My brother was moved from St Thomas Midtown to NHC Murfreesboro for long term care and rehab. We received so much help and support from the social worker and bookkeeper in regards to his medicare and getting on medicaid. The rooms were being renovated in much of the facility. The equipment was all in working order. The facility was always clean and we never encountered bad odors. My brother loved the food. As his condition changed so were his dietary needs. The nursing staff was so friendly to him and us all and so helpful to my brother over the year and a half he lived there. The floor nursing supervisor called with updates and reports on any changes in my brothers condition. As his dementia and mental illness worsened, hospice services were recommended. At NHC my brother got the care and assistance he needed at all times as he lived out the remainder of his life. I would choose NHC Murfreesboro should another family member require long term care.

A 5 Star worthy center! Excellent nursing care, meals, therapy department, and more! Rooms are clean and well maintained. Has outstanding activities to keep patients happy and busy throughout the day. Staff is very helpful, attentive, and keep you informed about your loved ones care.

Please do not bring your family members, loved ones, etc. here!!! They food is disgusting I wouldn’t consume it in my last days. There are bugs everywhere!!!! Roaches crawling on the ceiling in the hallways & in the restrooms. And if they are in the hallways I know they’re in the residents rooms. If your loved ones live here please do check ins on them.

Their rooms are decent. They are under staffed and my interactions with them and management was horrible. Maybe one CNA was respectful and caring. They do not care for family’s that are over protective of their loved one. Food seems to be ok.

Don't walk, but run away from this place. It is terrible how our elderly are treated at this facility. The staff really doesn't care and will let your loved one sit in poop and pee for hours before acknowledging them. There is also no coordination of care. I am very disappointed and wish I had never moved my loved one here. I don't normally comment on these things, but this time felt I really should if other families can avoid my loved one's experience.

I would not board my dog here. It may be okay for rehab for people with their wits, but long term care for those that cannot tell their family what's going on, these patients are not properly being cared for. Laying in a wet bed with a soaking wet diaper, not being properly fed and forgetting routine medical procedures does not show proper care. Always using the excuse they are understaffed... hire more people.

My father-in-law was at Nhc Healthcare. It was an older place, but overall, it was good. They were very good in helping us with the transfer from the hospital, so that was fairly smooth. The staff was very good in watching him. At the time, when he came, he was having a hard time walking. He was weak from his ailments. However, I think they did a good job of evaluating his situation for the most part. His room was more of a typical nursing home. He was in a room with two beds. He was there by himself, but it was set up such that it would hold two people. He received occupational therapy as well as physical therapy. They had an exercise room, but I do not remember seeing a library.

My dad was at NHC Murfreesboro for 3 weeks after experiencing a fall caused by a heart attack. Our experience there was great. My dad was treated with respect and his care seemed to be a high priority. I dropped in at all times of day and night and all was well. He loved the food, and OT/PT got him back on track and home in a very timely manner. If we ever need them again, we won't hesitate!

The people are nice at NHC Health Care, and they care about you. The food is good, the rooms were spacious, and he is in a private room. It’s clean and well-kept. They had activities each day, and they offer transportation. I would recommend it.

It seemed that they did not take care of her personal hygiene. Her hair was often not done or it smelled as if she had not had a bath. She had to be fed through a tube. They fed her Ensure. I'm not sure if this is what caused her weight loss but she lost a lot of weight after the accident. Although she can't talk she still knows what you are saying and I got the idea that she wasn't happy with her stay there. Her motor skills are severely impaired but she could answer you yes or no by nodding her head. The questions I asked were geated towards her stay there and although she couldn't tell me what it was I could tell something was wrong and was bothering her.
