I visited this facility

During my visit to Life Care Center of Greeneville, the receptionist welcomed me and asked me to sign in. I was there to inquire about moving my mother from another facility. After taking a tour, the admissions staff explained the process and answered all my questions. The facility is exceptionally clean!

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was brought to the Life Care Center very sick (3 days before Christmas) and not able to walk or do a lot for myself. The staff welcome me, and I felt supported. The room spacious, clean and private due to my deteriorated health. The very next day the Dr., nurses, cna,s , physical therapist and occupational therapist all of them worked together implemented a rigorous and effective plan. I am grateful to all of the staff with special thanks to the kitchen staff, the cleaning crew, the driver, the social workers I got better. I am at home thanks to God and the wonderful care and support of this center Life Care Center in Greeneville TN.

Place is well kept and always clean. Admissions is prompt on answering any questions that I had regarding the facility and process of getting a family member into the facility.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This place is terrible. Covid is spreading like wild fire. The nurse don't care. Had to bring in my own test to prove to them that my loved one was positive. Then got told no they was negative. Had their call light on for 20 min. Please do not send your love one to this place. Nurse are very rude also.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I would have given zero stars if I was able. My mother in law was admitted for a short stay (less than a month) for some intensive rehab after her stroke a year ago. We explained her care, comforts and needs very clearly to multiple people the first few days she was there. By the end of the first week they had her so over medicated that she couldn't hold her head up or open her eyes most days. When this was questioned multiple times, the only response ever given was that she was getting the meds she was supposed to get. At the beginning of her fourth week there she was sent to her wound care appointment unchaperoned. As soon as the nurses saw her they sent her to the ER. Someone had drug her immobile right foot to the extent that her toenails were sanded down and the skin was scraped off heroes and she was bleeding severely. They also noticed that she was extremely over medicated and severely dehydrated. The hospital admitted her for those things and sepsis from a bladder infection because they never changed her catheter. 3 weeks later we are still trying to get her recovered from the damage they did. When we took the tour and met the people it all seemed good. DO NOT fall for their smoke and mirrors act, I beg you. Your loved ones life is at stake.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My Greandfather was a patient at Life Care for nearly two months. During this time, I had to repeatedly ask them to help me change his clothes and bedding. My Grandfather is a veteran and he cannot stand closed in spaces due to previous experiences. The beds that they are equipped with have safety bars that they have to put up and he asked them not to put them up every night. He finally got tired of them doing this and he slept in his chair for 39 days at night or would sleep during the day. The facility was unsanitary to say the least and the staff was anything but attentive to my Grandfather or other residents. It was the minimum effort to make them comfortable. Throughout my Grandfather's stay, the facilty has three major breakouts of contaigious "bugs" going around and would have to lock everyone in and keep visitors out. I personally think that if they would clean better then maybe it would not have continued to spread around.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I have actually visited several nursing homes throughout my life. Lifecare Center of Greeneville was the most recent I visited. I visited due to my grandmother being moved there, and ultimately dying there last year. The staff was always kind and patient while we were there. I did notice there weren't very many on staff at the time. It could have just been because I had come on a holiday weekend. My grandmother was still of sound mind, and could do many things on her own still so the amount of people staff wasn't a big deal in this case. My grandmother loved all of the activities they would have throughout the week, particularly the party they were going to have the night after I visited in celebration of the holiday. The location of the facility would at first seem a little questionable, as the government housing is behind the facility. However, there is a privacy fence up, and there is a good amount of fencing that gives an extra level of protection. All in all, it is a good facility, and a good choice for your loved one.

I visited this facility

Life Care of Greeneville is a nice facility overall, however I noticed problems with the nursing staff here. The main issue was the lack of nurses to be honest, and then there were times that they would allow nursing students to come in to the facility to work. I have no problem with this practice at all, however to have students work alone with no supervision is an issue to me. It just seemed there were too many things going on which did not allow the staff to care for the residents properly. I also noticed problems in being able to have a nurse contact a doctor for any kind of medication needs or changes. It took a very long time to get things like that done.
