The appetizing aromas wafting from the kitchen hint at the culinary adventure for my grandmother. I can't help but feel uplifted by this nurturing environment.

I toured Brookdale Mount Vernon Drive. Most of the patients were further in their needs than what my mother-in-law needed, so that's why I was going to do it somewhere else. It's a memory care, so they don't put their meals. They have meals for them every day.

My husband moved into Brookdale Mount Vernon Drive two weeks ago. We chose it because it is small and close by. The price is reasonable compared to all the other places. It's still way too expensive, but we chose it for those reasons. The staff members are always very caring. If one of the residents has a problem, they will come alongside and be sympathetic, both in body language and in verbal interaction. My husband is very pleased with the food. He always says it's good. They have activities in the afternoons. They have a courtyard.

At Brookdale Mount Vernon Drive the room was really small and I didn't care for that. It was a little bit expensive. I saw residents doing activities, some were eating, some were mingling with their loved ones. The staff member was very nice and answered all our questions. Security was good. They had a dining room and a sitting area. Everything was nice.

There is not a better memory care facility in the metro-Cleveland, TN area than Brookdale Mt Vernon Drive! From the moment that we toured the facility we felt like we were at home and the warmth of the caretakers and staff is exactly what we have been seeking for my mom. The courtyard was charming and mom has already made friends in the community with other residents as they participate in fun activities. Thank you Brookdale Mt Vernon Drive for being an answer to our prayers!

What I liked about my tour at Brookdale Mount Vernon Drive was that it felt more like home than a facility. I met with the sales manager and director. Both of them were extremely nice and extremely helpful. They gave me some advice about some of the struggles that we've been having with my dad. They were just been super welcoming. Their activities director was there when I toured, and she was doing activities with the residents. They were all very engaged, and it was just nice to see. Then we had the assessment. They determined that my dad was going to be too much for that facility. The sales manager and the director both were phenomenal. They reached out and got me even more resources and more connections to help find placement for my dad. They went above and beyond.

The location of Brookdale Mount Vernon Drive was inconvenient for us. The staff members interacted with the residents. They introduced themselves to me, not even knowing if my mom was going to be there or not. They answered my questions if I had any questions. They were nice facilities. The rooms were a little bit older than what the other facility had. It looked clean. They had a hair salon slash physical therapy area, they kind of used it for both. There was a courtyard. They had an activities area, and then like a little gathering room in the dining room. The rooms were nice. It didn't have that nursing home feel to it. There was enough space, not too much space, but enough space that you could put furniture in it without everything being cramped up. The buildings were nice. I didn't get any yucky vibes when I walked up to it.

The staff was really good about helping me get the papers all fixed up for the VA. They came and took us over there. They showed us the place because I don't see well enough to drive. I had to place him in Brookdale because that one has memory care. I'd recommend them because I think they have really good staff. They seem to really care about the residents.

My husband's mother and dad had been in their Clare Bridge, which is a dementia assisted living. They were there for five years, so we were there a lot. The staff was wonderful. They treated them just like they were babies. I was just very pleased, and it's like a special kind of caring for dementia patients. It was very positive. They had regular meals, and they had special diets for people who needed them. The last year or maybe longer, his mom needed to have her food pureed, and they did that and fed her. His mother died there. We stayed with her round the clock the last week of her life. The staff took care of her, and through the whole process, they were just very understanding and kind. I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend them. They took them out to eat once a week. They took them to special functions. They had an exercise thing every morning. They had church services. They had different people come in and sing. They had a craft thing. One thing that really impressed me: they had a basket of baby clothes. They would fold those baby clothes and put them in the basket, and then they'd take them and mess them all up, and let somebody else do it. His mother loved to do it. It gave them something to do other than just sit there.
