My wife and I are here. It is a nice and comfortable place. Everything is pretty good. It is a nice and relaxing place to spend our retirement years. We have a very nice apartment, we have two baths and a half, and two bedrooms; we are very comfortable here. We have three daughters that live in the immediate area and we are closer to our children and grandchildren. There are a few things that I guess I am not satisfied with; it is hard to get everything in one place. There are some things that are not quite what I would want, but all in all, it is a very nice place to live. The staff members are pretty good and are very nice. They keep the place very clean and neat. The people in this place just like to eat and go back to their apartment, so it is hard to get action. They have bingo, some bowling, and several different activities, but they don't seem to be very active, and it is difficult for the person in charge to get enthusiastic if they don't get any turnout on it. They have a salon here for the ladies, and they have therapy, exercise, and different activities like bingo, card playing, and dominoes.

I visited the assisted living of Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living. They didn't have any independent places open that I could look at during my visit. All the independent apartments are rented so all I could see was assisted living. The apartment I saw was small. They were just painting it and the carpet was pretty worn. I don't know if they're just going to replace the carpet or anything like that. It looked clean and smelled clean. I only looked at one apartment, which didn't have a microwave in it. I was hoping for it to have one but all it had was a refrigerator. I know they have movies and a chapel. I think they also have bingo. The staff seem nice and very friendly. They make you feel welcome.

I went to Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living. So, first off, everybody was extremely friendly when we got there. They were willing to help right away and showed us what we wanted to see and everything like that. The place itself was easily accessible. It is two or three stories, I can't remember, but elevators were in there and easily accessible. So, stairs weren't a problem or anything along those lines. So that was the second thing that we took from the place. The apartments themselves were very nice. I like the layout of them. And everything seemed up to date and clean. Everything in the room was included as I understand it. They had a fridge and microwave. There was a stove and oven combination in there, too. The staff was super knowledgeable and answered all of our questions greatly. And, she was very nice.

My wife and I were there at Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living for a tour. I was very impressed with this facility. It's very clean. The staff are very helpful. They're pretty knowledgeable. The lady that we talked to had a couple of questions for us and we had some questions for her as well. The price for the facility is very reasonable. But it's one of those things that I have to talk to my brother about to see what he wants to spend as far as the facility goes. The staff who gave the tour showed us two different rooms. The waiting list is short, which to me is an indication that they've got people that want to move in. They're very willing to work with me and my brother as far as that goes. It was a good experience; I enjoyed it. They have three activity rooms. They usually have something going on almost every day. One of the rooms has something going on every day. They've got puzzles, and games. They've got one room that, two days a week, they have ice cream socials. The residents can get together and have ice cream, popcorn, coffee, tea, and refreshments. They try to keep the residents busy and keep their minds active, which to me is a good thing. The staff we talked to was very cordial, too. They welcomed us like we were the ones moving in. They were just immaculate. They're going through a renovation right now. They were getting things renovated and upgrading their facilities, which I was impressed with as well.

Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living was bright, very clean, and it looked like the residents were moving around good and happy. The staff was very courteous. They were quite interested in my father. The structure of the building was very good. They keep it up good. The dining area was very spacious. It had a lot of room between the tables. The atmosphere of the community was joyous. People looked like they were satisfied.

Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living was clean and friendly. It was easy for the seniors to go from place to place, and they had the help they needed. As far as I'm concerned, they could always use a few more employees. But those that I saw were working. They had a nice outdoor space, but not huge. Indoors, they had nice seating areas where they could relax and watch TV. There was another area where they could play cards and things like that.

I toured Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living. All they did was take me to the second floor and showed me a room. It was not just a room, it was a two-bedroom, a front room, a small kitchenette, and your own private little walk-out deck, and it was very, very nice. Whoever I talked to when I called, I asked them, 'Do they take dementia patients? Can they handle somebody with dementia?' And I was told, yes, but when I got there, I was told they were wrong. I wouldn't have bothered to even go there had I known that because I need a place that can take dementia or Alzheimer's patients. It's very nice and very clean. The staff who gave the tour was a very nice young girl. We got on the elevator and went up to the second floor and went into a room that they keep to show the people what the rooms are going to look like. It was very clean. It's two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a small kitchenette. And you could make some meals there because there is a stove, a refrigerator, and cupboards. It's a nice place. The surroundings were very nice. Everything was neat, clean, and orderly. However, whoever answers the phone better get it into their head that they don't take dementia and Alzheimer's patients because I wasted my time. I wouldn't have gone there if I had known that. But it's still a very nice place from what I've seen.

