I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The rooms were spacious, comfortable and very clean. The food was very good. The staff was excellent. My husband received physical therapy at Windsor. The rehab facility was excellent. The therapists are very well trained and very knowledgeable and up to date in all aspects of physical therapy. I recommend this facility to everyone. The physical therapy my husband received was very beneficial and the results were more than we expected. We are very grateful to the staff Windsor.

Hers a breakdown of various aspects of this place: 1. Safety: Excellent Doors are locked and opened by a front desk clerk. When Covid spikes up in the county, visitor temps are taken upon entering. Also, nurses always wear masks. Hallways are spacious, clean, and well lit. 2. Staff-Most everyone who work there are friendly and nice. However, I’ve been there when my mom needed to go to the restroom, and some nurses took anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour to come and take her. For the most part, they are caring and friendly. Physical therapists there are amazing! Two thumbs up. Wound specialists are good and one male specialist is particularly amazing with mom. 3. Food: Not good at all most days. Some not even edible. (Ie. Hard crunchy rice, rubbery eggs, cold, cold food, etc.) when I asked for a menu so I’d know when to bring mom food, no one knew anything. I spoke to 4 people who work there and no one knew how to get a hold of that elusive menu. I even went to the cafeteria, but it was closed and no menu was posted. It’s been 2 months and I still don’t have one! 4. Activities: Lots of nice activities for anyone who wants to socialize. My mom is not too social so doesn’t do much. The outdoor patios are really nice and lovely. Patients can pay for hair and nail services offered on specified days. There’s also pet days and bingo and other activities throughout the month. If the patient is positive and social, staff goes out of their way to get you to participate. There is actually a monthly chart for activities! 5. Room: It is fairly spacious, clean, and comfortable. Restroom in room is always very clean and easy access for mom. There is a recliner, a chair, and a large wooden closet that looks like a vintage wardrobe in each room. The hospital bed is firm and comfortable as is the coziness of the room. My mom likes the individual AC as she is able to set the perfect temperature for her which she likes kind of warm! Overall, the facility and staff are quite nice and competent. They’re friendly and respectful and go out of their way to make you comfortable if you ask. The only part of this place that needs serious revamping is the cafeteria/food. (BTW, I was there for 4 hours with mom and noticed the cart with food trays just sitting there for 38 minutes before they even started delivering the food. Mom got super cold food that evening at 530 pm so she didn’t eat it.

I am/was a resident of this facility

Do not think twice about this nursing home. I had to take my aunt there because she couldnt go home. They knew from the start that she could not return home because there was no one to care for her. Then three months later, they tell us she has to go somewhere else because they dont have a bed open for her to stay. If that was said from the beginning i would have chosen another nursing home. This place has many rooms empty so i dont understand why they would kick us out. Bad serivce and use your insurance benefits.

I am a friend or relative of resident

We will not recommend this facility. We had our Mother there for three years. It was a great place until our Mother declined over night in Feb. 2013 due to her Dementia. Then it became a nightmare to her as well as us. The owner/administrator shut the door to her room for being loud and claimed that my Mother was exposing herself. Think twice before taking a love one to this faciity.

I visited this facility

All of the residents are very well taken care of. The nurses and the rest of the staff always have smiles on their faces and very caring attitudes. All of the residents are very clean, they get their hair done on-site, all of their needs are catered to on a continual basis. Every day there is a set menu along with different activities. The rooms are spacious, clean and available in private, semi-private, small apartments. Any time my church group visits this facility we come away with a great feeling of not only feeling god about spending time with the residents, but also seeing their dignity and value intact despite the fact that they cannot live at home by themselves. This facility provides excellent care not only in the physical, but also in the moral and emotional way. I would recommend anyone in a difficult position of deciding whether to place their loved one under care to have access to a facility such as this one.
