I thought I was moving my dad to a short term rehab facility, but Beverly Park Place is more like a nursing home than rehab facility. He was there a little over two weeks. The rooms are bare and not inviting. After I had discussions with admin, they started giving my dad better care and rehab. However, it was too little too late. After being there for 15 days, I moved him to another rehab facility in West Knoxville. A lot of the staff there are good, but they are grossly understaffed. Most of the staff seems to care. I would not recommend this facility. My heart hurts for those patients who are there.

My aunt was at Beverly Park Place. The nurses were caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable. There were no nursing home odors, like I have seen elsewhere. I have recommended this place to another friend!

The place looks like an institution and the hallways were almost always empty. My mom would sit in her soiled diaper for hours and no one ever turned her and left her laying on her back. The food looked horrible and was always cold. A lot of times no one responded when she would push the call button for assistance. I have complained and addressed my concerns numerous times to the staff and supervisor but nothing became of it. My mom was released yesterday and I couldn’t wait to write my review once she got out of there. She was supposed to have ensure but they didn’t offer it there so I had to buy it myself. She would hardly eat the food there so I would buy her snacks and stuff. Half the time they forgot to bring her something to drink with her dinner. She had lost weight the short time she was there. I am sorry I chose this place from the get go. She had to go to rehab after having her leg amputated and I wish I had did the research on this place before I had her sent her there. There was people quitting left and right and was always understaffed. They never once bothered to put my mom in a wheelchair and take her to any of the activities there even though I had insisted numerous times she would have enjoyed. She was lucky if she got a sponge bath once a week. There were a few of the nurses that did interact with the patients but the rest seemed to only be there for the paycheck. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My heart goes out to the patients that are left there with no one coming to visit or speaking on their behalf.

If you are faced with no other decision than to place a loved one here, know that you will have to go every day and help with the daily living tasks, like shaving, grooming, etc. If they need help eating, this ¨program¨ only covers breakfast and lunch, not supper. So, for supper, they are on their own. Some of the staff are really caring, loving people, but they never have enough help. Some of the caring staff are leaving because they are overworked and cannot stand to see the residents being neglected.

Please make sure you go to google and read the reviews of Beverly Park, and then go to Medicare.gov and the reasons they have been cited by the state. I can assure anyone that when my mom was a resident, I complaint about very clear violations in her care - and was ignored. I insisted on two meetings with the absolute head of the facility and recorded them as often you’ll hear “we didn’t know!” Or “that’s not what happened!”. I had to call APS and the state who confirmed my allegations. Please please please look elsewhere. I would not trust any Hillcrest owned facility.

I was at this place for about a month after having knee replacement surgery. Awesome staff and they were a lot of help to me with my physical condition and my mental health. They did crafts with us and provided excellent care. One of the best there was Willa a nurse on staff there. She was very good at what she did and a lot of fun.

Beverly Park Place Health And Rehab-Hillcrest is very competent. It does not smell when you first walk in like some nursing facilities do. It is very clean. The staff is very friendly and very nice. We were probably there 2 to 3 times a week to visit my mother and so we see them regularly. They all know us and they speak to us when we come in. They keep us up to date about anything that we need to know. We've been there when she's had dinner and the meals looked really good. She does activities, too. They play bingo, have a manicurist come in and do their nails, and a beautician that they can get their hair done.

1. Floor and room need some TLC (new paint would help). 2. Food is terrible. I have food brought here from my apartment. 3. Staff tells residents how overwhelmed they are. 4. Therapist, Taylor, got me outside on a beautiful day! 5. If you enjoy cable TV, reading (fiction), coloring, these activities are offered.

My sister is in Beverly Park Place Health And Rehab. It's very bare-bones; that was my first impression and it still is. They're very understaffed, though I know that's true in most places. Sometimes when my sister pushes the call button, she might have to wait a good time before someone is able to come. When meals are being served during those times, there's almost nobody available to answer call buttons because everyone seems to be serving meals. There are certain things that have to be done every day, like somebody has to deliver pills; there are a lot of times when everybody is really busy. So that's been difficult. They have activities, and they do those in the dining room. I've actually played bingo a couple of times. They have ice cream socials or word games. It took us a while to learn when the activities were. You kind of had to eat your meals in the dining room because I never knew what time activities were going on. I finally figured out that sometime after breakfast would be an activity. If you were in the dining room, you'd be there when it happened or after lunch. The food is decent. Not great, but not bad. She said she cannot complain. The staff is working as hard as they can. They're knowledgeable, and they're good when they're here. They're very understaffed right now. It's probably one of the lowest-priced, and Medicare has paid for all of it.

My father-in-law was at Hillcrest North. He had excellent care. The staff was good to him. He wasn’t there but three days. They were very helpful. The community was well-kept. The atmosphere was like homey-hotel type place. It is worth recommending.

I think Beverly Park Place was satisfactory. The staff was good. The rooms were too bland, and the private ones were spacious. I like its location.

Hillcrest North was the one that was really dirty, overpriced and overrated. It didn't smell clean and it didn't look clean. It was really not decorated that nice. The people were pretty helpful though. They could improve on cleanliness, decors, and more activities for the seniors.

I really don't have anything nice to say about them, other than about the lady who showed me the facility. She was very nice, very sweet, very professional and very courteous. As soon as I walked in the place, the main floor had no patients on it. It stunk, it's just so horrific. The rooms were not like the pictures online. The beds were older and the mattresses were broke down. The big old boxy TV for me is unsafe for elderly people and I visited other floors and there were patients who were just slumped over, with their gowns falling off their shoulders. One of the elevators was broken.

The staff at the home were friendly and helpful when asking for directions. The facilities were kept clean, although the overall facility looked like it needed to be updated and had not been redecorated in several years. The physical therapy staff at Hillcrest North were very helpful at offering explanations about treatment options and very knowledgeable about their subject matter, as were the doctors present. The only complaint would be that the meals at the nursing home were very poor quality. The meals served to the residents were lukewarm and did not seem very healthy. The cafeteria options were also very poor, with no vegetables being offered and an extremely limited menu with only a few items. While this nursing home is one of the less expensive in the area, I would not recommend this facility for long-term care and would only want to be treated here for a temporary condition.
