We chose Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living, Arlington for mom because there's a little bit of convenience. They offered us what I was looking for as far as amenities and the things they do for us. The cost is also just bearable. In general, the staff is very attentive. They have been trying hard to work with us, and I appreciate that. The food is pretty good. There is a nice selection. Mom'a room is set up well. It is very nice, very functional, and works well with her needs. In the rest of the facility, there are multiple sitting areas and visiting areas. They have outdoor courtyards, where you can go outside if you'd like.

I toured Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living, Arlington. It's very clean, very orderly, very friendly, and inviting. The staff was very thorough and very professional. I was very pleased with her. We checked the dining area. Everything looked very appetizing and well-presented. They've got art. They've got movies. They have a library. They occasionally do outings. There's just lots of stuff to do and people to interact with.

I toured Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living, Arlington for my mom. The facilities were clean, and the residents seemed very happy. The food menu looked very good for seniors. The dining room was clean, and I saw the residents interacting with each other. I think the staff ratio was good. I saw the craft room, and the bedrooms looked nice.

I went to Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living, Arlington. A young lady took me for a tour. The only room they had was an efficiency room, so that wasn't going to do. That is one that we've checked off the list. I didn't care for it. Their price ran anywhere from $1,000 to $1,300 more. They had a stove and an oven, and what they did is that they took away one of the meals, so they only got two meals a day as opposed to three, and I just didn't see the warranty in that. They had some pluses though. They had 24-hour monitoring there. At other places, they have a staff there up until 7:00. But that's not a deal breaker for me. Proximity wise, it's an easy drive from where I live to get to my mother than it would be to get to the other place. However, it was on a main road in an area. If my mother wanted to go out and go to the store and do something, I would be very concerned about her being on that road in that area. For those reasons, I didn't even show them to her. The people there were very nice. It's not a bad place. I think for the money and for where I want my mother to be, the other place is better. The young lady took me on a very thorough tour and showed me the property and everything like that. It wasn't like she was hiding anything. It's very well maintained. When you walk through, you see all kinds of staff people, from secretaries to groundskeepers, and everybody was very polite, nice, and helpful.

I like that Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living, Arlington is very attentive. When mom presses the button, they're always there in 10 minutes or less. They have a community that's kind of all-inclusive. So, there aren't different levels of care. It's kind of one price that covers everything, which is very affordable, and there's no lack of quality due to that type of rate plan. Mom has a studio deluxe and it's quite big compared to the sizes of some of the other ones that I viewed. She has a kitchenette with a fridge, a sink, a microwave, and a good size area for the bed, her chair, her TV, and her dresser. Everything fits fine. Maintenance was very helpful with everything she asked about. Like she had trouble getting the TV, working with her hands and her remote and the maintenance man came, helped her, and showed her how to get the TV where she wanted it and what channel she needed. They do the laundry and the housekeeping, and it's all very good. The dining area is also nice and clean. The tables are decorated nicely. It's kind of a restaurant-style. They probably don't have as many choices as some of the other places, but my mom's happy with the food. They have bingo once a week, church every Sunday, singing, puzzles, activities, parties, and outings.

I'm very, very happy with Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living Arlington. It's a very nice community. Meals are gourmet and I'm really happy with that. I'm upstairs, so I take an elevator, and we have activities and outings. I got a bigger room than what I had at the other place, and the staff is excellent. I love them all. They're all wonderful people and very professional. The food is top-of-the-line cuisine. They've got excellent and savory food. They have two dining areas. They've got Walmart trips and Goodwill trips, and the other night we went to see the Christmas lights. They have all kinds of puzzles and games and I played bingo today. It's an excellent living community. They're family and cordial. I like it a whole lot. We got three gourmet cooks. The food is savory and I keep complimenting them. If you don't like what's on the menu for lunch and supper, they got alternates and you got to pick them up before 10:00. There are convenience stores that I can walk to. The only problem is they go to a grocery store at Wal-Mart, which is smaller. I have to take a yellow cab to the super Walmart over by AT&T Stadium. They do my laundry and housekeeping. This is a very good place for seniors.

We chose Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living, Arlington for our father because it's faith-based. The staff was wonderful. It was very nice and clean. There's no pool, but they have a library, a dining room, and gathering areas. It's a full amenity, and the price was great. They had three different floor plans, a studio, a studio deluxe, and a one-bedroom. They have first and second floors. We're moving in today. It's a wonderful experience. I went to a couple more, but Bethesda Gardens offers the most for my father.

My mother will be moving into Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living, Arlington. Their service has been amazing, and they're very helpful. It's clean and very friendly. They go above and beyond. They're very informative. They have been understanding when things have happened. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and comfortable. They do bingo and paintings. They have an actual activity person that plans things for daily activities. I did not get to try the food, but all of the residents seemed happy with it. I saw two patio areas that had chairs.

I went to Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living, Arlington. The people there were awesome. They were very helpful and very informative. Everybody that work there was awesome. I even spoke with some of the residents, and they were great, too. They gave me a lot of information, and told me how awesome the place was and how very attentive the staff is to their needs, so I thought that was great. The rooms were very clean. They had a family room. Everybody was out doing something. They had a nice little garden area. They had a nice library, and with the library, they had a chess table for people to play chess. So that was nice.

