My mother-in-law resides in Sycamore Trace. Her husband is there, too, but he doesn't need much help. It's very good and very well run. It's a nice place, it's very clean, it smells okay, and it's kept up nicely. The workers are constantly interacting with the residents. If there's a problem, they want to fix it. They're very responsive. I would recommend anyone to go there if they need a place like that. With regard to food, I ate some of their vegetable soup that my mother-in-law didn't want to eat, and it was decent. It's good enough to eat. My father-in-law seems to like it fine, too. The facility is all on one level. It's not huge, and there's a dining room where people can gather together and chat and stuff. They have a couple of other rooms on the side if people want to play cards or something. They play bingo sometimes. There's a lobby in the front where people can watch TV if they prefer. They got pictures of some of the veterans. They have other activities. I think sometimes they'll serve ice cream or stuff for the people. They treat everybody well there.

We toured Sycamore Trace for my mom, and I thought it was excellent. I was very pleased. The staff was very helpful and very willing to answer any questions that we had. They just were very friendly and so I felt very comfortable there. The place was very clean, and everything seemed to be very in order. It seemed very easy to move around in. I was impressed with it. It smelled good and it didn't seem like a place that, I guess, can be compared to other nursing homes or hospitals.

I liked Sycamore Trace really well. It was very clean, very nice and updated. I talked to a few of the residents and they really liked it there. The room we saw was nice and sufficient. There were four wings, two on each side of the building, and they had a place fixed out with some shade if they wanted to go outside and sit. They had flower gardens, and the residents could plant flowers or grow a tomato. I talked with the activities director and there was plenty for them to do not to get bored. The cleanliness was good, but the size of the room was small.

My family and I had Thanksgiving Dinner with a relative today. The food was wonderful! The dining room was fall-theme decorated and we were greeted and seated as part of their family. Our relative has been a resident since the latter part of September, and we are very happy with the quality of care she is receiving. The staff is very kind and helpful with her and to us. Thank you, Brookdale.

I recently visited my former neighbor at Brookdale. I was impressed with the facility from the time I pulled in the parking lot. The inside was very well kept and the staff assisted me in making sure I felt welcome. Looking forward to more visits with my friend.

I like Brookdale because it is small and they will not put my mom in memory care. They take care of her, shower her, dress her and make sure that she gets to her meal and activities. They do exercise, trivia games, and take them on a bus for shopping trips. The rooms are not very big, but they are always kept up and clean when I visit.

Brookdale Kingston is a very caring place. My mother-in-law has Alzheimer's, and they were helpful in every single way. They broke down the process and explained to us what the coming events would eventually be. They are just wonderful, and they have such experience and knowledge. You can see that every staff member is happy with smiles on their faces and always willing to help and answer any questions that we have along the way. It's a wonderful place for her, and she is thrilled right now. The building hasn't any odor like sometimes nursing homes had; it's very clean. The dining room is beautiful. They have two common areas with televisions, and they have a fireplace. It is very well maintained. When she moved into her apartment, it was all brand new paint and brand new air-conditioning units. Not only were we able to try the food, they invited us to have sample dinners and lunches, and they also had gatherings for families to come. They have a chef there who is phenomenal. The food is awesome, and it's freshly baked or freshly made; it's delicious.

Mother has been at Wellington Place of Kingston since March. I already looked at it a year or so ago, and everybody I talked to said it was very good. Some of their parents are there, too. It’s a very nice and secure community. Everybody has to press a button to get in and out. Nobody has the code except the people who work there because most of the residents have Alzheimer’s or dementia. In addition, they have an outside courtyard, a lot of sitting room, and a community room with a television and piano. They’re very caring and friendly. They give individualized service depending on what the patient needs. My mother does not get up at 8:00, so they allow her to get up late to eat breakfast. They give a little bit of leeway because everybody has their own differences. In addition, they have activities every day. They go to places like ball games, shopping, and lunch. She likes it there because of the people she can talk to.

This is a great facility for our part of the country. Rural Tennessee cannot afford every feature, but this facility was sufficient. Price was reasonable, and food was regional in nature, not always the healthiest but locally prepared. The only thing was there could have been more activities. I realize there is a cost, but the daily schedule was just not that rich.
