My friend went to Brookdale Goodlettsville Memory Care. It is excellent. They have caring people. It's a good and clean facility. They are doing some really good memory work with the clientele. We chose it because I thought it was a better community than the others. The rooms are adequate sizes. The facility is bright and clean, and there's no smell. Each time that I've been down there, they had activities going on for the residents. One time, there was a game they were playing. The two other times, they had singing. They have a beauty parlor. The dining area is very nice. It has tables and chairs, and there seems to be plenty of space between them.

The staff at Brookdale Goodlettsville Memory Care was very friendly. The residents were happy. They were smiling. I think they sincerely cared for their residents, but I didn't like the way it was laid out. My mother has mobility issues. She needs assistance being transferred to her room, and there was no direct hall where they could see her. It was down corners and crannies and all that. Where she's at right now, she's on a straight hall and they leave her door open and they constantly are up and down the hall. At Brookdale, part of our fear was that she would be very isolated and just kind of looked in every now and then. The place was a little rundown. The staff themselves may have done better than I would've thought they would. I also didn't like that the community shower looked dirty where they bathe and wash them. The staff seemed to be very caring. The residents interacted with them and seemed to really like them. Everyone we spoke with was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was kind of shabby. Some of the furniture was kind of shabby. The courtyard looked pretty nice. They had a little area where they could go out and circle around and come back. When they went out there, they said they would keep an eye on them.

I liked that Brookdale Goodlettsville had a seemingly high proportion of staff to all the residents. The time I visited, it was very clean and well-lit with a couple of different courtyards and plenty of space for people to live in. They were competitively priced on the lease and the all-inclusive rate. Also because it is a dedicated memory care unit, they're not rotating staff through. It seemed decent. It doesn't have as many amenities as a luxury or a higher-end unit that would cost $2000 to $3000 more a month, but inside the budget that my family had, it seemed like you weren't going to miss out on much. A lot of places have a similar sort of activities direction where they let them do a little bit of gardening. It's not like they're just inside playing bingo all the time there, but there are directed activities that are a little bit more normal hobbies. So, that I think is positive. I only talked to the executive director and sales manager, and they're both helpful. The only thing that I noticed coming right in at the time was they had a fish tank in sort of the living room/reception lobby that hadn't been cleaned in a long time. They are kind of smelly, but the rest of the place was very well-kept. We would be looking at a shared suite for my mom because of the cost and because she gets lonely. So, she would do well with a roommate. The only negative thing about them is in the shared suite, they don't have private bathrooms. It's a shared bathroom, which may cause a little bit of confusion. It might be a little bit difficult for some people to navigate.

We went to a memory care facility, which was Brookdale Goodlettsville. It seemed like a very nice place. They did an evaluation of my father, and they said that he was a fall risk, so they would not take him. Brookdale was really close, like right down at the bottom of the hill from where my parents lived. The lady, Pam, walked us around the facility. She showed us some rooms, some of the activities, the outside areas, and that kind of stuff. It looked like a really nice place. I liked all the activities that the patients were doing. I liked the cleanliness of the facility. The rooms were a fairly good size. We met some of the staff there. We met two people that seemed very nice. The staff was excellent. She's got a good personality for the job. She was very open and very caring. It's laid out like a big square. The thing in memory care facilities is that people will get lost. Often they just keep walking around the square, and they'll come back to where they were. Their layout is also very nice.

There seems to be an air tension at Brookdale Goodlettsville that was palpable. There's basically only one staff member that I saw, and she looked like she was ready to have a stroke she was so stressed out. I want my dad to be in a place that seems like they have ten more contingency factors in place in case something bad goes wrong because it seems like it was a one woman show there. I feel sorry for her. She took her time with us and she was super nice, and the residents were under control. The residents did not seem very happy and it might have been just a bad day. I think they were short staffed. The lady that I spoke with was really good. I love the layout but it seemed really dark. It was a perfect location, I wanted to pick it, and it is close to the mall. It was also clean and well kept.

