My mom is a resident of The Waters of Bristol. It's one of the nicest nursing homes I've ever been in. They have very good workers there. They seem very caring. They've been very patient with our mom, which is very important, just the whole facility is very nice. We feel like they are meeting all her needs. It makes us feel good to know there are caring people there and they can take care of her when she isn't with us or when we're not with her. It's shared, she has a roommate. She also has a nice fireplace there. They have activities every day. They also have a hair salon inside.

My mom is at The Waters of Bristol. The room is very nice. It has a fake fireplace. It is very nice, clean and everything. She has a private room. They have a recreation room with games and stuff. I also know they have a very nice dining area. My mom has been there for a couple of weeks now, and she has Medicare helping her with that right now.

While the facility is beautiful, I am appalled at the lack of compassion with the nursing care. The nurses did not check on my family member for at least 6 hours (I know because I was there.) The CNA staff did check on my family member once in 6 hours but no nursing staff. Also, whenever we were visiting daily in the evenings, we noticed many residents at the desk slumped in their wheelchairs. It consistently smelled like urine in the facility and not because the CNAs weren't working. They were working passing out trays, and also helping many many residents. The social worker was non-existent and when concerns were calmly brought to the Director of Nursing, she was rude. The only positive staff interaction was the housekeeping and maintenance staff. They were very kind. Unfortunately as much as we wanted to like this facility, I would not recommend this facility to anyone due to nursing care.

We had Mom in a nursing home at the Waters of Bristol. They were awesome. They took very good care of her while she was there. They gave her therapy. There were activities going on all the time there. Even though she might not participate all the way, they still took her there in a wheelchair, and she enjoyed what she could with it, so it was awesome. They offered a variety of good, nutritious meals. They always had something different. The food was good. There were no complaints on our part with the food. I've been in some nursing homes, and I've visited with some relatives, and with close friends, and they were never as good as this one. It just was unreal. Her room was beautiful. They had three different seating areas. They had an outdoor courtyard, that was gorgeous, with a covered picnic area. It was just lovely and well kept. We used their laundry service and it was good. They transported their residents to their doctor visits if needed. They had a transportation van that they use, and Mom went several times with it and it went well.

I tried to get my mother moved to this facility because the current one is severly understaffed and not taking care of their paitents. It says on their website they take dementia patients and that is a lie! Because I was honest about her care at the other facility they declined to take her and basically said it was because they did'nt want her to get hurt there. This area has no place for seniors to go to get humane care!!! I will not recommend anyone to go here.

My father was a admitted on October 21st. He is 75 years of age and he has had Type 1 Diabetes for the majority of his life. He has done a fabulous job taking care of himself. His A1c has rarely been over 7.2. We have been in yhe room with my dad on several times when the nurses have asked the family how many units of insulin to give him. This is not our job. My husband and I went out of town and received a phone call on Saturday. My father was incoherent. My 2 aunts and cousin were with him and I asked to speak to a nurse. It took 25 minutes to find a nurse and I asked him to do a urine screen (which he told me would not be back for 48 hours), then I asked for a check on his blood sugar. There monitor couldn’t measure it because it was too high. I told them to send him to the ER. I also requested to speak with the physician that makes rounds. She called and told me the hospital had ordered 3 units of insulin for breakfast, lunch and dinner. She also told me I was looking for someone to blame. I have not been able to get in touch with her or Mr. Clark, who supervises the facility. Now, my father has been hospitalized. We have seen and been asked by nurses how much insulin to give my father. This is not our job.

My aunt moved into The Waters of Bristol. We have been able to get in touch with the nursing manager, the head therapist, and the discharge planner. Any time we need to, they've been responsive. They are excellent at sending out notifications and voice messages when there is any change in the visitation due to COVID. We've been very happy with their handling of COVID, how careful they are about screening people who come into the building, making changes when necessary, and then notifying all the interested parties. They are very caring, kind, and professional when doing their work. They do a good job. They have common areas, outside areas, and a nice dining room.
