My parents are staying at Lutheran Sunset Ministries in Clifton. Based on my experience it's been good. They really like the staff and they said they like their fellow residents. Their room is well laid out, it's open concept, so it's easier to get around, and pretty much the only interior door is the one for the bedroom. It's good in case they would need a wheelchair or something like that. They really like the food too, and a couple of times I visited I also sampled it. It was very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful, neither I nor my parents have had any issues with them. They're very good and very professional. I like the way the facility is laid out. My parents are definitely getting a good value for their money.

It has been my pleasure to make the 430 mile trip from Amarillo to Clifton on five different occasions. Each time, the Sunset Home far exceeded any other facility.....any where in Texas. My mother’s cousin is a resident there. She is ALWAYS clean and happy, treated with great joy and respect and we are always made to feel very welcome. I am most thankful for everyone who helps to provide her such wonderful care. It is truly amazing!

MOM'S ROOM IS ALWAYS CLEAN AND NEAT. THE STAFF IS GREAT! THEY IMMEDIATELY TAKE CARE OF ANY NEEDS THAT MOM MAY HAVE! THERE ARE LOTS OF ACTIVITIES PLANNED WEEKLY, WHICH THE ACTIVITY DIRECTOR IS THE BEST! SHE GOES OUT OF HER WAY TO MAKE SURE THE RESIDENTS HAVE FUN! THERE ARE BANDS THAT COME AND PLAY, BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS, PAINTING CLASSES. AND MUCH MORE! COULDN'T ASK FOR A BETTER PLACE! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! OH LAST BUT NOT LEAST, BEAUTY SHOP IS GREAT TOO! My mom stays in the Sunset Home. We spent some time out in the patio garden. Beautiful flowers. She is well taken care of. I do not worry about her because I know she’s in good hands.

I think the staff try very hard but there is lots of turnover. The facility always seems to be clean. Many times when assistance is needed, the wait time seems rather long. The food needs improvement. Overall, there is room for improvement but it’s the best we have available in the area.

I have a friend that is currently living at the Sunset Home. Her days are spent listening to the bands that come play or participating in art class or exercise classes. She is always smiling and has nothing but great things to say. The nursing staff is knowledgeable and caring. I would reccomend this place to anyone who asks!

My parents will be moving into Lutheran Sunset Ministries next week. It had small apartments and would take a major adjustment for them to get used to it. I didn’t think they realize that. They were on a waiting list for a larger apartment. It was nice for the price and in a safe community. It was actually in the town that they wanted to live in, where their primary care doctor was, and right next door to a hospital. It was only 30 miles from Waco. They did not need assisted living, but at the end of the road, if they needed that, they could transfer over to the assisted living. They were happy that they would be doing independent living.

We placed my mother in Lutheran Sunset Ministries three weeks ago, and it was recommended by a friend. The place is great, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They do all kinds of stuff like art projects and bingo. There is also a hospital right across the street. She said the food is OK.

My mother-in-law was in Lutheran Sunset Ministries. The Lutheran Church supports them. The rooms in all of our nursing homes are really nice. They were very comfortable rooms; they're very clean. Everybody is very friendly. I know quite a few of them. The people that live there seem to be very happy. I haven't seen anybody that is wanting to leave. I think it's probably the better one in town. It seems to be very well maintained. Even the older building is still fairly maintained. They built a new one; they just keep expanding.
