Holston Health & Rehabilitation Center is nicer than other places we visited. My father-in-law seems to like it better and the food is better. They provide pretty good care. His room has two beds because he has a roommate, a bathroom, and a TV. The senior place is clean and looks really nice. The staff members seem really friendly, know what to do, and do a good job. There's a library, recreation room, games the seniors can play, church services, and other activities. It looks really nice. There's always room for improvement with regards to the food.

I toured Holston Health And Rehabilitation Center. What I liked best is it's very close to my house. The people were very nice, and all of my family could get there quickly, which is what I wanted. I love the front porch with the rockers, where you can sit out on Sunday afternoons with them and rock in the chairs. The facility was very clean. The room was nice. It was a shared room. They have an activity area. The staff was very nice and they answered all of my questions.

Nursing care is minimal. Poor skin care with bed sores developed. Nursing staffing is short.

I stayed in this facility for approximately forty-five days. I came from the ICU of the University of Tennessee Hospital. I had very severe injuries. If it were not for the Physical Therapy and the Occupational Therapy departments, I would probably not be able to walk without assistance. The nursing care was amazing. The food was Excellent, I still miss that delicious food, oh my gosh! KUDOS to Everyone! I am so grateful to everyone!

The therapy department is excelent. I can't say that much for nursing. My family is on the west side of the building. Those poor cna have about 15 to 16 patients. A person can not have good care with the cna having that many patients. They only had 3 cna. The nurses are nice while in our room but they do not help their cna. It's seems like they should be a team. I really think the nursing staff could improve.

My mother was at Holston Health and Rehab Center for about a month. It was excellent. They did what they were supposed to do. From 7 AM until 7AM, the staff was watching her, and they were really nice. The place was really nice as well. They kept everything clean. I would recommend them.

I don’t think that anybody else has ever worked with my mother as much as they did at Holston Health & Rehabilitation Center. The staff there was excellent, but the food wasn’t good, and her clothes were stolen. The nurses interacted with her a lot and seemed to be sweet people. The management seemed to be more on the professional side and not as loving to her. She couldn’t get up by herself, so she would have to wait on them to come, and there were times that she was waiting 30 to 40 minutes for somebody but there were too many patients per nurse. Mainly when she was there, she was on pureed food, so there wasn’t a lot of variety in what she got; it looked nasty and didn’t smell good.

One of the best facilities I have seen. He was only there 2 months but I was impressed.

Holston Health and Rehabilitation Center was very pleasant and had a very nice atmosphere. Everything was clean. It had no odor. I walked through the entire facility, the patients were well taken care of. The rooms were just as they had been described to me. They had activities. They had a beautiful courtyard. They had nice facilities and different activities in the courtyard. They had different surfaces for them to walk on, and different little areas for them to hold their little therapy outside, which was wonderful.

While this is a very nice facility, they do not have enough nursing staff to properly care for all of the residents that they have living here. I noticed that a lot of the dishes are left in the residents rooms until the next meal comes around, and the staff really seems to be running behind most of the time. With such a large facility, they really need to have a lot more staff in order to ensure safety for the patients.