I toured Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living. It was really nice. The staff was good. They had physical therapy, right there. You wouldn't have to leave to go do that, which was nice. They have a bus where they can take them places, and that would have been convenient for my sister to do that. They didn't have to eat the meals. They could take them from downstairs, get a tray and take them up to their apartment if they wanted to, which was nice. We were just kind of looking at the apartment and the amenities that it had inside, and it would have been convenient. There's a hospital just down the street, and there are a couple of restaurants. There's a mall, Target, and Walmart. It's right in a good neighborhood.

We visited Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living and will probably pick that for my mother. They had a lot of amenities. The facility was very clean. The residents seemed to like it very much. The food is apparently quite good also. We didn't try the food, but we saw the menu and talked to the chef. We talked to some of the residents that have been there for a while. They have a nursing station. They handle the level of care up to anything short of a nursing home. The rooms we saw were spacious and very clean. They were not furnished, but quite nice with large closets. They were bright and well-maintained. They were a little bit dated in some areas right now, but the staff told us that they're currently undergoing a renovation. They were very clean, and they are being upgraded right now.

I toured Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living. What I like most was the two-bedroom facilities with the patio and with the kitchen, and they have all of those. What I like least were the small rooms. The kitchenettes were zero, and the one-bedroom apartments were too small. As far as amenities, their assisted living is nice with transportation, and I like that. The staff who gave me the tour was great. There were no areas that need to improve on. It was just the fact that it was not the kind of living that I would like. It just didn't appeal to me. However, they offer transportation, meals, cleaning, and activities.

The best thing about my tour at Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living was the lady that gave us the tour. She seemed like she cared, and going through the hallway, she knew people by their first names, so I thought that was encouraging. The rooms that we toured looked nice, big, and clean. And it sounded like they were going to do some remodeling in the common areas like there's a new chapel and they move some things around. It sounded like they're caring about their residents. However, there wasn't much parking for visitors. It was lunchtime, so people were coming in for lunch and sitting down and being fed. There was a sign saying that there was going to be bingo in the afternoon, so I didn't observe any activities, but we met with the activity director, and she was very nice.

My father moved into Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living 4 weeks ago. It is very beautifully decorated. You could smell the food right away as you walked in. It smelled good. His room is nice and freshly painted, but it's very small. They don't supply any furniture. You have to supply everything. I haven't had the food, but my dad says the food is really bad. I know they have ice cream socials twice a week. They have card games and other activities as well. They have live entertainment once in a while. The Community Resources Director is a super nice lady. She's been very helpful. She lets me vent when I need to. The nursing staff is very overzealous and restrictive as far as their medications go. It's not necessarily good. They don't listen to what their residents say. They seem to kind of cut people off. They just walk into apartments whenever they feel like it, and I don't think that's right. They should be nicer and less intrusive.

Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living was an excellent community. They showed me a beautiful one-bedroom apartment and it was just perfect for me. Everything was great. There was nothing that I did not approve of. There was a group playing bingo when I was there and their outdoor space was very nice. It's absolutely clean, too.

We went and toured Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living. I love the friendly staff. I like the amenities that they offered. I also like the cleanliness, the upkeep, and the maintenance of the place, just everything they offered. I only got to meet a few people because it was a holiday weekend, but the staff we met was a 5-star.

We went to Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living. It was all fine, but it was just for older people than we are. The person who took us around was very professional. The apartments were fine. It's just a bunch of tables and puzzles and places to play cards and games. It's just not for people who want to be active, it's more for sedentary, older people. We were just looking for an apartment-type place, or a condo where you can live, and if you ever had to graduate up to more care then you would have it available in that area. But we're nowhere near that. There's an outdoor area, there's a screened pagoda that you can lounge in, so you're not getting eaten up by the bugs. There's a walking area, and that's all fine. They're doing what they can with what they have. It'd be great for older people, who still want to go do their own shopping and stuff, it's fine. I don't have a clue how the prices run on these things, but I just thought it was overpriced for what was offered. The dining area was your basic cafeteria, tables, chairs, and they had ice cream onsite. Nothing to knock my socks off. It's an older place, but it was in decent shape.