I toured Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living, and I really liked it. It is one of my top choices for my parents. It's an older facility, but it's clean and well-kept. The people who lived there seemed happy. The people I met seemed very good and helpful. I wasn't able to try the food, but it looked like everyday food. Right now where my parents are at, they have a lot of high dollar seafood and shrimp and pretty fancy looking meals. The food here looks more like down to earth food that people would be eating in normal life. I thought it was very clean and seemed very, very well maintained for as old of a building as it is. They have a nice list of amenities and a nice room for doing crafts, bingo, and all that kind of stuff.

Bethesda Gardens is our favorite. The staff was excellent. They had gone out of their way to be proactive at reaching out to us. I had my aunt out for a doctor's appointment yesterday, so they arranged for us to come over to their facility and have their director assess her mentally. My aunt has high-functioning dementia, so I don't think a memory care unit would be good for her, so they talked and assessed her, and they thought she would fit into their community well. We were very pleased with their facility and with the staff. I have asked more questions, about which I have not received an answer yet as of this morning, but I've been very impressed with them. The apartments were beautiful, and the rooms were small, which is just the case with all of these types of facilities. We did not get into the community part of the facility because of the COVID restrictions, but we saw their outdoor patio, which was nice, and the parking area was immaculate, too.

The staff was exceptional! They were very accommodating and thorough in our tour. They made us feel like our loved one would be in capable hands and that means the world to us. We were skeptical about the facility prior to visiting but we were pleasantly surprised! We were really impressed with the layout and the community areas. I think we found the right place! Thank you guys!

My sister is a resident of Bethesda Gardens. The room is perfect for her. It's about half the size of what she had previously and more manageable for her personality. The building has four quarters and each quarter is called a neighborhood. Two neigborhoods have their meals in one dining area and two other neighborhoods dine in another area, and that was so much better because there's not as much noise. The staff is wonderful. They have recently undergone a management change. The new manager came in last Monday, and I had an issue that was taken care of completely. They have a lot of activities. Since she has been here, she has had a total knee replacement and neurological therapy, which has gotten rid of the spasm that she had. I've been taking her here, there and everywhere for physicians, and they've been able to improve her. They have a huge activity room with all kinds of things to do. They have somebody come in the room and pick up every day and do the laundry.

Bethesda Gardens is a very nice community. The apartments were very nice. There was no smell when you come in the front door, and the lady I met with was very friendly. It was a good experience. Even their price was really good for assisted living. The dining area was nice and could be a little well-lit, but they offered three meals a day which was a plus for me. I talked to the activities director about them doing physical exercise, and they showed me a little exercise area where they have their group exercise classes, which I was happy with.

I like Bethesda Gardens but I don’t think I can use it because I’m in a wheelchair, and their building is not very kind to wheelchairs. I looked at a studio. The staff and the room were fine. The people were friendly.

Bethesda Gardens was very bright and nice. She showed the room area where he would be, and the lady that showed us around was really nice. I liked the feel of it. If he could have moved in to an assisted living, I think I would have picked that one.

Bethesda Gardens was a bigger facility, and it was right in the middle of town. It was close to where we live, so my wife would have been able to visit more often. The place was only half full. It was built nicely and had nice staff. The person there was nice and knowledgeable.

Bethesda Gardens is an older place where we didn't see the rooms. It was very expensive. It has been repainted several times, so we could see evidence of wear, and the grounds and everything just looked older. The main thing that turned us off there was the expense. They cost over $3,000 simply for independent living.

Bethesda Gardens is an older property but I liked it. The layout of the common areas was a little closed-in. The two dining rooms were small, cozy, and intimate. I loved the apartment but the hallways were narrow and not quite easy to maneuver. The facility was very well-maintained though. I can see that they have a number of activities in their calendar. The staff were very pleasant.

I went to Bethesda Gardens for my mother-in-law. It was OK, but it just wasn’t as warm as we wanted it. It was homey, though. I did see some activities. There were some people playing cards. The beauty salon was open, so there were people getting their hair done.

I visit and assist my dad about four times per year. Overall, he likes it here. Strengths of services: Mostly caring staff; food is excellent especially beef, fruits, and vegetables; very good activities offered to residents. Weaknesses: High turnover of staff; difficulty in retaining a nurse.

The Arkansas House in Arlington was one of the assisted living facilities we decided to check out for our aunt. We really liked how well the outer grounds were tended "“ with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy their outdoor living environment safely. Seniors could be seen enjoying various social activities, such as games, lively discussions, reading and TV. The comfortable and attractive rooms were also filled with beautiful furnishings. Residents were at varied levels of ambulation and all were very well tended to The casual and formal dining rooms all had very attractive and comfortable furniture. Both rooms are used for regular dining as well as special parties and can be reserved for private parties with loved ones by the residents. The private rooms were all decorated according to individual tastes, and none looked cookie-cutter or the same. Each room was bright with plenty of natural light. The menu featured a variety of nutritious food options. They also prepare favorite dishes and special requests and can accommodate any dietary need. The food all looked appetizing and so did the snacks, which are offered throughout they day "“ every three hours to accommodate certain dietary concerns of the residents, who may also request them any time they like. The residents participate in many trips into the cities for dining at restaurants, visiting the art museums and galleries and taking part in local library discussion, as well as local shopping and culture. Exercise rooms have DVDs and live classes for stretching, aerobics and yoga. Residents also take supervised walks along the grounds with staff. The residents all appear to be very well cared for in a peaceful, yet fun environment by kind, caring and attentive staff.
