I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The nurses and staff work really hard to accommodate Everyone in their facility. They are friendly and make the visitors feel extremely welcomed. The residents seem very happy. The staff and nurses are always ready to assist us each time we visit. Thank you for your service and a great job.

My aunt is staying there and indeed it does smell, the staff doesn't care, room is dirty they can't even provide toilet paper and instead give you tissues. It is an embarrassment they should take care more of the people there they are getting paid to do it. They only care about charging your insurance and don't care about the patients. Hope my aunt gets to go home soon I feel so sad every time I go in the building just looking at how smelly and unattended this place is.

I visited this facility

I visited this facility many times over about the last 3 to 4 years while my uncle was cared for there. (about once to sometimes twice a month).(Feb 2015) it was well run, smelled nice almost all the time (smell is a primary indicator for ANY nursing home). Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and either getting people back on their feet- or providing basic care are things done there. It's a nice location, where you can wheel your loved one out to the parking lot facing a Resaca (like a pond for anyone not from Brownsville reading this, but literally the old pathways of the river). Perfect? maybe not- but anyone stuck in a nursing home anywhere is going to have some issues just with the environment- When I get old(er) I may just go swim with the sharks every day to avoid being in a nursing home (of course with that level of fitness, maybe I won't be in one anyway)

DIRTY, SMELLS, RUDE STAFF, PATIENTS SAY THEY ARE FED VERY LITTLE AND ALWAYS HUNGRY. THE FACILITY NEEDS MAJOR ATTENTION. THOSE OLD PEOPLE ARE NEGLETED AND NOT CARED FOR PROPERLY.
