Loving Granddaughter of a Wonder Woman

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This is a horrible place!! 0 stars is my review. With exception of one smiling worker (Colbi) the rest of them are miserable lazy people. I visited my grandmother for 3 full days in August. Besides coming in first thing in the morning and last thing before night and to drop off meals - they are all fairly well neglected. The facility was only half full. There was no excuse. Her roommate buzzed for help several times while I was there. An hour later nothing. I went to the nurses station (most were sitting at the desk stuffing their faces with food) and was told we are busy - someone will be around soon. Nobody stops by through out the day to fill water or ask if they need anything. Nobody smiles (I know not the best environment to work in but if you can’t handle it don’t take the job). They texted my mother “it is time” when my grandmother took a downward turn. Who does that!?!?!!? The doctor only comes around once a week or less. Do not take your loved one here!!!!

I visited this facility

Wood Presbyterian Home was very friendly, and it was very clean. They weren't trying to hide anything. The other thing is on the same site is a nursing home, so when my uncle gets to where he needs a nursing home, he can stay right here in the same facility. I saw all three levels of care. They have an exercise room, they have nurses on staff, they have a library, they have community rooms, they have a dining room, and then they have an outside courtyard.

Wood Presbyterian Home is a very nice, good place with very nice, courteous staff who are very good at taking care of my mom. It's very inexpensive compared to other places.

Mom is satisfied with the Wood Presbyterian Home (The Lodge at Wood Village) and she has made a lot of friends there. She has a lot of complaints about the food because she says it's very bland. It's prepared in the nursing home and then they cart them over to the assisted living area, so it cools down. They have Bingo and Church services on Sunday mornings, but other than that, there aren't really any other activities offered. The staff is wonderful, very kind, very sweet, and they check on her and take good care of her.

My parents are together in Wood Presbyterian Home. We are very impressed. We go there unannounced, and when we walk in, the place is really nice. It has three or four activity rooms and a sun room where the patients can go and look outside. I also like that they are closed in. It is very clean and does not smell. So, far my parents are very pleased with the service. I will highly recommend it. The social service lady is great to work with. They are now in the long-term care, so the price went down a little. Dad says the room is very nice.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother-in-law is in Wood Village and pretty happy there. They provide hot meals and a nursing staff on-site who administer medications at the same time every day. She lives in what they call a two-bedroom cottage on the campus with a roommate, and it's very nice living conditions. They have an aide that comes in 4-6 hours a day who helps them with anything like laundry and shopping. We've been very pleased with it. The aides work with them, walk them every day to do exercise, sees to it that they eat the food, and, most importantly, they see that they take the medication correctly at the given time.

Wood Rehabilitation was a very clean facility which was very important. I was close to the facility so I saw that the residents got the proper care and attention. I would highly recommend this facility.