My ex-husband is in Brookdale Goodlettsville. It's excellent and it's really good. He's gotten better actually quite a bit since he's been in there. It's been very good for him. His room is very good, too. What I liked the most is the personnel, they're really good. They work well with him, they're very positive, good to work with, and keep us informed also. The location is good and it's easy to get to. They have a little gathering area and the food is extra good. They can talk to each other whenever Covid is not a problem. They can have anything they want in their rooms like personal effects. It's just overall satisfactory. He can have everything he needs or wants. I have tried the food at another Brookdale resident home and it was really good, and apparently this one was very good, too. He's gained several pounds. It's expensive, but I guess they all are.

Please do not even consider this place for your loved one. The care and staffing are unbelievably state minimum, no communication-even with corporate, the place and rooms are filthy, soiled linens way too often, missing clothing and personal items, food is barely enough for them and pricing is unlimited to their discretion. After nearly 2 years of praying for better conditions, we were asked to leave, because they could not meet our expectations. It was truly a blessing. FYI these conditions are not standard or at all acceptable in a caring memory care facility

At Brookdale Goodlettsville was very nice. It was remodeled. Considering that it was remodeled, it was a decent price; it was not outstandingly high. The facility is almost like on the edge of the country, and so it is kind of out a little bit, so it is probably why it is a little cheaper; but it is very nice, and that's what I like. It is very quiet where it is out too.

We are on a waiting list right now at Brookdale Goodlettsville (Clare Bridge of Goodlettsville). We are very pleased with it. It would be perfect for my mother. It has good people. The dining room looks nice. It is a good facility. I like it.

My grandfather was a resident at Clarebridge and he recently passed away this month. Death is never an easy thing to cope with but thankfully he had two caregivers that treated him and us so well the last couple of days we had with him. Dawn and Casey (I probably spelled it wrong) were very comforting and came in numerous times within their shift to check on him and us. When they saw us in tears, a hug wasn't too far behind it. They made sure we had something to drink and reassured us that if we needed anything to pull his alarm cord. Throughout his stay with Clarebridge he was always well taken care of although I know granddaddy could be a handful. I wouldn't leave a review but when someone experiences something so rare it needs to be spoken. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a genuine place for their family members. These girls and the rest of their shift treated him and us like we were their family that is something you don't find in most places.

They were very helpful at Brookdale Goodlettsville. They were attentive to my mother’s needs, kept us informed, and complied with any requests that we had. The rooms were small, but they were cozy. They had plenty of activities. The food was good. The dining room was nice, and it was more like a restaurant than a cafeteria.

I had a close family member living at Clare Bridge for quite a while until the new executive director Amanda stepped in. Her immaturity and inexperience with Alzheimer's and dementia quickly showed. She acted put out by the people that lived there. After speaking with her in regards to an incident with my loved one she then decided to kick him out. At that time I refused to speak with her and only would speak with Kelly. Amanda was no assistance with helping me find my uncle another place she had Kelly do it. I would never make a recommendation in regards to this facility as long as Amanda is still there.

No one should bring their loved ones here! Only a handful of girls actually care who work there. The residents get left in dry BM, most have uti's because no one takes the time to properly care for each person. The staff seem to just act like they have to do this cause its just a job. so they come in and get out as fast as they can.I have walked in a seen a resident on the floor and no one is around to help get her up. These people are not trained employees, they are not carefully pick by management. they are just random people off the streets looking for any job thry can find! when you take a tour with them at first they will tell you everything you want to her like for example, they will say "We are 24 care with nurses." That crap! I had to come in very early one morning and I asked the girls on nights if I could speak with the nurse. well come to find out no nurse at all from 11pm till 630am. so if something happens in the middle of the night the only people who will have to take care of the situation are none medical/certified resident assistants. By the way thats just 3 girls between those hours.

I am the daughter of a new resident at Clare Bridge of Goodlettsville, my mother. The decision was a very long and painful one for my dad and I. But we are so glad to have chosen Clare Bridge. From my first visit, when we were just checking out different homes, to my last visit, just a few weeks ago, the staff have been awesome. And I have seen them at different times of the day and night. They have always been more than helpful and I can just tell that they really care about the residents and want to make them happy and comfortable. It has such a homey atmosphere, too. I am so thankful that my mother is in a safe and secure place with so many loving caregivers and nurses to watch after her.

