The rooms are nice and adequate for our loved ones needs. The food seems agreeable to the needs. Fruit of some kind would be a nice, healthy addition. We cannot say enough kind words to describe how helpful, loving and supported we feel by every staff member we have encountered here - specifically Andrea who works 6 tasks simultaneously at times with a smile!

My parents have lived here for 6 months and we couldn’t be more pleased!!! The staff is amazing!! We feel so relieved that they are being so well taken care of! Food is good and activities are fun! Very happy to have a doctor on site and physical therapy available too! My parents have also visited the salon on site.

When you first walk in your greeted by a very business like environment not very home like, numerous puddles on the floor due to some kind of leaking roof or something, and when you look up it’s mold and then smell to match, there was nobody at the front desk and the lady who was out in the parking lot vaping came in and introduced herself as the Executive Director. I was greated and then taken to a poorly lit “private dining room that was cold and humid to find out more about my dad who was needing assisted living, the ED seemed very open about the buildings issue but never said what she was doing to improve it which was a red flag to me. The rooms are fairly nice size however again if there’s mold in the ceiling at the entry what would make me trust this place. With that being said I choose somewhere else and so should you if you care about your loved ones health.

Not the facility you want your loved one at!! Beautiful facility, with lots of poor quality!! When we began looking for a facility, we thought we had done a thorough review when we chose Sodalis. Our loved one has been there for less than a year, they have had two executive directors during that time, and I believe three in the last year and a half, at least three nursing supervisors, the current, who is very judgmental. The level of care is definitely not what you want. The state came in and did a review last year, and found with our loved one alone, that there were over 60 incidences in one month where she did not receive her medicine. We also noted on five other residents that they did reviews on, that they had very similar incidences. So, if your loved one depends on their medication, this is definitely not where you want. Retaliation definitely takes place there. The food, might look decent, but it is not good at all. Activities, are very spares, and they do not keep the residence engaged. They decide who they will take on outings, and who they will not, based on reviews, and their prejudices. We have reached out to upper management, to include Traci, their CEO/President of the company, and they do absolutely nothing. I have had three scheduled phone appointment with Traci, and she failed to take a single call. And she was the one that chose the dates and times. Horrible leadership! I have noticed in the last month walking down the hall, that many residents are moving out. In the hall, I walk down, there are currently five or six vacant rooms, that just as recently as last month were occupied. I think that says something about a company when you have that many move outs in a short time. There are a few of the employees there, that are worth their weight in gold. These employees I believe have the heart to work with our loved ones. A few of those that I give high praise to are: Taylor, Holley, Marcellena, and Lena. Just a word of caution, be sure, and do a thorough investigation, to include interviewing of residents, and their loved ones when you are choosing a place to move your loved one.

I question the willingness and ability for staff to keep residents safe. My mother was previously a resident and was brutally attacked by a fellow resident, who in the words of a caregiver interviewed by the police, was continuously aggressive with residents and caregivers inside the facility. There are many unanswered questions as to how this horrific attack was able to take place despite red flags. I'm concerned for fellow residents.

I toured the memory care at Sodalis Deer Park. I saw their food while they were eating and the food looked incredible. There were sandwiches and they looked like any of the business meetings I've ever been to, so it looked great. The rooms were comparable. They were not particularly spacious or overly large or anything like that, but they were about what I expected. So, their room size was average. I liked the fact that they weren't even just asking about my dad, but they were also asking about my mom (because she's been his caregiver) how she is doing, and how is she going to do with this transition. I thought it was great that it wasn't just about getting my dad in here to make money. It was, "Hey how is the family doing?" They were interested in learning about how we are doing as a family. That was awesome. The sales director was incredible. I cannot say enough good things about her. I enjoyed talking to her. It was a very easy conversation. The facility was modern and clean. I didn't see anything that was messed up. I didn't see holes in walls or anything, anything goofy like that.

I didn't find Sodalis Deer Park welcoming. It was very business-oriented. When you're trying to do something like this, you need somebody who's more caring for what we're going through, which I think that's very important. This place is not something that you're going to feel comfortable leaving your loved ones and feel like they're going to be caring. They are running it like a business. I understand that all of these are businesses, but that's what you're looking for, a caregiver, somebody who has a very good understanding. The person who gave us the tour was nice, but I didn't feel comfortable with her. They have all the amenities that they need. They offer pretty much like bingos and an on-call nurse practitioner 24 hours, but nothing exceptional.

Sodalis Deer Park was a nice memory care facility. I had no objections. I didn't see any issues or a problem for us. It was mostly that it was just not affordable for us because we were paying out of pocket and my mom does not have any long-term care insurance. So, that can be quite expensive for someone like us, and using her money in savings and then family contributions, that can get a little tough. The staff was very pleasant. The rooms were a pretty good size. The dining area was also good. It was fitting for the type of residents that they cared for.

We've chosen Sodalis Deer Park. The place is beautiful, very clean, and very friendly. The staff was well informed. I liked the amenities. It seems like a really good fit for our dad. We did get a look at the menu, and they showed us an example of the menu, but we did not sample it. We are planning that in the weeks to come to take him and have a lunch date there. We're also planning to go and maybe do either bingo or a movie night so he can kind of interact with others just to make sure it is the right fit. It looks like they had some arts and crafts stuff. They had some music. They have guest speakers that come out. It seems pretty active. She did mention they take some off-site trips like they'll go out to have dinner once a month, and sometimes the schools put on shows. They might go see the show or something like that. Everything was just what we needed. We looked at the larger single, as well as a studio single. The studio is more fitting for what we need. We didn't need the extra space. But the restrooms are really large with the safety feature, you just kind of step in and you don't have to step over a tub or anything. All the handrails are in place, a lot of closet space, but it was nice that they provided a refrigerator, which was unexpected. This looks like it would be a nice place for him to call home. The staff was all smiles, very friendly, very helpful, and answered all of our questions. She gave me her cell phone number if I needed anything. And she lives close by but was very compassionate because she'd been through the same thing with her own father. They did a great job. I like the fact that in addition to the regular dining area, they also have, like, a private dining room. So if you want to have a family gathering, you have a space to do that, and they don't charge you extra for it. The price was right too, it's not as expensive as some, a little bit more than others, but it just looks like it's going to be worth it. It has a better value.

Sodalis Deer Park was a beautiful community. It has not been open very long, and so it was very well kept. The food smelt delicious. I toured both the assisted living and memory care and I think it was a little more upscale than some of the other places. It had that kind of vibe to it. The staff was very wonderful. They were very nice, very knowledgeable about their complex, and very helpful. They gave lots of good information and they could accommodate what we were needing for my mother. They had a gym, lounging areas for families to gather or that you could reserve, and a bar for happy hour. The dining area was very elegant and very nice. It felt like you were going out to a nice steak house dinner. It was first-class.
