I visited this facility

Whiterock Court was quite attractive. The staff was very helpful. The dining area was fine. I don't know anything about the food. They weren't serving at the time. I know they do not have accommodations for special diets, which my husband requires. They have a rather small area with some workout equipment. My husband found it adequate to his needs.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I moved into Whiterock Court. It's beautiful. The room is very nice. The staff is excellent. They anticipate my needs. They're available 24/7. They do it in a manner that's extremely, extremely helpful. Yesterday, I had a chance to stop by and see the administrator, and she was just so pleasant and always has been helpful. There's a calendar that's published each week with all of the items included. I haven't been partaking in them yet, but I certainly will. I was in the hospital for a week, so I didn't get to participate, but I've talked with some of the other residents about how much they enjoy them. The dining area is very nice, and the meals are served on time. They're warm and they're tasty and with a wide variety.

Provider Response

Robert, You're a joy to have in the community. We are so grateful to have you as part of our Whiterock Court Family. Thank you for the sweet review. Sincerely, Angela Stevens

I am/was a resident of this facility

I have moved into Whiterock Court. I felt totally at home the minute I walked through the door. Everyone has been more than kind and gracious, and I feel like we're one big family. We're all here for more or less the same reasons. We have family, but we want to have a place of our own. I have no complaints about anything. It has turned out to be very good. I have my own apartment and three meals a day, which turns out to be very good food. There are plenty of activities and transportation if you need it anywhere. It's a beautiful setting. I just couldn't be happier. I think I made one of the best choices I've ever made. The apartment that I have is a studio, which is just more or less one big room. It has a very big window overlooking some beautiful trees. I'm on the third floor. There's an alcove that the bed kind of fits in, so it's almost like a separate room. And of course, you have your own bathroom. They're indoor rooms, and you have a balcony on the outside. There are one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments available also. I can't say much about them because I have a studio, and I'm very happy with it. I also have a pet too, which is allowable here. I'm able to keep her, and that works out very well. They have a lot of activities every single day like bingo and dominoes. They play beanbag baseball. They have a very nice library, a salon onsite, physical therapy, and an exercise room. There's a grand piano here and someone comes in and plays the piano occasionally. They have activities where they go to restaurants or shows. You get a community calendar for a whole month and it's full.

I visited this facility

Whiterock Court was very nice. It's a very secluded and quiet place. The staff that showed me around were very nice. They were very helpful and even checked back after I had visited to see if it was OK, but we were really looking for something that had a full kitchen, and we weren't needing a place until after the holidays. The rooms were very nice, and the facility looked good. They have a salon, a big game room with a pool table, weekly housekeeping, library, and transporation to appointments or shopping. It was two levels, so there were some apartments that were on the second floor. The dining room was also nice.

I visited this facility

We went to Whiterock Court. It was a very good tour. They have very pleasant people there. They were very sweet and very kind. They answered all the questions that we had and gave us more information that I hadn't thought to ask. Their grounds were beautiful. It would've been a great-looking place, but it's a little bit further out from where we wanted to be. The apartments we saw were very pretty, and everything smelled very clean and very fresh. I think they were one of the ones that had gotten damaged in the ice storm we had back in February, and so they were doing some construction just to get it all repaired, but the rest of the facility did not look like it was under construction. There was no dirt or dust anywhere, and they had it all contained while they were doing the repairs.

I visited this facility

The staff at Whiterock Court treated us very well, was very hospitable, very thorough, friendly, and did a very good job of showing us around. The only concern is we would have to move in order to receive more advanced services. The apartments were very adequate, and it's the area in which we would like to retire. It's very nice. The facility including the dining area was clean and pleasant.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My parents chose Whiterock Court. We like it, it's a nice place, the people who live there and the staff members are friendly and helpful, and the food is great. The apartment is nice and roomy and the services are great. It's also located in a beautiful wooded area which my dad loves. They just really loved everything about it. They will be in independent living but they still receive quite a bit of services. Their meals are provided and cooked for them, they get housekeeping and laundry services, and they have transportation to many locations. They also have things like church services there, there's a barber shop and salon where you can have your hair done, and other things as well. They have lots and all kinds of activities for the residents. They have a game room, movie areas, ice cream socials, book club, they do all kinds of things. They have a little store that comes in, people come in and sell things for them, they also do outdoor things if you want to go outside. We were there during lunch time, so we were able to eat lunch and meet with the residents. It was nice. The staff members were very sweet, they were very helpful and knowledgeable. My parents enjoyed the food and liked it, I thought it was fine though not really gourmet.

We really liked Whiterock Court and we went back several times. I was very pleased with the interaction with the staff. They knew everyone's names, introduced me to the residents, and they talked to me about the habits and different things they got to know about the residents that my brother might like because they have it in common. They were willing to have vinyl flooring instead of carpets, which is going to be a big help for him. I was pleased with their accommodation and their willingness to get to know more about you. The room was a 1-bedroom about 540 square feet with a bathroom, it only has a kitchenette but there's a full-sized refrigerator. They can put him in contact with reading, and he really likes the idea of getting to meet the chef because he loves to cook in his day. He can't wait to share stories with the chef and really looking forward to that. I like that they had 3 meals a day, if he wants to cook they have a kitchen that you can cook in. They were having a staff chili cook-off and everybody got to vote on the cook-off, and I thought that was very wonderful.

Whiterock Court is a top-notch place that's conveniently located. The rooms were better than the other communities we saw, and the layout was good. I liked that the apartments were about 100 feet from the dining hall. The staff member was very good at what she did and knew all about the property. We had a meal there, and the food was pretty good. I saw the menu, and they had more food choices. They also had some a la carte choices that you can get any time.

I was at Whiterock and spoke with a nice gentleman who was there. The place was quite nice in a wooded area. I saw their dining area, and everything looked very comfortable, very clean, and hygienic. I did not see any security people, but the place looked very secure and nice; it has to be secure because it’s not easy to get to.

I visited this facility

We really enjoyed our visit at White Rock Court with my son. The people we talked to were very nice. I'm so disabled I have to walk with a walker, so I'm not going to be doing much activity, like exercising. I'm 81 years old. The apartments that I've seen were pretty large. We like a large apartment, too. There were two floors and I like that it's big enough. It all looked very nice. We were very much impressed.
