I have spent a little over a month. The building is a building but the staff that work here are what makes it great. I give staff a 10. Nursing Jennifer is amazing so caring. CNAs Tanya and Brenda just to name a few are awesome. Therapy Scottie and Kerry got me back to where I need to be and able to go back home. I would highly recommend Diversicare to anyone needing rehab and nursing needs.

My stepmom will be moving to Diversicare of Oak Ridge. I chose it because they can give the level of care that she needs and all the staff members were very polite. When I went there, I felt very at home. The staff was nice and I like where it's located, it's not so busy. The grounds looked good and it had a beautiful view from the rooms. I haven't tried the food but I was able to look at the menus. They have a lot of activities that you can belong to, and they were very accommodating in trying to help my stepmom get acclimated and get involved in some of the activities. It's located not too far from some medical facilities, and the area around it is up-and-coming, they're building nice restaurants and stuff like that.

My dad was in here for 2 weeks for physical and occupational therapy, The therapists are wonderful. Scottie in particular worked wonders with my dad. My dad came back home a completely different person than he was when he was admitted, in the best way possible.

My husband spent 2 weeks here. The whole staffing personnel that took care of Gary was wonderful. He said the food was good and he was taken good care of. When I went to visit him, he was in good spirits and making positive comments. I appreciated that while I was at work I didn't have to worry. When we came home, I needed to call for follow-up questions and was pleased when I was either able to talk to someone or I got a returned call.

Wonderful nursing/CNA staff. They cared for my mother like she was their own mother. Housekeeping was not very great, but the nurses and CNA's would help keep the room clean. The Administrator was very helpful and answered every question we had. The whole process of admitting my mother was smooth and seamless. The activities, therapy, and other staff members treated my mother with respect and dignity. Many shout outs to the wonderful therapy program they have.

This facility is the worst place a sick elderly person could go to. Especially during Covid-19. The staff is horrible to family that try to check on their family member...they lie about everything..never have the same story twice, always have an excuse for each lie. They never have an MD in house. The NP doesnt want to see their patients when the patient and patients family feel they need to be examined. Will not let patient go to hospital when the patient feels something is bad wrong with them and the family also agrees they need to go. They cant get patients finances straight in a decent amount of time. They food is terrible. I wouldnt send my worst enemy there. When youvask to speak to who is in charge they never call you back. They wont tell what is going on with the patients care course plan because they dont have one!!! This is the worst facility. The employees have zero compassion for the concerned family members! They are very, very rude and so hateful and nasty to you when you call for anything. The worst part is they always tell you a different story about the RULES everytime! This place should be shut down!

My mother is a resident. Management will tell you what they think you want to hear. Much of the staff is lazy. Shortcutts are taken by staff. Place is nasty and things go "missing". Poorly ran facility.

The staff seemed friendly enough though the residents seemed to have lackluster living experiences. Very few seemed to be interacted with positively. The facilities were passably clean but could use a good deal of work in updating.

The facility was neat and tidy. That nursing home smell permeated the air but the cleaning staff were always doing their daily tasks. The rooms were a bit small. There was only one bathroom between two rooms so if fully occupied there was a potential for four people having to rotate its use. There was a nice courtyard that was surrounded on all four sides by the facility. It was very secure and also pretty with its trees and benches. The nursing staff was competent but the facility was understaffed so the workload must have been exhausting. The building seemed sound and it had a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Each room had phone and cable connections. Meals were served three times a day and very special care was taken to meet any needs the patients had regarding medical dietary orders. Also the medication was dispensed with care and the staff strove to make sure the clients took it according to their prescriptions. It is a smaller facility but runs as smoothly as one could hope for what it is.

My mother-in-law was a resident of this facility for six months. There isn't enough staff to take care of the residents (we found that it wasn't unusual to wait thirty to forty-five minutes for the call light to be answered. Additionally, physical therapy wasn't always given on schedule and the food was horrible.

This facility is a smaller nursing home, which is a good thing because it allows the staff to pay much more attention to the residents here. The drawback of Briar Cliff is that it is such an ordeal to get in touch with the doctor when a patient needs an order changed or even in an emergency situation. There has also been an issue with family members of the residents not being informed of a change in patient status or a patient fall. A lot of these issues are simply because of the small number of staff that is on the floor at any given time.
