I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My wife was at Bristol Park Cypress one time and I recommend that place to everybody. It's pretty nice. I wouldn't want to put my wife in there otherwise. They had all kinds of different programs for them. The staff was fine. They helped my wife out immensely. I went to lunch with her a couple of times, and the food was good. She didn't do the activities very much, because she was in pretty bad shape when she was there. They just get worked on her therapy and getting her to move, helping her get out of bed, helping her to shower, and all that. She needed help and she's 100% improved. The place is probably only five or six years old, so it is in great shape.

My mom moved into Bristol Park Cypress. Overall, it just seemed like the best fit for her. She had been in independent living, and it seems more similar to where she had been. The facility is very nice. They have a theater room, an activities room, and an exercise room. They have people to do the laundry and clean. The bus will take them out for outings and take them ten miles away. My mom's apartment has a sitting area, a bedroom, a kitchenette, and a bathroom. They do what they say they will do. They check on my mom. They come in and make sure she's OK. The staff members are very friendly and caring. They interact as if it were their family. The food was very good. My mom has done bingo, painting classes, exercise classes, and went on an outing.

I went to tour Bristol Park Cypress. I thought the place was very nice, very well-maintained, and very clean. The staff was quite friendly. The studio apartment was raw but cozy and clean. There were residents around playing bingo and they seemed to have plenty of activities. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable. It would be a big good choice in an urban environment.

Bristol Park Cypress had private patios that came off of the apartment. It had two chairs in it and a little table, so we liked that you could sit outdoors in your own private area. The apartment had a kitchenette and it meets my in-laws' needs. The living room was very, very tiny though. I wish it was bigger and I wish it had two bathrooms. It only has one, but it's big and the bedrooms were great. They had a beauty parlor, a place where you can meet your family, a media room, a nice big indoor and outdoor dining, laundry service, and maid service once a week. When I was there, I saw some residents doing a current events discussion. Others were eating in the restaurant area and walking out in the courtyard, doing laps for exercise. They also provide transportation to doctor visits or to the grocery store. They're super friendly and very helpful. Everything was so neat and clean.

We went to Bristol Park Cypress. It was very nice and friendly. All the residents were very friendly and they seemed to be happy. The people that we spoke to were good, they seemed rushed, but maybe because we came close around lunchtime. One of the residents said the food was really good. She kept talking about the food. I like that it was very spacious. The people were very engaged and going from one activity to another one, which we liked. The lady that showed us around Maria was very, very nice, very knowledgeable, and also knew all of the residents. She was very good. The activities director, she's a queen. She kept the people engaged. I think she seemed more like a family member. She had a lot of different activities. She showed us what they had done, the projects that they created and she kept them. When they did puzzles, she would frame them, and hang them on the wall. She was good. They had a salon. They had a town center where people could walk through like it was a little tiny town and they could visit little shops. That was cool. They had a lot of garden spaces for the residents where they do the gardening. That was nice.

The overall management organization changed on November 1. Around the end of December, a very hands on director who had earned the five star rating from us along with other personnel were no longer with the organization. What was outstanding care for the first five weeks of our family member's residency is no longer something to be counted upon in our opinion. I met with the acting director from the Corporate Office twice over a period of perhaps two weeks regarding the drastic change in both cleanliness of our family member's apartment, laundry piled up, several days of dishes in the sink, her water glass and television remote several times being out of reach, and bed being made improperly for her situation. Four days after the last meeting with the director, our family member's water glass and remote were accessible but not much else had changed. Our request for contact from the senior regional manager who had said "call anytime" has not generated a response. Our family member has fallen twice this last week after there was no response to her assistance call button. My wife was cleaning up the apartment herself when she determined the button was not working at all. The batteries needed to be replaced which they were. We are paying for the highest level of care being offered, and yet the apartment is constantly a mess, clothes left out everywhere, and basic necessities like water glasses and remote controls regularly left out of reach. A new permanent director came on board in mid-January, and during the two weeks before, just about every management position has also turned over. Also, we are told the large turnover in hourly staff is because they did not meet the new company's standards. We have been encouraged to provide the new director with a chance to make the right things happen. We will do that but only because waiting for a short while longer is a better option than finding yet another place where these potential management turnovers can turn outstanding care into something far less in a matter of weeks.

It was a really beautiful place, and we wished we had placed our mom-in-law there. They had a lot of activities. The memory care was wonderful. The thing I liked about it is they have built a main street inside the building that has a soda shop, a gardening store where people can work with gardening tools, a men's shop where the men can go and tinker, a media room that looks like a movie theater, and a box office. It's a real neat area for the residents to hang out. The staff was very nice, and the whole place smelled very nice. The dining area was very nice, too.

This is a brand-new, modern, and very clean place. The staff is very impressive, and everyone has several years of experience in the field, so I felt very comfortable placing my mother there. They have exercise classes, table games, dominoes, card games, puzzles, and movies. The dining area was beautiful and clean. The chef came out and introduced himself to me.
