My husband was here for rehab. The place was clean and all the employees were so sweet. I visited at different times of the day. I highly recommend this place. The food was good. They even brought me a tray one day. When my husband fell they were right there immediately to help him. They made me feel welcome and treated me like family.

I had my mother here they really took care of us and greeted us at the door when we walked in everyone had smiles and we're happy to see us right away they took us into consideration and asked us questions and asked if we had any they gave us a tour and let us know where my mom would be having her meals And also showed us her room The rooms were very spacious and looked very comfortable my mom enjoyed her time here as did we they let us come whenever we wanted to come and see her she was able to leave her room and visit people she had met there she really enjoyed her time there she said she would have wanted to stay there sooner if we'd of found them earlier so I thank all the lovely staff for staying on top of things and always Making sure she had what she needed and was comfortable I would definitely use this facility again.

Kirkland Court was an old place and kind of outdated, but I've heard good things about how much the staff cares for the people there. The one who took us on the tour would stop and talk to the residents. I've also heard from people that have worked there how much they care for the people. They were trying to do some remodeling when I was there, and the residents were napping in their rooms. The rooms were small.

I had a really bad experience here several years ago when I had rehabilitation after knee surgery and would not recommend this place to anyone. On admission to the facility, I was transferring from the wheelchair to the bed and I nearly fell because the brakes on the bed were not engaged and the bed moved over 12". Were it not for a friend who caught me, I would have fallen and probably injured myself. Their diet was below average and not appealing or tasty; the serving sizes were small and I always felt hungry after eating. My family would supplement my meals with food from home or take-out. I begged for a bath on admission and again on the second day. I finally got one on the third day. By then I had skin breakdown on the folds underneath my breasts and abdomen. Physical therapy assistants were improperly trained on how to safely rehabilitate someone who wears a knee brace. They did not properly tighten and secure my knee brace to prevent the joint from moving when I stood and ambulated with a walker. I argued with them concerning eventually I acquiesced to them and trusted they knew more than i did. However, when I stood and took a step, my knee shifted and dislocated the knee joint. I was not aware of this fact until I had an x-ray during my 2 weeks post-op visit. Due to all these events and conditions, I called my primary care physician. After I explained the situation to him, he arranged for me to leave AMA and continue my physical therapy at home. This all became moot since I was still having knee pain and did not know at that time that my knee was dislocated. It wasn't until my 2 week follow up visit with the orthopedic surgeon did I learn of this fact. He tried to manipulate the joint back into place without any success. I was immediately hospitalized and underwent surgery the next day for another knee revision.. This makes 2 surgeries in 2 weeks. This negative experience has still affected me. If it weren't for family who was there to support me and help me when I needed it, i'd probably would have suffered a significant injury from a fall. Fortunately I had a physician who believed my horror story and arranged for me to continue out-patient physical therapy at home after the second knee surgery, I strongly urge people to go somewhere else. This place provides poor care, has less than qualified employees, and has outdated or inferior medical equipment; especially the beds. It's a sad, sad place and I feel sorry for those who are there and can't speak for themselves.
