The staff at Brookdale Denton South are very caring people. They go above and beyond to make sure that my husband's transition was smooth. They offer a lot of different activities that he can participate in. They have a good cafeteria with good cooks. He enjoys that. The residents seem to be friendly. He likes it there. They have movie nights, arts and crafts, wine tasting and cheese sampling, outings once a week where they can go shopping and lots of other activities. The dining area is like an upscale cafeteria. They have individual seating. They come and take the orders of the residents, and they provide really good food.

Brookdale Denton South was beautiful, and the people were very nice. The food was excellent, too. The chef was good. It was nice and clean. The staff was very nice, answered all questions, and they were very accommodating. The apartment wasn't quite the layout that we wanted. The bedroom was a little bit small, but it was nice. They had a nice walking area behind them. The back had a lot of greenery and a courtyard. It was nice. It was a pleasant place and we liked it.

My mother is at Brookdale Denton South. They're going through changes because they've been moving bodies as far as the staff goes. There have been quite a few people who come and go. They had problems when we had the rain last year. And rather than move my mother to another room for the time being until they could repair and make the necessary changes, they put her in a room that wasn't suitable for the circumstances at the time. I complained about it. Some things around there that need to be done aren't being done properly. I think they can't keep a full staff. My mom has complained about the difficulty in getting certain things at times. They changed over some of the staff in the kitchen. They do bingo. They go to church. The activities seem to be pretty nice.

The place we toured is Brookdale Denton South. It is a much older establishment. It was not as open or bright. It was colorful. It was very well decorated, but it was just not that open concept like we encountered yesterday at the other facility. My husband and I wanted a two-bedroom, and the bedrooms were very, very small. The living area was quite large, but the bedrooms were very small. Brookdale Denton South has a lovely dining room. They have a little movie theater that was impressive. We enjoyed that tour. They were having what the staff call a Mediterranean event, so they were having cheeses and wines and that kind of refreshment. We partook of that, but we didn't eat a meal. What we had was delicious. We had just had lunch, so we were not really hungry, and so it was more of a snack type thing. I just ate some olives, dip, and cheese. They had wine and it was a red wine. We were there like at 4:00, and the activity that was going on was this Mediterranean event, and they had it set up in the foyer, so the residents were coming and getting things, and we met a few of the residents. I saw their calendar, and they have all kinds of activities.

My mother has moved into Brookdale Denton South. She is loving it. The food is fantastic. It's a very clean and nice-smelling building. There are lots of areas that you can go outside and take in the nice season that we're having now, and the people there were just so very helpful. They have a button if they fall or need help, which is another thing that I like about it. They can push that and get immediate help. There's a nurse on site 24 hours a day. Some doctors come there, you don't have to use them, but if you can't get the person to their doctor, that doctor can see them. My mother has a very small apartment, but it's very spacious for one person. It has a separate bedroom without a door, but there's a wall, so it's separated. It has a nice big walk-in shower, and the bathroom is big enough for a wheelchair. She has a living area, which takes up all of the furniture that she has, and then there's a mini kitchen with a microwave, a sink, and a full-size refrigerator with cabinets and a small workspace. All the one-bedrooms are alike, but they also have two bedrooms. I have not seen those, and I don't know how they're set up, but couples could live there if they chose to do that and have separate bedrooms. They have a movie theater, a beauty shop, a crafts room, and a separate kitchen area if they want to cook. It has a stove with everything that goes with it. They have a big cafeteria, and they have people come in and entertain them once in a while. They were there on Thanksgiving. They have a church service on Sunday. They do a walk inside the building. Everyone seems to be on a walker. They were decorating the Christmas tree yesterday. They can do it any way they want to. They can put things anywhere if they want it. The people do it for them, so they're not having to reach up and get off balance and stuff. Everybody is just fantastic. They do arts and crafts. They have a room where they set up puzzles, It stays down until it is finished. They have a movie theater. It isn't cheap. None of them are cheap. They were in between the ones that I looked at.

