding. We went during breakfast time. We didn't see any activities in action because of that. We didn't eat there, but the large dining area look kind of like a restaurant; people sitting down, and folks being attended to. They had gardens and walking spaces, like walking trails. It's just nice and green, well decorated, and very pleasant. Just from what I saw, I would have had to live there if I were that age. That's how I judge; if I show up and make it to this age, would I like living here? Yeah, I would.

My tour at Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte was OK. It was kind of full the day that I went there because they had a lot of people coming in and checking out the facility. But everything's OK, and I had a pretty good tour. The staff who gave the tour was excellent and very courteous. They were pretty much clean. I just wish I had a little longer tour. The rooms that they showed me were OK. I like the bathroom and shower access, because that's what my mother would have needed. They showed me the back side where they can take walks.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte, and everyone was really nice. They worked with the appointment time. We had to reschedule it, but it wasn't put off for over a week; that was very nice. The facility itself is very, very pretty, and very open. We didn't see a lot of medical care there, but I did see the professionals walking around a little bit. It was very much more independent. The facilities were very pretty. It was a lot newer, and it was very comforting. It smelled really nice there as well. They sent us home with the lunch for that day. It was ribs, and they were very, very good.

We took a tour of Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte and we loved it. The people were wonderful, fantastic, they were welcoming, and truly wanted to know some personal information that would help our communication be better with our mother-in-law. We were shown several different apartments, different sides of the building, views, and we are making another appointment tomorrow to bring my mother-in-law there. We received the menus, got introduced to the staff, maintenance, and their directors and entertainment people, and everything was covered. Tomorrow they're gonna prepare meals for us to go.

I visited Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte. I got to view some of the apartments when I was given a tour of the place. It was very nice. The staff member was a very nice person and he was very detailed about everything. He informed us of daily procedures that they follow right now with COVID. Everything went well. That was the one we really liked. The facility was great.

Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte is very good. It's a lot better than where my mom was before. My mom's room is very nice and she has access to use the washer and dryer. It's a one-bedroom with a kitchenette, living room, and lots of closet space. We're also paying a lot less there than the previous place she lived. She has cable TV included. The people have been very nice and my mom is very happy. She also says the food is great. For the first month that a resident is there, family members could eat free with them, which was amazing. They've been nothing but professional and very caring for my mother.

Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte is clean, bright, and cheery. The director was very kind. I saw 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, and they were clean, light, and airy. The place has nice landscaping. What impressed me was if you attend activities there, you get points, and once a week, you can cash in your points for toilet paper, soap, or things that they have out, and I thought that was really unique. The people seemed very friendly. My first impression was very favorable.

It was nice, and I liked it. My father just didn’t want to move in because he kept thinking it was a retirement home, and I tried to tell him it wasn’t. The people were nice. The rooms were clean and an appropriate size for one person, but you would have to bring your own furniture. The grounds were beautiful. They were eating dinner when I went, and the food smelled delicious. They actually have a nice menu, and they give them a menu instead of just telling them that there is one set menu. The place was beautiful. They have a calendar each month of all the activities that they offer for the elderly to come out and do. They have exercise classes and fun things; they have a lot to keep them active.

I like it here. I like the idea of 3 meals a day, and I don’t have to cook them. I like that the staff stay out of my life unless I need something. My room looks like a hotel room with a small refrigerator, very small sink, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a living room. We have exercises 3 times a day. We have bingo and card games, and we play with little balls rolling on the floor.

It was very clean, and they had all the things that I would be wanting; we're going to utilize that one. They were very professional and courteous. They had a chart that showed movies, games, and arts and crafts -- things that I enjoyed doing -- and they seemed filled and booked up all month.

We spent one afternoon here. The staff did a good job in accommodating us, and that was really nice. They were really first class in everything that they do. The rooms are spacious. This facility is more livable. All the things around it are easier to get to.
