If you are looking for a nursing facility that you can depend on, and know that your love oned will be looked after, and cared for in a professional manner, we recommend Standifer Place. We have both our sister, and brother-in-law, who is also deaf, together in the same room, in which we requested, and they complied with our wishes. The entire staff in every area have been kind, caring, and loving towards our love ones. and giving them excellent care. During this covid-19 they have kept us informed, and met our every concern. During the covid-19 breakout, they truly have been our heros. also let me add they have o covid-19 cases. Thank you so much for all the staff at Standifer Place. Allan & Deloris Russell

They give high carb meals complete with cake to type 1 diabetics. They do not clean bed bound patients properly. They let my boyfriend lay soaked in his own urine all night. When confronted all they did was apologize and offer up excuses with zero change in care. We pulled him out of there. We sent him there for stroke rehab to regain mobility not for him to lay in his own filth and be neglected by staff.
Disappointed

Bed sores, spread of candida auris, short staffed, does not provide therapy as plan indicates. Staff doesn't respond to concerns. Refusal to reduce psych meds

I would not recommend this facility. The staff doctor was hard to contact and therapy was minimal. The nurses and CNAs were kind but the administration didn't respond to questions and concerns

I am a friend of a deaf couple that is staying at Standifer Place nursing home, there are a couple of CNA's that are wonderful but This is a husband and wife in a room together and he is the one taking care of her when she need's to use the restroom or help with her food.. There have been time's that it take's up to a month or more before they have a hot shower or are bathed, one time it was 2 month's.. Now on to the food.. it's terrible I was sent a photo of what was supposed to be dinner for them and just looking at it turned my stomach 2 pieces of bread and maybe a table spoon of tuna.. Now I understand why they are hungry all the time. The side bar ask about activities for them I have not seen anything for them in 8 months, They sit in their room, I could add more but I will leave with what I said which is only half of my complaint.

Family member of resident. Horrible care, did not turn her to prevent bed sores. She was severely injured while there and the staff was horrible to deal with after the incident. I do not feel they were honest with me and took valuable time from my family member due to poor care. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Animals are treated better

I have had to be there 3 times in the last 6 years, and they patched me up, rehabilitated, and sent me home where I live alone. Excellent PT.

My good friend who is 69 had to be taken there from Erlanger. He was in a bad motorcycle wreck. He called me on my cell to say he is in a hole...I thought what? I arrived and his head was between the bed rail and head board, he had been pushing the nurse button and no help.He was laying in blood soaked pads from wounds from surgery. The blood soaked pads were balled up under his hip, he has a cracked hip. HE WAS DIRTY, didn't have any water. I couldn't get any help for him to use a bed pan, I had to do it.... It was so sad. This place use to be the old Hamilton County Nursing Home, I wouldn't take my dog there. There's no compassion for the patients that need help. Sad sad place. The Health Department need to investigate.....the place smelled of feces......

We were transferred from the hospital to Standifer Place, and if I have to rate the staff I give them a 5. The rooms where my family member is I will give a 9 as he is in a well-spacious, bright, clean room. Their food I would give a 7; some of it is good, but some of it is really crappy. The dining room is big, spacious, bright and appears to be clean. They do have activities, but we don’t participate in any. They must improve on their care.

The Health center was homey and clean. I could not say anything bad about it. The staff was very nice, helpful, accommodating, and friendly. The rooms looked very spacious. They seemed to have a lot of activities there. The dining area was clean and quiet. The service and food was great.

They were very good in everything over at the Health Center at Standifer Place. They were mother’s help in whatever she needed. They’re very professional and passionate about their job. They care for the patients and they help them. There were only two patients in each room and it was big enough for two people. It’s always clean every time I went there. It was also very homey. I hope they would serve the food warmer but there were no complaints from my mother. I definitely would recommend this place.

I'm helping a neighbor of mine find a place for her and she is now in Standifer Place. It is a brand new facility. Everything there is brand new. It's a really nice place. It is clean and it smells good there. Residents can have their own individual apartments if they qualify for it. They go in and have a six-week assessment period. My neighbor has Alzheimer's and if she can't handle assisted living, then she would go to their skilled nursing facility where she would share a room with another patient. The staff is okay. They have nice employees working there that do care about their residents. They have lots of nice and organized activities. They even have a beauty parlor within the facility. I did see the menu and it looked wonderful. It looked like good stuff to eat.

My grandma was only in Standifer Place for maybe a month and a half. Compare to the rest of the nursing home, it was clean and well-managed. The staff were all helpful. My mother chose this facility because it is right down the street from her home.

Well, they don't keep up with the residents very well. Upon arriving there, my Great-Grandma was no where to be found, and the staff did not know of her whereabouts. Half an hour later she came home walking in the rain from paying a bill. It was very disappointing to see.

My friend R was placed at this facility after falling and having an inoperable brain bleed. His wishes were clear in advance; no feeding tubes or ventilators ever. Since he was breathing on his own, food and water were withheld until he passed away. He was in horrible chronic pain before the fall, so the large amounts of pain medications they gave him was appropriate. The staff kept him very clean and kept him turned frequently. The staff were hard to get ahold of, but when they did get to answer our questions they were very compassionate and professional. Visiting hours were limited, which I was suprised about, to me these people need more visitors than any others, more for the sake of the visitors and closure than for the patient, who probably will be unaware the loved one is even there. Parking is difficult there, very limited handicapped parking and the parking lot was quite far from the Hospice unit, which is only part of the much larger Standifer Place Nursing Home.

I am very dissoluted customer. The buildings are out-dated and dismal. The people freeze because they have no heat and end up in the hospital with pneumonia. The nurses only do what they have to and are reluctant to call doctors in because they will see the neglect of the residents. I don't feel like I could recommend Standifer Place to anyone. As in all facilities, there are some nurses and CNAs who really care about the residents but then you have the "Powers-that-be" who hinder the care of the residents. Sorry but no recommendation from me, my family, or my friends.
