I am now living at The Vintage Retirement Community and the personnel are absolutely fabulous. I had a doctor's appointment the other day and they drove me to the doctor and picked me up later. It is a marvelous place.

My mom is in Vintage Retirement Community Assisted Living. It is good but it needs to be updated. It's an old building and it's not as fresh and contemporary as I would like it to be, but the staff has been fine, and some of the staff has been excellent. So it does go from independent senior living down to nursing care. They have bingo and ice cream socials and neighborhood meetings where they get together and discuss any changes they'd like to see. I've seen signs where they can sign up to go, and the driver takes a group of them there. There is a nice library.

I’m in the Village at Denton. The staff is very good and friendly. There are six floors with, I think, 15 people per floor. They have a barber shop, a workout room, and their own restaurant, and activities where they go to different parks and different restaurants about once a week. There are some restrictions, like you can’t smoke around their facility and you have to keep your dog quiet. There are about eight tables in the dining room and six people seated per table.

Vintage Retirement Community has a really cute, homey apartment with a kitchenette, unfurnished, one bedroom, one bath and a living room. My stepmom and dad really like it; they've been there for about two weeks now and are doing well. The staff is very nice.

My mother-in-law is doing fine in Vintage Retirement Community so far. Their services, amenities, food and living environments are all good. What I like best about this place is that it has all three levels of care in one facility.

I've been at Vintage many times and the care as always been good. I've watched the staff and seen first hand the kindness and patience. I'm happy with the service.

When my great aunt and uncle lived in their one-bedroom apartment for the first few years of their residency there, I thought that this retirement home was just as well-kept as any other fine apartment building in the city. When both of them - first he, then she - had to move to the assisted-living facility on the lower floor due to declining health, my opinion changed. Though their care was always top notch, the facility always smelled like urine. I cannot remember a time when it did not. It always made me wonder what kind of care they were really getting.

Had a tour for my mother in May of 2009 for an independent apartment. The building does look like an old hotel and NO sprinklers, so with 6 stories you're in trouble if the place ever caught fire. There is WAY too much staff turnover. Red flag...they don't pay the employees enough. The nursing home smells terrible and the directors just walk around in their fancy suits. I noticed they only talk to the fanicer dressed residents...like they don't want to acknowledge those without much money. Sad but true. The Vintage has also been sold many times...another RED flag. I wouldn't put my dog here. The food was horrible because I tasted it during my lunch tour. Mashed potatoes are meant to be hot, and salads cold...not the other way around. Very disappointed!
