I have had multiple friends receive the best care during their time in this facility. They give the most personable care to each patient in this facility that I have seen. The staff goes out of their way to provide clean rooms and a family friendly atmosphere for the patients and visitors. The facility is always clean during my visits. I would recommend them to anyone looking for short or long term care.

My wife has been here since April 5th. Having rehab on her leg and arm. Everything has been great with the whole place. Therapy is coming along real well. The food is really good with a large variety. The rooms are adequate for her needs. Most of all is the staff. They have been very caring, knowledgeable and extremely kind. I have nothing negative at all to say about the place. I highly recommend it to anyone that may need something like this in the future.

My aunt is a resident of Smokey Mountain Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center. When she first got in there, it was awful. But I guess that was while COVID was pretty heavy, and they didn't have enough help. The nursing home was quite dirty, but that's been like four months ago and it has gotten better. Some of the staff are nice, some aren't, but most of them are decent. Communication is pretty good. Some of the RNs are nice, and some of the ones that are maybe just assistance or whatever that bring their food, some of them aren't. They keep it pretty clean now, but they didn't always. The floor plan is fine. They only get Social Security, which is not very much.

I cannot recommend this facility to anyone at this time. There are not enough nursing assistance to help the residents in a proper manner. At times there are only two nursing assistance to care for 50+ patients. The nurses cannot help because they are busy passing out Pills, signing in new patients, etc. this is an ongoing problem at this facility, call lights are not answered in a proper timeframe due to the lack of nursing assistance.

My aunt was a resident at this facility two separate times. The first stay was in 2009, and it was horrific. There were patients who were denied getting their mail, lab work that was ordered but never done, medical records that were being lost and sent to the family doctor incomplete and infection control issues too many to name. We checked my aunt out after two days. The second stay in 2011 was a completely different issue. The facility was clean, there was a completely new staff who were competent and friendly. They were thorough and professional from top to bottom. It was really like a new place. I hope they continue to make improvements.
