Dad moved to Avalon Memory Care-Royal Circle Dallas. It's a single family home and it is clean. They have rooms for eight residents. The staff seems to be good. They cook the meals for the residents and care for them. My dad seems to like the food. In the living room of the house, they have a TV and my dad watches a TV with a person leading exercises, and he does some simple self exercising there, but anything else, I don't know what that might be. I haven't seen it. It's very limited.

About Avalon Memory Care - Royal Circle Dallas in Dallas, Texas
Avalon Memory Care has gone to great lengths to provide a mode of care that is uniquely tailored to the special needs of the Alzheimer's victim. We are concerned with every phase of the resident's needs (physical, emotional, and social). We work to restore and support the resident's self esteem, dignity, and the resumption of as many of the daily personal tasks of which the resident is capable. Surrounded by family treasures and memories, the residents live in the comfort and privacy of their own rooms in a spacious, ranch style, one level home with built-in security features such as a secured patio and roomy backyard. They bond with and enjoy the companionship of other residents and inevitably form a 'family feeling' that eliminates the loneliness or isolation often experienced in institutional settings. They enjoy luxury accommodations including exquisite furnishings in these fine homes. We provide professional and sensitive care for the physical, emotional, mental, and social needs of our residents. Our care focuses on the safety and well-being of our residents, 24-hours a day. We have many excellent referrals and are licensed by the State of Texas as a small/large Class B Assisted Living with Alzheimer and Related Disorders certification. To learn more about this provider's license and review other available state reports, please visit: Texas Long-Term Care Provider Search

The Avalon - Royal Circle assisted living facility was a place we visited while on a quest to find a suitable new place for our aunt. It resembled a large ranch style home. The outside was well kept and maintained. We could see seniors of various ambulation enjoying themselves on the walkways and on the many benches in back. Communal areas feature nicely furnished rooms for reading, games, crafts, TV and scheduled and resident reserved social events. The decor throughout is calming and elegant. There were also nice areas for socializing with residents and family and friends. The dining area are nicely designed for easy access with comfortable furnishings. There is a casual area where dining is slightly more private - since the tables seat 4. The food looked and smelled delicious with great menus options. The snacks also looked like they had a nice variety - and they are offered any time the residents want them. The residents get to go on many excursions into the city, to visit the many art museums, galleries and other local events. The nearby restaurants offer many kinds of food for fine to casual dining. There is also a lot of great shopping in the area. The facility is close to plenty of medical doctors and hospitals. The residents may exercise in the facility and take classes, yoga, or use equipment or use the walking lanes outside. They clearly provide a kind, caring environment for residents who seem very content.