I went to Brookdale Denton South and met Veronica. She gave me a short tour of the place and I loved her. She was excellent. It's just the facility was more dated and was not as open to the outside, but it got decent views from the windows. They have a nurse on site and everybody has to wear a mask all the time, except when they're eating or drinking. I understand that everybody's different but my mother-in-law is fearless when it comes to COVID, and she has a little trouble breathing while wearing, so we would appreciate a less restrictive environment. Brookdale Denton South was not a badlocation. It was just not as impressive as the other facilities we checked out.

Of all the places we visited, Brookdale Denton South was our favorite. They have religious services and things like that appeal to my dad. Everything is nice, including the placement, and each bedroom has its own big bath. They have an activity room, a library, and that kind of thing. I don't think they have a swimming pool or a theater room. Overall, it's the best place we've looked at so far.

I visited Brookdale. I liked the facility and the idea that people who are mentally and physically able could come and go on their own. They also had an area for people who were not independent. They take trips and offer transportation. I would recommend them.

We move my mother-in-law to Brookdale. We drive past it almost every day. The staff is very caring. We eat there, and it is very nice. The room is very nice. They have just remodeled, so everything is new. They have tiles, cabinets, and new appliances. It is very pretty. They have activities like exercise, and they play bingo. They have ice cream socials. They have a 4th of July celebration and those types of things. I like everything about it.

I like Brookdale Denton South, but it was just too far away from us. I like their layout, and it was all on the first floor. The marketing director is very cordial and answered all my questions. She took me around and showed me the facilities. She did her job very well.

I moved my mom to Brookdale Denton, and they have been great. They are getting her active already, and she has had a very good experience for her first week. I like the fact that everyone was friendly and informative, and it’s a really bright place to be. It’s very homey feeling and just a very comfortable environment. They have bingo, 42, puzzle room, exercise, singing, and church -- all kinds of things that you can take part in. They even have some service dogs come one day to meet the people. They involve the residents a lot.

Brookdale is excellent, and maintenance is above average. It has a resort style atmosphere and everyone has their own room. Mother has a one bedroom which is a little bit small but is adequate for her. The food is excellent; she really enjoys the food, and they are very accommodating in offering alternates. They have desserts and extra snacks. The dining facility is very clean, very spacious, and they have tablecloths and silverware. They come around the table and serve their orders, bring them their tea, beverages, and stuff like that. It’s like being in a restaurant. They have a movie theater which has theater sitting and stuff and a popcorn machine. They have a very nice library. There are a couple of patios -- one in front and one at the back. They have a bus which takes them shopping and lunch in restaurants. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and nice.

Sterling House was very nice. It was the second facility I visited. It seemed like a caring community. It was clean and there were no odors or anything. It was well-maintained. The rooms were adequate but small though.

When I visited Sterling House on Parkway, the staff was very accommodating. It seemed to be a nice place. Their apartments were good and clean. But there wasn't much activities.

My father has been at this facility for almost 3 years. He has made some very good friends while there. It is a very family oriented facility and the care is amazing.

Sterling House on Parkway was bright, clean and sunny. The staff were caring, charismatic, nice, well-informed, up-front and honest. I liked that they treated the residents as residents and not as patients. It was also more assisted living so I liked that too. My visit was pretty fast though so I was not able to talk to the residents. But this place was in our top three choices.

I am an educationist in Texas and have referred clients to Sterling House on Parkway, which is an assisted living & memory care community, providing support services & care to address resident's needs as well as their life enrichment (via activities). This community has beautiful surroundings and well trained caregiver staff, who provide assistance to residents who are physically struggling with everyday tasks & those mentally struggling due to memory loss. They seem to be able to accommodate most senior residents with a variety of living options available. Each resident has the freedom and opportunity to make choices that will ease their lifestyle transitions. The food is always well-prepared and appetizing and the dining room furniture is very nice. I love the d̩cor of rooms including dining hall. The car parking facility is also available inside the boundary of complex thus adding yet another comfort for residents. The facility looks like a nice place to live with respect and dinity - and I would recommend that anyone looking for a place for their loved one check it out.
