My dad moved to Morada Deer Park a few weeks ago. He likes the location, and a lot of his friends are there. He had also lived there before they had a hurricane, so he is familiar with it. The facility is very nice; it's been remodeled. The staff was very helpful and very kind. His apartment is very nice and clean, and it is a good size. They have a lot of activities like card games and bingo. They go on little day trips, and they have entertainment that comes in. They have games that they play, too.

I toured Morada Deer Park. It was very clean and well-kept. It's high-end, but the rent would go up depending on your specific needs. They offer lots of amenities. The staff and accommodations are very friendly. They had security, and the option to choose whether they wanted to have a camera in their apartment, was great. Morada Deer Park was beautiful.

We toured Morada Deer Park. When you walk into the facility, it is very welcoming. It has really nice décor. The entrance is very grand. It is really, really pretty on the inside. They have a really big dining area for all the tenants to join together, eat, and have fellowship. They have a giant library for everybody to enjoy. The ground on the outside is not really big, but it is still pleasant. The thing that turned me off most about the facility was that compared to where my dad is staying now, a lot of the rooms were kind of outdated. The one that we saw had carpet, but we like having the wood floors because we don't have to worry about things getting spilled, getting messy, and all that stuff. The only person I met was the coordinator at the facility. I didn't really meet any other staffing. I wasn't impressed with the room they had for my dad.

My dad is at Morada Deer Park. The staff is very caring. The facility is kept very clean, but the activities that are offered are very limited and very repetitive. The food is below par. The selection as far as the food is concerned is extremely limited, and it is not what I would consider a balanced, nutritious diet. It's very heavy on starch and not a lot of offerings and not prepared very well. It's not unusual for eggs to be undercooked or overcooked, grits to be undercooked or overcooked, toast to be burned to the point where it can't be eaten, meat to be cooked to the point where you can't cut it with a knife. They have a problem there with their food service. The staff is kind and attentive. The building is nice and is kept nice. They have a hair salon. They go places as far as they have a weekly trip to Walmart, to the store, and that kind of thing. Activities are very, very limited. They do bingo every day, but as far as activities, going places, and doing stuff, they go to Walmart.

The Waterford at Deer Park was very beautiful and had been remodeled. I liked the inside of it. The staff member who showed us around was very nice. I couldn't eat most of the food. I tried because it was too spicy. They have entertainment.

The Waterford at Deer Park was very nice. The facility was excellent. The staff seemed to be very knowledgeable, and the residents seemed to be very happy. It didn't quite met the needs that we needed for my mother-in-law, but it was really a good place. My only drawback was that my mother-in-law had a dog, and she would need assistance with having the dog walked, but they did not have that type of service available. Everything else was awesome. We were looking at a studio apartment with a little kitchen and a large bathroom. However, what was available was on the second floor and my mother-in-law wasn't really excited about that.

I visited The Waterford. I was very impressed with them. I saw the dining room, and it seemed very nice. I saw some people in the puzzle room sitting together. There were a few people sitting in the dining room just visiting, and there were one or two people sitting in the lounge area. Those were about the only activities I saw.

My mom has recently moved into The Waterford and loves it! She is recently widowed after 63 years, so this was a very difficult decision to move her 300 miles from home. I wanted her closer to me since she is almost 83. This was the best decision we could have made. The facility is so clean and the employees are extremely nice and caring. The activities are great including bingo, bridge and the ice cream socials. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a place they can trust!
