My father was in Wharton Nursing Home. It was really nice, and my mom and sister were really happy with it. My dad received really good care there. We had some meetings with them, and they were great. The staff was wonderful, kind and caring, and every time we called with a question or whatever, they had time to talk to us. They were very responsive and very good. He's back home now.

My husband was in rehab at Uplands Village Wharton Nursing Home. It was fair, but because of Covid, I couldn't get in to see their long-term nursing facility. The thing that bothered me most was their lack of staff. The care was not great and they had a low staff number. There's a lot of things left undone. The nurses' aides didn't seem to be well trained. There was a variety of food, but it was not attractive and it's rarely hot. The staff didn't have an interest or the forethought to open containers that an elderly person with limitations can handle, like milk containers and different things like that, that's even hard for us to open. His room was fine. In the rehab, there was nothing in the way of activities. It's pretty well maintained and therapy was good. He had physical and occupational therapy there.

Was there for 20 days and had a horrible experience. Staff was rude, they basically threw me out because they said they did not think I was making progress fast enough although I was trying as hard as I possibly could. Very sad place to be!

My mom is in Wharton Nursing Home. They are wonderful and have been really good to Mom. The physical, speech, and occupational therapies, nurses, and food are good. The facility is extremely nice. I cannot say enough about them. They are great and do a good job.

My relative is in Wharton Nursing rehab right now, and it's very nice. When we went in yesterday, everybody was very helpful and friendly and they seemed to know their job and they seemed to know working with dementia patients. So far, I'm impressed with Wharton Nursing Home. He's got a semi-private room with a half wall. The food last night was just a sandwich and fruit cocktail and some vegetables, and they had a root beer float kind of social.

The people at Wharton Nursing Home gave us a free tour of the place. The atmosphere was very homey. They have different cottages. Their rooms are very spacious. They do plan meals for their patients, but they offer more choices. I was there right after breakfast and so the patients were just seated in the living room, so I was unable to see any activities.

My mother was a resident of another nursing home here in the county for a number of months, while she was on the waiting list for Wharton. The care she received there was far inferior to the care she received once she was transferred to Wharton. The staff goes well beyond what is expected to make each resident's stay, whether short-term or long-term, as comfortable as possible. The facility is clean and well cared for, as are the residents. There were many nurses there who made it a point to bring Mom things that she wished for, whether it be something as simple as bringing her favorite lotion in, to cooking her a home-cooked dinner. I also witnessed this being done for other residents during my visits. If there were ever any questions or problems, the staff members were always quick to address these issues and were always available to us, as family members. Personally, if I ever need to use a nursing facility again, I would not hesitate to contact Wharton again.
