Morada Burleson used to be called Covenant Place Burleson before, but they got bought out. They became very understaffed and unable to handle my mom's level of care. The first time she was there was two years ago, and it was great. After COVID hit, they became very short-staffed and unable to care for the residents. Their service went way downhill to the point that mom was on the brink of death because they weren't taking care of her. After they got bought out, I understand that several more staff left. They kept the facility clean, but they weren't able to care for the residents. They had a lot of residents with dementia or physical disabilities, and they didn't have the equipment that their staff needed to help lift some of their heavier residents. They had issues with stocking enough food, and there was a time when they were just giving them sandwiches. When COVID hit, if someone was positive, everybody had to quarantine, and she ended up going through like four rounds of quarantine. They were all isolated, and they were not taking them to activities or doing things in their rooms. Several residents were trying to escape when we would go take her things; they were trying to make a mad dash out of the door and getting in trouble for it. For my mom, she ended up getting thirty-five days of quarantine, and there were not enough staff to check on her, so she wasn't eating and got down to eighty-one pounds. They were not showering her, she was sleeping all day, and they would take food to her in her room and just leave it there. She has no tea, and they have promised us that they would blend it but they didn't. From the time we brought her home up to now, she's gotten up to eighty-seven or ninety-two pounds.

Covenant Place of Burleson was very nice. The apartment we saw was very clean but it's a little bit smaller than what my uncle has now. The person who accommodated me during the tour was very nice and gave me a lot of information. They were doing activities, they had a little therapy area, and there's also a beauty shop.

Our experience at Covenant Place of Burleson has been great. the place is one floor, and my mom is right down from the cafeteria. They bring her meals if she wants to eat in her room. The food is good. They keep up with changing sheets, doing the laundry, cleaning her room, and giving her medications. Her room is fine and is big enough for a bed, table and chairs, a couch, two night stands and a chest of drawers. They have been cooperative as far as when we request something. They've been very good. They have a lot of activities like church services, Bible studies, Walmart trips, going out to eat, and social get-togethers.

I was in Covenant Place of Burleson. It's assisted living and you have your own apartment. It was a very nice community. Everybody that worked there was very nice and helpful. They were very good. The food and the dining area were good. They have activities like bingo, they have singers come in, and they have a beauty salon and a TV room.

I did not feel like Covenant Place was a good match for my dad. I actually felt that my dad was a little further along in memory care than would work at Covenant Place. Like they expect the residents to come down to the cafeteria at mealtime, and my dad would not have been able to do that. They have a better selection of food because they have a menu they could choose from, but it was more like a restaurant style. Also, basically, if they didn’t get down there for a meal, they were kind of locked. It was a little older, but it seemed clean. It was a little more convenient for me, but it was not a good fit for him.

Covenant Place of Burleson seemed nice and comfortable, but I don't think my husband would like that big dining area. It had nice grounds in it. It was a little bit old ,but it would be nice that my husband could meet a lot of people. I liked that the color was not pure white but a nice soft comfortable green. I also liked the rooms, and I liked the outdoor facilities with nice green space. The place was very comforting.

Covenant Place of Burleson was very nice and clean. The people were very helpful and took me on a tour of the place. I think they were remodeling a few rooms there. The rooms were small but clean and just what I needed.

I visit this facility once a month to check in on a family member who is living here. The staff here is always very friendly. They always have a smile on their face and answer any questions I have. The facility itself is nice. It is a newer facility. Everything here is always clean and seems to be in working order. The family member here has enjoyed living here. They like the friendly atmosphere. The staff keeps the rooms clean. My family member is always taken care of and I don't have to worry about how she is treated. I have never had any problems or issues with this place. I enjoy my visits to this facility. It has been a blessing compared to other facilities she has been in. The cost of care and living is comparable to the other facilities in the area and the service is wonderful. I'm and grateful to have such a caring place looking after my loved one.

The facilities were clean and the staff were generally pretty friendly. They had regularly scheduled activities. My girlfriend's mother (dementia) was quite happy with a magic show they recently had where she participated as an "assistant." They have church services, as well. Laundry sometimes disappears but I think that's not unusual for assisted living facilities. The decor is not the dated "cinderblock institutional" that you sometimes see in these facilities. Overall, it's better than average.
