When my relative first moved into Parkwood Retirement, the lady went on vacation and took the keys to her room, but other than that, it's good so far. We like that it's a small and quaint place, and that there's not a whole lot of people there. They keep the grounds and grass really nice. The residents are offered the opportunity to have a little area where they can plant flowers and stuff like that. They have activities like music, cards, Bingo, they take them shopping, or wherever they want to go, they also have a beauty shop, and they clean the rooms. If I eat there, I have to pay $3 or $4. The staff seems very nice and they hang up all her pictures, the cleaning lady really helps out, and the residents are also nice. They keep the inside and outside of the place nice and clean. It could use some upgrading, but for an old person, maybe it's just fine. There's also not a lot of parking spaces and it could get very crowded sometimes. The value for the money is good because I went to another place and it was was more expensive, but wasn't as nice as Parkwood.

NHC Health Care is a small, family like environment. The food is very good. They have Bible study, movies, and trips, and that is about it. We picked this one because of the location. It is close to family members. So far, it has been very good. I have nothing negative to say about them. They have a wonderful staff that is willing to help you in any way they can.

I was a patient in this facility for 6 weeks. the care was very good and I felt safe. The food was good, and I could eat in my room or the nice dinning room. The rooms and other area's were cleaned every day. Excerise was provided 6 days a week. All of the care givers were great.
