My mom has been in the Regency House for three weeks now, and they've definitely met my expectations. Their staff is very friendly and seems genuinely concerned with the residents. They interact with them. It's just a good environment. I think there's maybe a capacity of around 50 or so, and it's more of a family feel than a nursing home. What I like the most is the care that they provide and the location. It's convenient for me because it's located between my work and home. It's also a place that gives us the best care that she needs. The rooms are really nice too. They're almost like a little small apartment. She has a living space, and then a little small separate bedroom (which is all hers). It's private, so it's nice that you could bring all your own furniture and stuff from home. They have daily activities like trivia and bingo. They've been really good to work with. They've called me, kept me up to date on different things, and go above and beyond in what they could do.

When I arrived at Regency House, they had a desk to the right, and I asked for somebody to speak to, and their staff came while I was there. The facility had a flood, and it was under construction. They had moved half the residents to the other half. I don't know how they did that, but they had to move and shuffle people around. That's not their fault, but they're going to have to do something major to prevent it from flooding again. It was in our price range, so we were able to afford it, but there were no rooms available. So, we got on the waiting list, and they said it would be six months, probably before there would be any openings. The lady was nice. The people in the facility were a huge range of different types of people. They seem more dementia patients. I talked to a few of them while we were waiting. I would say that if that was my only choice, I might have put my dad there and his room would have been on the second floor, but I had another choice. The facility was clean, and it looked nice, but it wasn't upscale, like the other place I visited, which wouldn't matter to me, but it could matter to other people. People were in their rooms. The contractors were there making a lot of racket. They had a few people sitting in the dining room, and everybody else was in their room. The staff were very kind and very nice. I don't think it's a good idea to make a two-story house into an assisted living house. They put in the elevator, but I do think the stairs are a little dangerous for older people who don't have dementia and might use the stairs even if you tell them every day not to.

This facility is wonderful while the previous director of nursing name Renee cause all kinds of problems clinically. Believed now that she is gone things are getting back on track. The administration is very caring and concerned. it's a wonderful place come see for yourself.

About three months ago, I put mom in Regency House, and so far, the experience has been very good. I chose it because of its location and cost. They have a small exercise room. I haven't tried the food, but Mom always has positive comments. The staff is fine.

I am moving my mother this weekend to a place called Regency House. We have not even moved in, so I don't really know a whole lot about it other than they have just been qualified to give dementia and Alzheimer's care, but I like it. It seems to be homey, a small community, and I like that being smaller, and it is close to where I live. I have not met anyone other than the administrator and the head nurse.

Regency House is where I am moving my mom. It is really good. So far she is not living there yet, but I love the staff. They were really good, and they showed me everything. She will actually have a menu to get from her mail which the other facility does not give them. The day that I talked to them, they actually asked me for any food she didn't want, so I told them. Almost every single day, that is the food she got. The room that I was shown is really nice. She had been in there before about ten years ago. She liked it there, and she liked the people. That is why I went back there because I knew the whole staff has changed and the executive director has changed. They had done a lot of remodeling; I went in there, and I was surprised. The executive director is great too.
