I like Brakebill Nursing Home specifically because of how they take care of the safety of the residents. There's enough staff to ensure that each resident stays safe. There are residents that like to walk and you can find staff members, not necessarily standing next to them, but definitely in their vicinity, making sure that they're OK. The residents that were prone to falls were in chairs, so they could still move around. They encourage you to be social. The food is good. They have excellent nurses and the staff is attentive, skilled, and aggressive to the clients. They're very skilled in knowing how to deescalate things. I love the staff there. Everybody's smiling. The residents seem to be at peace and happy. My father's room was OK, and he knew how to quickly find the restroom even with Alzheimer's. I also like the physical therapy there.

At Brakebill, they were very helpful and answered all of my questions. The facility was very nice, but they did not take the pay my mom has. The rooms were very nice, and you can bring some of your own furniture.

My husband was in Brakebill Nursing Home for rehab. I was not happy with the place at all. I did not like it. I did not find it to be a very clean place.

Brakebill has a very caring environment with good quality of care. The staff working there was good. They were good to her and to us. The place was very clean, and there was no smell.

My mother has been at Brakebill several years and her most recent roommate just moved out. When she did, she left with most of my mother's clothing. Since Mom's roommate had Alzhimers' (as well as my Mom), someone had to know what was going on, since her name was on every piece of her clothing. My sister just discovered this today, and mom had a lot of new clothing that has disappeared. Just letting you know!

My mother was a resident for approximately 7 months prior to her death. She needed intensive treatments and therapies. I could not have asked for a better facility. My mother was always clean and out of bed when I would drop by. Though she had mobility issues, she never had any infection or bed sores. The physicians and staff are compassionate, caring, friendly people. Would recommend to anyone.

My Great Grand-Mother was in BrakeBill for nearly two years before she passed away. I was actually very satisfied with this establishment through and through. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful as they were always on top of my great grandmother's needs. They gave you the feeling that your loved one was their top priority and their needs were very important. I can safely say the employees here went above and beyond their normal job responsibilities to make these residents feel as if they are at home. The building itself was nice and had a very homelike atmosphere. There were many social activities for the residents to enjoy, making my great grandmother's stay there even more enjoyable. Overall, the care and therapy that I know all the residents receive at BrakeBill make this a wonderful place to leave your loved one. I would recommend this care facility to anyone who is looking for such an establishment.

This facility is one that has made huge improvements in the last several years. They invested in new equipment, new decorating of the patient rooms, and have even gotten a new menu for the residents. Our family friend who lives at Brakebill says that he could not be more pleased with the facility and all the perks. The staff are always friendly when we visit, and the food really tastes very good.
