Fayetteville Care and Rehabilitation Center is a good place. They have a lot of staff on hand at all times, and we have 24/7 access to our loved ones. They have people come in to sing, and do outings, have a beauty shop, laundry facilities, courtyards where the residents can plant flowers, and a gathering room where they watch TV and do their activities.

I've always found patients receiving excellent care when I am visiting patients whom I also care for in the nursing home

As far as the staff and the communication go, this facility has been absolutely fantastic. It is, however, a state funded nursing home so there are many issues with their overall quality. The place is a little run down. However, the staff do their best to make do with what they have and I have never experienced them being mean, or treating anyone unkindly. For me, this is definitely one of the most important aspects of a long term care facility. I would rather my grandmother be in a place with kind and gentle employees with a panel or two in disrepair, than a brand new facility with mean/unkind staff. We pop in randomly, and never have a fixed visitation schedule. Even still, every time we come in, we're greeted by friendly smiles and educated staff. They usually know exactly where my grandmother is, and point us in the right direction. As she is in a closed area for Alzheimer's patients, she is able to walk around freely and because of the unique way they have their facility set up, they can see her just about wherever she is. Very nice facility, considering some of the places we have closer to us.

I pressed the call button to get a nurse's help to ask about my uncle's medications It took her about 30 minutes to respond and she was very angry. She acted like it was a complete inconvenience to answer my questions.. I went to the nurses' station and stood there for what seemed like an hour at about 8:00pm and no one ever came to the front.
