My father moved into Bristol Park Amarillo 3 weeks ago. We chose it because it felt a lot more open. The whole place is clean and new. The people that work there are nice, polite, and caring. They have recreation five days a week, twice a day. They play cards and dominoes. They have puzzles, and arts and crafts. They go out to restaurants and eat once a month. They go shopping, and they take them out to various places around town. The dining hall is set up like a restaurant where they come in and they can order what they want off the menu. The meals are very nutritious and balanced. They have 2 different choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If they don't like that, they have an alternate menu that stays the same throughout the week.

When I first toured Bristol Park, I felt it was the right place for my mom. I loved the newer facility. Upon our move in date the room was filthy, it had an ant infestation, the rack in the closet was falling off the wall, the toilet and air unit were not working. I should have changed my mind at that point. It has been non stop issues for four months. The staff is lazy and rude. They don't clean the room. There have been time my mom has fallen and no one responded. They messed her medication up multiple times and forgot to notify hospice when refills were needed. They messed up her meals, forgot to bring dinner several times and served spoiled shrimp. In October we were overcharged 5100.00 and they said it would be applied to the next month, they could refund it. They have fought bugs and ants. I finally went and sprayed myself. The nurses are very rude. THey have made the decision to lock the door at 5pm and no one can have the code. Meaning my mom isn't able to go for walks or outside, because she can't get back in and it takes forever for someone to open the door. Staff has forgotten to bring silverware with her dinner trey and then told her they didn't provide it. THe staff has stated they have such a turn over that no one gets properly trained and no one knows the rules or expectations. Staff has refused to clean the room or change bedding. I have been so disappointed in this facility and the employees. As a full time caregiver and only caregiver for my mom I was trusting this home with my only living family. I stressed how important it was for me to find the right place due to my own health concerns and trying to find a place we felt cared for. They said all the right things and made it look and sound so perfect. They just can't back up what they claim. There has since been an investigation opened on th Bristol Park facility in Amarillo. The Ombudsman has received and responded to several complaints. We have found several other amazing options through independent care homes. It is one on one care, beautiful homes and less cost.

I toured Bristol Park Amarillo. It was OK. It was nice, and this had to do with the location of the two rooms available. My father has a window that faces the west, and the sun shines in on him, and that means a lot to him. I was trying to find a room that would have a west window. The room they showed was like a studio.

We liked Bristol Park Amarillo. My father liked it as well. It was clean and very nice. It seemed like a good place. The staff was great. They had a little workout area, a place where they played cards and did different things, and they had church on Sundays. During football season and stuff, they'd have pizza and watch football games in an area.

Bristol Park Amarillo was well-kept and new. The director was very good, pointing out things that we need to look at closely and I appreciated his honesty and the things that he told us about in looking for a place. The cost was just too much. It being brand new, it's well maintained.

Well, let me just say that our family has been very happy with the Bristol Park at Amarillo Assisted Living & Memory Care "community" choice for my father. He has been living there for a month now and he enjoys the freedom of having his own space while still knowing there is assistance readily available when he needs it. The staff has been positively helpful in all aspects of his needs and in communication with us throughout his stay. Bristol Park is ideally located in proximity to all his health care needs and when he requires help getting to appointments, they are there as well. The quality of life at Bristol is evident in many ways. The meals are superb, the rooms are clean and kept clean weekly, there are a variety of activities available for the residents to enjoy, and the quality of life is evident in the residents themselves.

I had a great experience at Bristol Park Amarillo. The staff was very nice and hardworking. He wanted me to consider Bristol Park. I had a meal and it was soy-free and buckwheat free. It was a delightful meal. They can wash your clothes for you and it's included in the charge. They have someone come in to clean your room and take out the trash. You can bring in a small refrigerator if you want, but no microwaves because they don't want you to eat in your room. They had a courtyard. The staff was very pleasant and worked hard to try to get my business. He pushed it and said, "I will give you three months free, one in the first quarter, one in the second quarter, and one in the third quarter."

Bristol Park Amarillo was a very, very facility. It was very large. They seemed to have tons of activities for the residents. The staff that we talked to were very engaging and energetic. They have several different options of rooms available. We just looked at a one-bedroom and a studio. They have two bedrooms available, but I didn't look at one of those. They were adequate. They were very large and well laid out. They have an exercise room, a library, and a media room. They have a lot of different activities going on to engage the residents. I didn't notice anything that required attention with regard to maintenance.

Bristol Park Amarillo was extremely open and airy. There was a lot of room for the residents to roam. They had two large courtyards and they were very well-kept and very nice. We visited both assisted living and memory care. We were introduced to a couple of the staff, and then Shannon, who did the tour, was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. It was very homey. I spoke to a couple of residents, and they were very happy there. Everybody seemed like family. It had a very big family atmosphere.

The people at Heartis Amarillo were very friendly. It's a cheerful community and there were a lot of amenities. They have a lot of opportunities for the residents, like a hairdresser, and some really nice spots. Their dining room was pretty fancy and nice. They're very good about answering questions and they like to get a sense of the family and the residents. I thought they did a really nice job of that. The person who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable. The facility itself was fairly new, clean, and smelled good.

Heartis Amarillo is very nice. I'm leaning very strongly to this community. I really like it because of the way it is laid out, and I like the size of the rooms. You could get a 1-bedroom or a 2-bedroom that has a little kitchen. I like that as well. I like the people that assisted me. It's a positive meeting with them. Heartis Amarillo is the top of the line. They have activities. They even have a room for if they wanted to pot some plants. They have several areas where they can do different things. It is a very active program. I think they are into Montessori-type things to keep their minds functioning as best as you can get. They have a barbershop, a hairdresser ,and a pedicurist, and all of them are in the community. I really like that.

This place is a joke. There is nothing going on at this facility. The workers are rude and uninviting and anytime i asked for the manager someone would tell me they were gone. I would never want my mother here.

Heartis Amarillo was a beautiful and brand-new facility, but I don't think they have single rooms available, only double. The woman who showed us around was knowledgeable and friendly. The place was brand new, so it's appealing. The layout was OK, but I would have had to get directions to get back where I needed to at first until you get used to it.

Heartis Amarillo was good. It was clean, nice, and completely new. It was really awesome in that respect. They had little efficiency rooms that I saw with a shower and a private bath. It came with a refrigerator, but no microwave. Because it was so brand new, I did not see any residents around or anything like that. It was pretty quiet. The staff said they had cards, bingo, and more activites like that. I would recommend it.

I like Heartis Amarillo. They had a greenhouse, so that the people at memory care can do some work, which is a very good concept. It's very clean and the people are very nice. They have a movie theater where they can watch movies and play games. They have three meals a day. The staff is very friendly, very nice, and knowledgeable. They have two different kinds of rooms: one that opens out into the courtyard and one that does not have courtyard access from the room. They have someone that can take them to doctors' appointments.

We placed Mom in Heartis Amarillo's memory care. Their rooms are really nice, big, and spacious. I like that it looks like an apartment community and that it's very clean because it’s a brand-new facility. The staff is just awesome. The food is very good. We are very happy.

Heartis Amarillo was very elegant and brand new. It was for people who were still very mobile and could take care of themselves. The apartments were like efficiency apartments.
