We chose Meadowbrook Memory Care Community for my mom because it's very pretty and very attractive. There's a very high number of caregivers to patients too. They have a sensor in her room that when she gets out of bed, they immediately get notified and come and help her because she does need help. It's extremely clean, and it always smells nice. The food is pretty good. Overall, the care that she's receiving is very high quality. They have very nice people. She moved in about 3 months ago now. We saw their food and the dining place was very attractive. The first day she had breakfast there, she said it was very good. They have a lot of activities and exercises. It's designed for people with Alzheimer's, which she has, so they're experts in that. We are surprised that she is joining in the activities. We didn't expect that but she is and she likes it.

My aunti will be moving into Meadowbrook Memory Care Community. We chose it because it closely resembles to the one that she was in previously, since it's a sister community. I am very impressed with the staff. The place was very clean, comfortable, and everyone was very friendly.

I was very impressed with Meadowbrook Memory Care Community. In fact, they would have definitely been a contender; it's just that they were a lot more expensive than the other place. They were good. They're all very friendly, helpful, very caring, and very professional. The facility was very clean, very accommodating, very comfortable, and very homey. I was very pleased. I would've picked them if it wasn't for the money.

I have friends at Meadowbrook Memory Care Community. It's just great in every way except they don't have a nurse who can take care of my husband. The staff was very accommodating. It's well kept. It's in a nice neighborhood and near a park. I suggest they get a registered nurse who can take care of a person with type 1 diabetes. The rooms were very nice and big. They had an activity area and a courtyard. They had a salon, but nobody was in there. It's a beautiful facility.

Before the lockdown my mother had been at Meadowbrook Memory Care. I would not put anyone there. First of all, they raised the rent during a pandemic thinking they had us between a rock and a hard place. However, a few weeks later they had a huge outbreak of coronavirus, which was all over the news I wouldn't recommend them at all. After the pandemic there were no reports on how my mother was doing. There was nothing from them. To get a straight answer from them was almost impossible. My mother was in hospice care so it was very important that we get a report, but we were not getting that from them. The only communication we had was from the hospice nurse. To get in touch with somebody and find out how she was doing was almost impossible. Their staff was good and the place itself was clean. However, activities meant nothing for someone like my mother because she was in her room all the time. When we would go visit her, the room was locked and we had to contact somebody. It would take 30 minutes to find somebody to unlock the room.

My mother is at Meadowbrook Memory Care Community and it's wonderful. I was a florist and they used to be my customer. They bought their residents flowers on holidays and on Mother's and Father's Day. So far, they've been really good. I changed something on her medication through the doctor. The doctor sent them a fax and they called me and said she needs to be on a probiotic, so that means they're paying attention to her medication. They have activities any time between 8:00 in the morning and 7:00 at night. They have movies and they sent me pictures of her playing different games. She has a group of people to do it with. She likes it there. They take them to the museum and bring them Wendy's hamburgers to eat. It's very active, and she loves all that. They said she has done every single thing. The staff is great.

We ended up going with Meadowbrook assisted living and memory care. At the time, I felt like it was the right place for my mother. It’s for people who have memory problems and physical problems as well. There are some activities but not many. They have a dining area for the residents with good food, but the care itself is a little bit lacking. I think they’re very low on the number of staff needed to give the level of care that is really necessary.

Thank you for taking a moment and writing a review for Meadowbrook Memory Care Community. I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations for your mom’s care. We will provide your thoughtful feedback to the Director of Activities to ensure we are providing a full complement of events and to our Dining Director for providing good food. Our number one goal is the exceptional care that our teams provide, and we will look into the staffing levels so we may continue to offer a superior service to our residents. Our door is always open for any future questions or concerns.

Mom was at Meadowbrook Memory Care Community for 8 days. In that 8 days, they failed to see that she ate, and she lost 6 lbs. It is a memory care facility, so they should know that Mom was having trouble going to the lunch room. If she didn't show up, they'd bring a tray and lay it on her night stand. If she was sleeping, she wouldn't realize it was there. And if I ask the nurses, they would say she was doing very good. How could she lose 6 lbs in 8 days if she was eating? The place may be OK for some of the residents there, but I just didn't feel it was the right place for my mother.

My mother has been in Meadowbrook Memory Care since February, and so far, it's been the best place. There are some minor issues, but they address everything pretty quickly. It's excellent. They have artwork and a couple of TV rooms and activity rooms. They have people that come in and do singing. They have a church, parties on holidays, and a good program for widows and widowers and for VA people. They're working with us while we're getting VA benefits for my mom for my dad's service.

My family member was there for over a year. The facility is nice, but always short handed. We hired in extra help to care for our family member. With an extra set of eyes we became more aware how the facilty was ran. The regular staff is supose to show up on an hourly basis to check-in, our caregivers would not see employees from the center for 8-12 hours, I would have to call to have medication distributed,(there is a window of time that patients can receive medication if they don't it will be skipped til next scheduled dose) They would run out of medication ( family member went a few days without) when I complained about it they used someone elses medication ( this is against the law) the food was horrible and when asked for extra told that they could not have more due to the expense. When complaints were made to the facility I then felt like the caregivers took it out on my family member by going in loudly in the middle of the night hourly and woke them up intentionally. When they first open the Nurse that was in charge was great, when I asked for things they were handled (she would do things herself to help meet the needs of patients). She left and new staff was brought in along with a new director, we also left and I have not heard very good reviews since leaving.

We are truly sorry to hear about your experience at Meadowbrook Memory Care Community. We take seriously the care of our residents and make every effort to have sufficient qualified staff that can meet the needs of all of our residents 24/7. There are occasions when family members hire additional care for acuity level changes, or after a medical event, but it is typically a temporary intervention. Care plans are prepared for the individual needs of each resident and consistent health assessments allow us to monitor for any changes. Medications are securely stored and only administered by nurses and given at the appropriate times for each person. Each resident has their own designated medications. In the case of missing medications, we make sure the resident is cared for first, maintain diligent records and make sure that the Executive Director is aware and able to handle the situation promptly, according to state regulations. That said, since your review, we have a hired a new administrative team that is outstanding and continues to incorporate excellence of care as they serve residents and families. We are truly sorry for your experience and wish the best for your family.

I visited a family member that is a resident at the Meadowbrook. I was not impressed. This facility is short staffed and the activity director was in my opinion not qualified to care for these residents. I understand that the state auditors have been in twice but yet there has been no improvement. I am grateful to the few that are caring for my family member. I have seen the spouse of my family member spend much of her time feeding him and other residents. in a case of being shorthanded the director of the facility should be assisting instead of staying in his office.

Meadowbrook Memory Care is close to my home. It's a really good facility. The rooms are really nice and big. It's only a year old, so it's really nice. Mom is in a semi-private, and there's plenty of room for everything. They have lots of activities, like different parties. They take good care of Mom. Everything is really good. She's been in a lot of facilities, and this is the best one. It really felt comfortable with her being there.

My great aunt is at Meadowbrook Memory Care for two months now. We chose it for her because it suited her needs. She has a slight case of dementia and they provide excellent care of patients with Alzheimer's and dementia. She shares a room there and the room is spacious. The place has just opened last February so it's a brand new facility and it's a very nice facility. They got a TV room and two dining areas which are really nice. They have a walking trail. They also have security there. The food is great. I am very pleased with the quality of care there.
