My mother-in-law is in here. I visited several places and when I went in, everyone was very nice and cordial, but for some reason, that place just gave me the impression that they were all very caring. For one thing, it wasn't just the fact they were caring. It was the residents there that made me feel at home also. They all would just pass by me and start talking to me. That impressed me more than anything as far as the rest of them. All of the people just were so, so friendly, the staff, residents, everyone. That's how my mother-in-law is. She talks to everyone and I said she will love this place and she does. They provide three meals a day and snacks during the daytime. I ate with her the first night and we had an awesome meal of barbecued chicken wings and it was awesome. She goes at least to two meals a day. She chose a studio because she doesn't really have a lot and she absolutely loves that she has a backdoor that goes to a patio. That sold her as much as the people being so sweet and so nice. They have exercise classes and they have all kinds of games. Her main thing was they do have a church service on Wednesday. Even last night when I went to visit her, she made me take a bite of her taco salad and it was good. Everything looks really good. I visited several of the rooms too, and they were all really nice.

The lady that showed me around Asher Point Independent Living of Arlington was nice and showed me everything. It was on the first floor and I was impressed. I got back to my apartment that I live in now and this apartment is much bigger than that one. My other concern was I've got a chihuahua and we have a little routine here. I just open the door, he runs out and comes back, and if he sees somebody, he barks. If we were at that place and any place like that, we're inside where there's a hallway and there are people next door and all over the place and my dog couldn't handle that. I'm not going to put him through that at his age. The living room was small. The only person I've met was the one who takes people on a tour and deals with them, who was awesome. In my older life now, I wouldn't want to be in a place with 75 other occupants that close. You've got staff and even though it's free for meals, you'd go down there and there are maybe 50 people. I wouldn't be comfortable with that, but that's just me. I talked to a couple of people and everybody seemed to be very content there. They had a movie room and a place for you to play cards. They told me they had plenty of things that people could do. The staff offered to bring me a meal over my apartment here, and I said no. You don't pay electricity. You don't pay cable. You don't pay for anything. I was very impressed with that. The only thing you have to do, because they clean and they do everything, is your laundry and the washers and dryers are free. All your needs are taken care of. I saw their cafeteria and people were sitting down and eating. Their dining area was comfortable. It was certainly large enough. I didn't see anything that was negative at all.

My wife and I visited the Asher Point Independent Living of Arlington and I thought the grounds and the upkeep on the outside were outstanding. It's very clean, the grass was very neatly cut and edged, and all the bushes were trimmed up nicely. The landscape was just pleasant to look at. The first room we went in had a big stain on the carpet and I thought that was not conducive for what we were going to be paying. We went to another room that was basically the same size as the one with the stain and that was nicer. However, if they're going to show one room with a big stain on the carpet, I think one would have to worry about that a little bit. The lady that assisted us there was very nice and very outstanding. We did not sample any food but the dining area was very nice. It was very pretty, very well laid out, neat, and clean.

We have chosen here for my mother. The residents were all engaging with one another and with the staff. They were playing games, and they were smiling. The staff was warm and understanding of being in the position I was in as far as putting Mother into a facility. It was clean, it felt like home, and it was nice. It was calm. It was not an uppity wine and cheese type of place. It was just a nice community of people. I enjoyed that. Because it's an independent living, they have apartments. My mother would have a balcony if she was on the second floor or a small garden area of her own that she could use. She wouldn't have to cook, she could have meals prepared for her. It was exactly the support that we needed for her.

I toured and it's really good; the residents seem like they're very happy in there. It seems like an active community. It was clean and nice. They got a nice dining room. They do have somebody that comes in and do haircuts, beauty treatment, stuff like that. They do have a shuttle service that runs out to various locations, grocery stores. They do some tours of things to see in the area. It's homey, I would give it a five-star.

I toured and it was nice. They had nice rooms, and I would have preferred a full kitchen, but they had a kitchenette, and they had a delightful dining area. It wasn't all in a city location, it was in an area where you had a lot of grass surrounded by some woods behind it. There are greenery and places to walk without being encompassed in buildings, and you can interact with some of the people there. Everybody was friendly. They had apartments that weren't considered a one-bedroom because it didn't have a separate bedroom. They had a kitchenette with a little sink and a little refrigerator. I didn't get to observe any activities, but I remember them pointing out that they had a beauty salon, places to eat or to hang out, and they have a library. They supply meals, but you're welcome to fix yourself something, but they do supply three meals a day.

First of all, I love this place, and the people are great. I've lost a lot of weight before coming here. I can't believe how every mile is wonderful. I feel so blessed to have found this. You go to your room at night and feel so blessed to be with such wonderful people. We played games and we became friends quickly with people easily. You won't be sorry to be here with such wonderful people.

It was great. If and when we do make a decision, that will probably be the route we'll go. We liked the setup. It was very clean, they were very friendly, and the residents seemed to be well taken care of. The staff who we worked with did a great job. She knew the facility and she has followed up since then, so I think the staff there was awesome.

It had a gym, but the activities were limited. The rooms were good and very nice. The staff was OK, and we were invited, but we did not try the food. They had a coffee area and family room.

The apartments were excellent. For a studio, it was spacious. They have outside entertainment that comes in, they have Bingo, and they have a craft room. One of the nice things they have is a Veterans Memorial Wall. The dining area was very nice. The person that showed us around was excellent.

I am living here and my experience is mostly good. I have a small room that they clean every day. We have different activities, like bingo, dominoes, and lots more. We have an exercise room and a library. You can have a TV in your room if you want it. The staff is very friendly and very nice. The food is good and has a good variety. The people are fantastic and care about you.

It was a very new facility. I was impressed with the layout of the facility as well as its general appearance although I did not feel that I fit in very well there. It was not anything specific. It was just that there weren’t many people within my own age group. They all seemed much older than me, and it was simply difficult to relate. However, the staff was extremely courteous. Even though I was just visiting, they did very well at attending to whatever needs I happened to have because I spent the lunch hour there with them. The largest amenity that I noticed was the open area where everyone could congregate. The dining area was adjacent to the lobby, and it was immaculate.

It was a nice facility, and the food was good. The staff was very helpful. The accommodations were more than adequate; the rooms were nice, adequately sized, and clean. The communal area was nice and all conducive. The dining room was very spacious, the food was good, and you could order from the menu. Pretty nice place. They take them to trips, out to dinner once a month, and to other different things.

They serve three meals a day; she partakes in it, but sometimes she complains about the food, as sometimes it’s good and sometimes not. But she enjoys the staff. She lives in an apartment that really doesn’t have a great view and a sidewalk, but other than that she seems pretty happy there. She has group of people that she does things with. She is active in most of the activities like bingo, card games, and board games. Somebody comes, cleans, and changes the bedsheets.

It was very nice. People are very friendly. It looked like the people living there were happy, and they were well taken care of. They had a lot of activities. It seemed like a very good place. I talked to the staff. They were very helpful. They gave me all the information I asked for and more. They treated me like royalty. I was very happy.

I visited and we came across it using the Caring.com website. They were very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are very small which is one of the reasons we didn't choose them. The staff is wonderful. We really like the staff. The dining is very open, and we really liked that. The food is good too. There is only one elevator in the place. That is another reason we did not choose that one. If something happens to the elevator, we thought it would be an issue. We didn't like that the room was small, and we didn't like that there is one elevator in the whole place. As for activities, they pretty much have the same things as the other facility. They have outings, crafts, dominoes, cards, and piano. The friendliness of the staff and the openness of the dining room impressed me.
