We visited Lyndale Abilene Senior Living, and it was very beautiful. It was not the most expensive but it was more expensive than what my friend eventually chose. They have good policies and they work well. The person that toured us around was very positive and very pleasant, not pushy at all. We didn't try the food but we talked to a couple of residents about it and they recommended it. Their apartments have most appliances like a refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. We were there in the morning and there were several people out just enjoying visiting, and they had benches and rockers outside so it was quite pleasant.

We were very impressed with Lyndale Abilene. They both have independent living and assisted living and that's what we're looking at. It's very cheerful, bright, and it's the only place we found that had a kitchen instead of a kitchenette in all of Abilene. The personnel was very sweet and very nice. It had a little more amenities too. They had an exercise place, a large library, and a puzzle room. My mom likes to plant and they have two courtyards there, which is good, and she could bring her plants and do gardening. They get to have a separate apartment, with a living room and a bedroom, and the kitchen was very large for that small space. It also had a little beauty shop where she could go and just pay, they let them go outside to eat or go to different places like Family Dollar, do arts and crafts, play games, and a separate place that you could use if you wanted to eat with your family members. If you had a birthday or something, they would treat you and pay for it too. That was very nice. Everybody was just really friendly. Even the residents seemed happy. They all had smiles on their faces. They had samples of food and they looked really good as well, and if the residents don't like what they're feeding, they can order from a menu and they have a choice of two meals. They are remodeling the place also, so they're painting it from tan to white. It looks so clean now and it's looking more up-to-date.

Lyndale Abilene Senior Living was very nice. It was very well kept. We didn't interact with the staff much at all except with the manager or whoever runs the place. That's the only person we talked to. Everything else was very clean and very well maintained.

My visit to Lyndale Abilene Senior Living was positive, though not as positive as the other place I went to. The staff did not seem quite as involved in the clients or residents' lives, and they seemed to have a high turnover. The food was not that great. The dining area is now closed, but I got to see it, and it was nice. I don't know if they opened it up now. I saw an efficiency room, which was OK, it was plenty. It had very small closets, but the bathroom was nice. I also saw a one-bedroom with a full kitchen as opposed to the efficiency's kitchenette.

Lyndale Abilene was very well-developed and very nice, and the people are very professional. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable. I got to visit all the activity rooms and the dining rooms. It was all very nice and really good for what they're used for. Their dining area was very nice and they have lots of meal options.

Lyndale Abilene was a really nice facility. It had a complete separate building for memory care. The rooms were nice but small. It was clean and well maintained. The staff was very nice. They had a movie room, a library, meeting areas, and separate dining rooms for families if they want to come. The room had just a cabinet with a microwave and a small refrigerator and you could make coffee or snacks. I liked the food. They had three meals a day.

Lyndale Abilene was very nice, but it was huge. I was afraid that my friend would get to where she couldn't get around because she doesn't walk very well. It was clean and the person who took us around was very nice, but we did not like it because it's so big. Every staff member we encountered was very helpful. The dining area was very nice. They were serving when we were there and the food looked appetizing. They had activities going on everywhere. There were people playing cards and dominos, some were watching TV in the TV rooms, and some were doing some artwork in one room.

Lyndale at Abilene was very clean and very nice; I liked it very much. The rooms were plain, but they were nice and clean, and they were bigger than most. The dining area was very nice. We didn’t eat anything except the scone, and it was OK. I didn’t have contact with very much of the staff, but those that I did were very nice.

Lyndale at Abilene was very good. We were supposed to put my parents in but because my mom needed 24-hour service, we couldn’t use them. I thought it was a great, little community for retired people. It was top notch. The staff took us around, showed us everything, showed us the room my parents might be in, and were very good. The layout of the dining area was very nice, like a restaurant. Waiters would come to your table and ask what you want. They had somebody talking to a group of people, and I saw people playing cards. I also saw people outside working in a little garden area. It appeared to have a lot of activities for their residents.
