My mother was there for several years. What a great place that really felt like home. They just changed ownership in Sept. 2016 and what a difference that has made for the better. The new owners say: They will treat your parents like they are their own"! This is a privately owned operation and you do not have all the corporate non-sense. You can talk to the owner (They live on-site) and get results. Back to my mom, she has been treated with dignity, respect, and courtesy even when she was a pain to deal with. The food is wonderful with the new chef. My mom wound up in Hospice , which they could accommodate and finally passed. We are very happy and satisfied with Kelly's overall.

My grandma lived here, at Kelly's Retirement Home, for a while when she was alive. The site is not bad, it's a little boxy, but it's not a hospital. The nurses were nice overall, but there were some who were stern. Overall, the atmosphere was pretty good. Many of the residents played cards or watched TV. There were a couple of people who just sat there in chairs or in their rooms. Activities are scheduled to get people to mingle and in general it works pretty well. One of the most real things about Kelly's is that some of the nurses visit with certain groups more than others. It isn't favoritism, it's just shared interests. My grandma knew a nurse well enough that she gave her birthday cards as well as cards for her kids. She knew the lady and had a real friendship with her. It was nice to know that even though we visited every weekend, it was nice to know that she had someone to talk to when weren't there.