I could only rate this a one and that's being generous. I've visited this facility numerous times, I would not recommend letting your loved one live here, the people they hire which are resident assistants are NOT certified as they tell you when you first visit the facility, they are just people off the street and most have NO experince. They do not watch the residents like they should, my relative I have there has a bed alarm which is never on the bed so she is on the floor constantly. They are not changed properly or promptly, the staff I've over heard , several arguments with fowl language. The residents get dehydrated because no one takes the time to help them to drink. When my relative was on purée they have been many times its still been frozen. I would NEVER recommend letting my loved one or anyone live at this terrible place, it's a nightmare!

I had just started my search for dementia care for my mother when I was referred to Clare Bridge. I had the pleasure of meeting Kelly who took the time to listen to what my mothers needs were as well as what our families needs were. She then came and met mother and helped ease our minds on the hardest decision we had to make. She made is feel like we were making the best possible decision for Mom. I am so grateful that we found Clare Bridge and Kelly who made our lives much easier.

I visited Clare Bridge of Goodlettsville which is just a couple of miles from my house. I liked it very much but they didn't have an opening at that time. From what I could see from the visit, it looked like a pretty neat place. Everything was neat and clean. They had a lot of little stations where residents could go. They had one that had yarn while one had sewing and another scrapbooking. For my mom at this point, she was too far along to enjoy that but some of the other patients could have. That was really nice and they seemed like they had a lot of activities planned.

My mom has Alzheimer's. I visited many facilities in the Nashville area. I always left crying. When I visited Clare Bridge, I knew this was where she belonged. The staff treats her like she is their own grandmother. The food is not only nutritious, but also delicious. There is a registered nurse there full time. I visit often, several times a week. Mom is always clean. She is well cared for. She is now under hospice care there, and the hospice staff says this is the most attentive facility they visit. Mom has been there for over three years, in a wheelchair. She cannot turn herself when in bed. She has had no skin breakdowns. They even turn her and change her during the night!

I had to rate this facility before my comment would be excepted. The lowest rating I could give was one star. However, based on my experience when my mother was at Clare Bridge I believe a one star is too high. I believe this facility is terrible. I moved mother into Clare Bridge on November 11, 2010 at the urging of Wanda, the campus director. I had visited Clare Bridge and received the "horse and pony" show although at the time I believed what I was seeing. On Christmas Eve, 2010 mother was admitted to the hospital. She was dehydrated. She spent 24 hours in the hospital so they could hydrate her. In Feb, 2011 I walked into Clare Bridge at 10AM to find most of the residents in the dining area with no staff attending them because they were ALL in a staff meeting. Mother had her head down on the table in vomit where she had lost some of her breakfast. My reaction at that time was to get her out of that place. However, Wanda convinced me that this had never happened before and assured me that she would see that in the future there was always staff with the residents. On Sunday April 10, 2011 I received a phone call from the nurse at Clare Bridge who informed me that mother's arm was broken. While pushing her in her wheelchair they had managed to break her upper arm (the Humerus) completely in half. Mother spent 3 days in the hospital then was moved to Vanco Manor where she received wonderful care until her death on June 10, 2011. I have no idea how the staff person at Clare Bridge managed to break mother's arm while pushing her in her wheelchair and try as I did I could get no information from Wanda or anyone else at Clare Bridge. The most we got was a statement from Wanda which was "we didn't kill her, we just broke her arm". I will never know what they actually did to my mother. I do know that the last 2 months of mother's life was filled with terrible pain. As for Wanda and the staff at Clare Bridge there was complete APATHY for mother with the only exception being one of the part-time workers. PLEASE, if you are considering placing a loved one at this facility think long and hard.

My comment would not be accepted with a rate. However, I believe this facility is less than terrible and deserves NO STAR at all. My mother was there for 5 months and I was there almost everyday and I wouldn't advise anyone to leave a loved one at this facility.

The care my aunt receives is genuine and loving. In a home where all the patients have some type of dementia, it would be easy to ignore them or just do the basic stuff. They caregivers reach out to the patients and engage them. That is rare to find.
